Chapter 261: Chapter 261: Loot
Within the next 4 hours, all of them returned.
Su Jiyai was the most satisfied one.
[Pawns of Devil detected!]
Su Jiyai was overjoyed. Without hesitation, she asked for the route to the institute and found a well-functioning one.
It was an underground lab, with more than 50 people as their members.
To Su Jiyai’s luck, all of the members were present and were planning on kidnapping kids for experiments as well as capturing some other humans for experimentation.
After hearing their conversation, Su Jiyai’s face turned cold.
These bugs need to be dealt with. So Su Jiyai took out a Level 7 Zombie Deterrent Bomb and threw it inside.
Unlike the previous time when Jake wanted answers to his question and the general was too hard to defeat, this institute wasn’t so powerful and a bomb would do the magic.
As Su Jiyai threw the Level 7 Zombie Deterrent Bomb into the underground lab, she watched with satisfaction as chaos erupted within seconds.
The members of the institute scrambled in panic, realizing too late what had been tossed into their midst.
There was no time for them to escape.
A deafening boom followed, shaking the ground as the lab’s interior exploded into a raging inferno.
Screams were quickly silenced, and the stench of burning metal and flesh filled the air.
The bomb worked its magic, destroying the entire facility and wiping out every last one of the institute’s members.
Su Jiyai, safely observing from her hidden vantage point outside, felt a cold satisfaction wash over her.
She had dealt with these cruel people swiftly and efficiently—no second chances.
Thanks to the high-tech material used by the lab, no sound escaped the lab.
This also made Su Jiyai realize that the Level 7 bomb was not as effective as she thought it.
Once the dust settled, Su Jiyai started to check the institute.
Almost everything was destroyed, but Su Jiyai didn’t believe that there were no hidden compartments in the institute.
[Host, I detect anomalies beneath the surface in three distinct locations. Highly likely that there are hidden treasures or secure vaults beneath the rubble,] the system chimed in.
Su Jiyai’s ears perked up at the system’s words. “Show me the way.”
A subtle map appeared in her mind, guiding her toward a section of the destroyed lab.
She carefully pried open a section of the broken wall with her enhanced strength, revealing a narrow staircase leading deeper underground.
Hiding treasure in plain sight, huh? Not bad, Su Jiyai thought, her sharp eyes gleaming.
Descending into the hidden chamber, she found a small vault, its entrance shielded by layers of steel.
Su Jiyai first used her fire to create a small crack in the vault, but it hardly made any difference.

“System teleport me inside.”
[Yes host.]
Once inside, Su Jiyai saw a rack filled with blue liquid, while the other rack was filled with green liquid.
[Host, you are truly lucky.]
“You know these liquids?” Su Jiyai asked, her words laced with curiosity.
[First, you have found Viral Mutation Suppressant Vials. These are rare antidotes created to halt advanced stages of the zombie virus infection. With this, you can temporarily suppress the mutation process for victims who have already been infected.]
Su Jiyai’s eyes widened slightly.
[Second, you’ve discovered Enhanced Stamina Capsules. These are specialized injections designed to boost the body’s resistance to both physical fatigue and viral infections. With one dose, the user can resist high-level zombie attacks and travel long distances without the need for rest.]
Su Jiyai nodded in approval. That could be useful for me during long missions.
The only problem was she couldn’t multiply it.
The only way to make it public was to research the formula and make it.
Satisfied with her haul, Su Jiyai packed the treasures into a storage ring.
“Let’s get out of here.” Su Jiyai said.
Present.
All three regrouped as planned. Jake, Xi Ping, and Fu Lin reappeared at the agreed-upon spot, each with their findings in hand. Su Jiyai, still in her blue wolf cub form, sat waiting, looking thoroughly pleased with herself.
Jake raised an eyebrow as he approached her. “You look like you had the best time,” he said, amused.
Su Jiyai meowed proudly in response, pacing around him with a little more pep in her step.
“I take it you found something big?” Xi Ping asked, appearing beside them.
Jake chuckled, understanding Su Jiyai’s language perfectly.
“Well, looks like we all had a productive time, but I found a few of the corrupt officials we’ve been after.”
Xi Ping smirked. “Oh? Well, I’ve got the most intel. I managed to dig deep into their network and found out who’s running things from the shadows.”
Fu Lin, standing off to the side, gave a slow nod. “I didn’t get as much information, but I did come across some strange zombie crystals. One of them is… different.”
Su Jiyai meowed suddenly, catching Jake’s attention. He turned to her with a knowing smile. “The assistant is telling that it’s time to leave. Everyone, hold hands.”
Without hesitation, the group complied, their hands linking in a tight circle around the small blue wolf cub.
The air around them shimmered for a moment before it crackled with energy.
In a flash, the four of them vanished from the wilderness and reappeared within the familiar confines of the Hope Base.
The cold breeze of the base’s ventilation system greeted them as they stood at the entrance.
Without wasting time, they strode toward the conference room
Once inside the conference room, Jake took a seat at the head of the table, Su Jiyai hopping up onto the chair beside him.
Xi Ping leaned back against the wall, arms crossed, while Fu Lin stood near the center of the room, his eyes thoughtful.
Xi Ping was the first to speak.
“I’ve compiled a list of the corrupt officials I managed to investigate in the last few hours.” She pulled out a paper and began listing names.
