Chapter 282: Chapter 282: Bone Marrow Pill
Just then, the system beeped softly, signaling that the bone marrow pills had arrived.
Su Jiyai quickly grabbed them, inspecting the small, glowing capsules in her hand.
“Oh! Right! Call Jake!” Su Jiyai ordered.
Jake’s healing ability was much stronger than other healers of the base.
[Yes host!]
Su Jiyai put on her veil and turned on the hidden disguise feature. In an instant, she transformed into a ball of light.
Now if anyone saw her, they would see her as a ball of light, instead of her true form.
As the door creaked open, Fu Lin rushed in with Rui Wang still in his arms. Her face was pale, and beads of sweat dotted her forehead.
The pain was getting worse, and it was clear they didn’t have much time left.
“Boss Su,” Fu Lin panted, his voice filled with worry. “We’re here. Please, save her.”
Su Jiyai nodded, her face calm but determined. “Lay her down on the table.”
Fu Lin instantly laid Rui Wang on the table.
“You leave.” Su Jiyai ordered.
Fu Lin hesitated at the door, his hand still resting on the handle. He looked back at Rui Wang, his eyes filled with fear and uncertainty.
“Boss Su, please…” his voice broke slightly. “If the baby is too harmful for Rui Wang, save her first. Don’t let her die because of it.”
Su Jiyai paused, sensing the weight behind his words.
For a moment, she wondered if Fu Lin knew more than he was letting on. Did he suspect something about the baby? Had he seen signs that Rui Wang hadn’t mentioned?
But there was no time to think about that now. Rui Wang’s condition was worsening by the second, and Su Jiyai couldn’t afford any distractions.
“I understand,” Su Jiyai said, her voice steady but urgent. “But for now, leave. I need space to work.”
Fu Lin swallowed hard, his eyes lingering on Rui Wang one last time before he nodded and stepped out of the room.
The door closed behind him with a soft click, and the tension in the air grew even thicker.
Just then, the door creaked open again, but this time it was Jake who entered the room.
His tall frame cast a shadow as he stepped inside, his expression serious.
Su Jiyai too teleported to the conference room.
Jake immediately noticed the ball of light and nodded.
“Boss Su,” Jake greeted, already knowing why he was called. “I’m ready.”
Su Jiyai acknowledged him with a nod.
Jake quickly approached the table, his hands glowing faintly with his healing energy as he prepared to assist.
Rui Wang’s breathing had become labored, her face drenched in sweat as she gripped the sides of the table tightly.

Her power fluctuations were getting worse, surging and then crashing like violent waves.
Su Jiyai stood beside her, the bone marrow pills still clutched in her hand.
“Rui Wang,” Su Jiyai said softly, trying to calm her. “Stay with me. We’re going to get through this.”
Rui Wang gasped for air, her eyes fluttering open to meet Su Jiyai’s glowing form.
“It hurts,” she whispered, her voice barely audible. “The baby… it’s trying to come out, but something’s wrong.”
“I know,” Su Jiyai replied gently.
“But we’re here to help. Jake’s going to heal you, and I’m going to make sure the baby doesn’t harm you.”
Jake placed his hands gently over Rui Wang’s stomach, and a soft, greenish glow spread from his palms.
Rui Wang’s breathing steadied slightly as the pain eased, but the energy surges from the baby continued, causing the air around them to crackle with tension.
Su Jiyai quickly administered one of the bone marrow pills, slipping it into Rui Wang’s mouth.
“This should help stabilize things,” she explained.
“It’s designed to enhance the brain’s capacity and regulate energy flow. It’ll keep the baby’s zombie side in check, at least for now.”
Rui Wang nodded weakly, swallowing the pill with some effort.
Almost immediately, her energy began to stabilize, though it was still far from normal.
The baby’s fluctuations continued, but they were less violent and less erratic.
Jake, his hands still glowing, glanced at Su Jiyai.
“She’s holding on for now, but this is only temporary. The baby’s going to come soon, and when it does, we don’t know what to expect.”
Su Jiyai took a deep breath.
There was no guarantee that the baby wouldn’t exhibit dangerous traits once it was born.
If it was half-zombie, as she suspected, there was a real chance that it could be aggressive or unstable.
She had to be ready for anything.
“Jake, keep her stable,” Su Jiyai ordered.
“I need to make sure we have everything in place for the delivery. This isn’t going to be a normal birth.”
Jake nodded, his focus unwavering as he continued to channel his healing energy into Rui Wang.
“I’ve got her,” he said firmly. “But we need to be fast. The baby’s energy is building again.”
Su Jiyai took a deep breath, mentally preparing herself for what was about to happen.
There was no turning back now. The baby would be born soon, and whatever it was, they would have to face it head-on.
As the room filled with the tense hum of energy, Su Jiyai’s thoughts drifted back to Fu Lin’s final plea before he left.
Save Rui Wang if the baby is too harmful.
His words echoed in her mind, but Su Jiyai pushed them aside for now. She had to focus on the task at hand.
With Jake’s healing powers keeping Rui Wang stable and the bone marrow pills helping to regulate the baby’s energy, Su Jiyai positioned herself for the delivery.
This was going to be a battle against time, nature, and whatever mutation was brewing inside Rui Wang’s womb.
“Let’s do this,” Su Jiyai whispered to herself.
Jake glanced at her, concern flickering in his eyes.
“The baby’s energy is getting too strong,” he said, his voice tense. “If we don’t do something soon, it might overwhelm Rui Wang.”
