Chapter 293: Chapter 293: Chip’s Use
“What… what’s happening?” Jax stammered his vision blurring.
“Just sleep for a while,” Su Jiyai said gently. “When you wake up, the chips will be gone.”
And with that, darkness swallowed them whole.
The last thing they heard was Su Jiyai’s voice, calm and confident. “Rest easy. I’ll take care of everything.”
With the system’s help, Su Jiyai easily took out the chips from all of their necks.
Compared to the institute where she had to waste time finding the remote to control the soldiers, in her base, she was a boss and could easily deal with the chips.
Once the chips were removed, Su Jiyai stitched the wounds, of course, she replaced the chip with her owns.
She didn’t know how to do so and needed the system’s help for it.
It took her 6 hours to figure it out, but in the end, she was successful in implanting her chip in them.
Once they woke up, all of them were angry.
“You! What have you done!” Jax shouted as he looked at the bright ball of light in front of him.
Su Jiyai chuckled softly, her eyes glinting with amusement.
“I didn’t do much,” she said with a smirk.
“I just implanted my chips into your brains. Now, if you even think of betraying me, you’ll die.”
Jax, Nova, and Vira stood frozen in shock, but Caden, clearly not believing her, clenched his fists.
His face twisted in defiance as he thought about ways to murder Su Jiyai.
But before he could do anything, his body stiffened.
A sharp pain exploded in his head, so intense that he couldn’t even scream.
He collapsed to the floor, lifeless, his eyes wide open in disbelief. Even in death, he didn’t understand how he died.
The others watched in horror as Caden’s body hit the ground.
Jax took a step back, his legs shaking. Nova’s face went pale, and Vira’s confident smirk vanished completely.
Their fear was palpable.
Su Jiyai’s calm voice broke the silence, sending chills down their spines.
“If you still don’t believe me, try thinking about betraying HQ now.”
Jax hesitated but did as she said.
He closed his eyes and thought of betraying HQ.
To his surprise, nothing happened.
The intense pain he used to feel when thinking of going against HQ was gone.
He opened his eyes slowly, his heart pounding in his chest. Su Jiyai’s chips had completely overwritten HQ’s control.

The realization settled in. All three of them were terrified now.
They had gotten themselves into a mess far bigger than they could handle.
Without another word, Jax, Vira, and Nova dropped to their knees in front of Su Jiyai.
They bowed their heads low, voices trembling with desperation.
“Boss Su, please! We’re sorry!” Jax said, his voice shaking with fear.
“You can keep the zombie baby! We won’t fight for it anymore. We won’t go against you, we swear!”
Vira quickly nodded, her fear overriding any previous arrogance.
“Yes, Boss Su, please forgive us! We’ll never defy you again!”
Nova, still pale, added quietly,
“We’re at your mercy. We’ll do whatever you say.”
Su Jiyai watched them for a moment, her expression unreadable.
Then, she let out a soft chuckle.
“Stand up,” she ordered, her voice calm but firm.
They hesitated but obeyed, slowly getting to their feet, though none of them could meet her eyes.
“You think apologizing will fix everything?” Su Jiyai asked, her tone sharp.
“Apologies won’t change the fact that you’ve tried to go against me.”
The three of them stood frozen, fear making their hearts race.
Su Jiyai continued,
“I have a new mission for you.” Her voice was steady, leaving no room for argument.
“From now on, you will report every order HQ gives you to me. In return, I’ll allow you to keep your lives.”
Jax, overwhelmed with emotion, suddenly began to cry.
Tears streamed down his face as he fell to his knees again.
“I don’t want to follow HQ anymore,” Jax sobbed.
“HQ… they kidnapped my wife and children! They’re holding them hostage, that’s the only reason I’m forced to work for them.”
Before Su Jiyai could respond, Jax screamed in pain, clutching his head as an excruciating pain shot through his brain.
He collapsed to the ground, writhing in agony.
Su Jiyai’s voice was cold as she watched him.
“Don’t think you can fool me. If you ever lie to me again, you’ll suffer the same pain.”
Jax gasped for air, nodding desperately as the pain slowly subsided.
“I… I understand!” he managed to choke out, his voice hoarse from the pain.
Nova and Vira stood frozen, fear evident on their faces. They knew now that Su Jiyai was not someone they could deceive.
“Good,” Su Jiyai said, her voice softening slightly. “Now, tell me. Why were you so eager to capture the zombie baby?”
Vira swallowed nervously before answering.
“HQ told us that the zombie king wanted the baby. They claimed that the zombie baby was incredibly powerful… too powerful for us to let it roam free.”
Su Jiyai nodded, her eyes narrowing as she processed the information. She had suspected as much.
Her system had alerted her just an hour earlier, reporting that two zombies, both above level 6, had been detected near the outskirts of her base.
The base’s security mechanism had been activated, and the zombies had been kept out, but the timing of their appearance was no coincidence.
However, she was truly surprised by the fact that HQ had a connection with zombie kings too.
He was truly a dangerous enemy.
“Has he issued any other command?” She asked.
Vira who was silent till now suddenly spoke,
“He has also asked us to find a blue cat.”
Su Jiyai was surprised. Did he? So he knew that she was the one who had destroyed the institute?
But how? She didn’t leave behind any evidence!
Anyways, now she can use that information and not leave the base in her cat form. For now, though she needs to focus on some other matter.
“Nova, I heard that you have sent a message to HQ previously.”
