Chapter 308: Chapter 308: Boxes
Her muscles tensed, and just as she was about to take another step forward, a massive beast leaped out from behind a tree—a stone-skinned bear with glowing red eyes.
Its claws were as sharp as knives, and it roared, shaking the trees around them.
Su Jiyai’s heart raced, but she wasn’t about to back down.
She activated her fire powers, flames sparking around her paws as she darted to the side, avoiding the bear’s first swipe.
She needed to stay quick and smart.
The bear charged at her, but she teleported just in time, reappearing behind it.
With a quick breath, she shot a stream of fire at the beast’s back, but the flames barely singed its stone-like skin.
“System, any weaknesses on this thing?” Su Jiyai asked, dodging another swipe.
[Target’s weakness: its underbelly.]
“Got it.”
Su Jiyai crouched low, waiting for the right moment.
As the bear lunged at her again, she teleported under it and unleashed a blast of fire straight to its vulnerable belly.
The beast howled in pain and stumbled, giving her enough time to leap out of the way. It crashed to the ground, defeated.
Panting, Su Jiyai wasted no time.
She continued her search, using her enhanced agility to jump from rock to rock until she spotted a faint glow in the distance.
There, nestled between two large boulders, was the Moonlight Stone Flower.
Its petals shimmered like silver in the moonlight.
She carefully dug around it with her paws and gently pulled it out, storing it safely in her storage ring.
“One down, one more to go,” she muttered to herself.
But as she continued her search for the Star Drop Flower, Su Jiyai stumbled upon something else entirely.
Hidden behind a cluster of trees was a set of strange, old boxes, half-buried in the ground.
Curious, she sniffed at them, then quickly checked to make sure no one was around. Without hesitation, she stored the boxes in her ring.
There was no telling what was inside, but she figured she could figure it out later.
Of course, Su Jiyai wouldn’t admit that she believed that due to her treasure-seeking body, she might end up gaining something unexpected!

Meanwhile, Jake was having his own problems.
He raced through the dark forest at top speed, his vampire instincts keeping him alert.
His task was to find the Flame Rock Flower and the Knight Flower, both of which were hidden deep within the rocky hills near the sect.
He darted between trees, moving faster than the human eye could follow.
But just as he neared the first location, he heard a rustling sound behind him.

Before he could react, a pack of shadow wolves jumped out from the bushes, their glowing eyes fixed on him.
Jake’s eyes narrowed, and he raised his hand, summoning his blood powers.
“Blood Strike!”
A sharp, red spear of blood formed in his hand, and he hurled it at the nearest wolf, hitting it square in the chest.
The wolf yelped and fell to the ground, but the others kept coming. Jake leaped into the air, flipping over the wolves as they lunged at him, and summoned a blood wall to block their path.
He landed gracefully on the other side, his eyes scanning the area for the Flame Rock Flower.
There! Growing near the edge of a cliff was a flower with fiery red petals, glowing with heat. Jake raced over, quickly picking it up and stuffing it into his pocket.
But as he turned to leave, he spotted something odd—a faint glimmer coming from a pile of rocks nearby.
Frowning, he walked over and pushed the rocks aside to reveal a small, intricately carved box.
He raised an eyebrow, not sure what it was, but decided to take it with him.
He tucked it into his coat and sped off, leaving the remaining wolves behind.
Now, he just had to find the Knight Flower.

Xi Ping, meanwhile, was zooming through the forest at an almost ridiculous speed.
Her super strength and speed made her search for the Five Colored Petals much faster than the others, but the location was far, and she was starting to get impatient.
The forest stretched endlessly before her, but she wasn’t one to give up easily.
As she neared the marked location, she spotted something strange.
Floating in the air ahead of her was a swirling, dark portal. Her eyes widened in surprise.
“A portal? Here?”
She cautiously approached it, curious but also wary.
Just as she got closer, a loud screech echoed from the portal, and a massive, winged beast flew out, heading straight for her.
Xi Ping barely had time to react, teleporting out of the way just in time.
“Not today!” she shouted, her hands glowing with power.
She summoned all her strength and flew into the air, dodging the beast’s sharp claws as it swooped down at her again.
With a quick burst of speed, she slammed her fist into its side, sending it crashing to the ground.
The portal closed.
Panting, Xi Ping looked around, and there, near the base of a large tree, were the Five Colored Petals.
The petals shimmered in five different hues, like a rainbow. She grinned and quickly gathered them, stuffing them into her pocket.
But as she turned to leave, her eyes caught sight of something shiny hidden in the grass.
She bent down and picked up what looked like an old, silver key.
It was heavy and cool to the touch, and something about it felt… important. She slipped it into her pocket with the petals.
Back on the mountain, Su Jiyai was still searching for the Star Drop Flower, but no matter where she looked, she couldn’t find it.
Frustrated, she sniffed the air again, hoping to catch its scent, but there was nothing.
Just as she was about to give up, her eyes landed on another set of strange boxes hidden in the bushes.
“What’s with all these boxes?” she muttered to herself.
Without thinking, she stored them in her ring.
At least she had found something, even if it wasn’t what she was looking for.
With the Moonlight Stone Flower safely stored and the boxes hidden away, Su Jiyai turned to head back to meet the others, hoping they had more luck than she did.
