Chapter 311: Chapter 311: Cultivation Pagoda
Xi Ping: “…” Thank you.
Jake: “…” Thank you.
At last in the morning, all three of them were summoned and asked to stand on the platform. To be precise only Jake and Xi Ping were asked to stand, while Su Jiyai was seated in the elder’s arms.
The elder taking care of Su Jiyai was known as Elder Song.
Elder Song stood proudly in front of the gathered disciples. His voice boomed across the platform as he began to speak,
“Last night, our Blue Sky Sect was in great danger. The Cloud Sky Sect tried to destroy us from within. But thanks to the bravery of Jake, Xi Ping, and most importantly, our dear spirit beast—their plans were stopped!”
The crowd listened in awe, and all eyes turned toward Su Jiyai, who was still seated comfortably in Elder Song’s arms.
Her wolf ears twitched, and she felt her cheeks heat up in embarrassment.
Everything had been a coincidence, and now she was being praised like a hero.
Elder Song continued, stroking his beard.
“The spirit beast showed great intelligence, accuracy, and courage. Without her, the Cloud Sky Sect might have succeeded. Her actions were the key to our victory!”
Su Jiyai blinked. Intelligence? Accuracy?
She was pretty sure she hadn’t done anything on purpose, but she didn’t dare to correct the elder.
She exchanged a puzzled look with Jake and Xi Ping, who were standing beside her, both just as confused.
Jake whispered, “Didn’t we just get lucky?”
Xi Ping nodded. “I think so.”
“The spirit beast is truly amazing!”
“Yeah! I have never seen a spirit beast as smart as it!”
“It saved us, it means, the spirit beast likes one of us!”
“Quiet possible!”
The crowd discussed.
Jake: “…” Yeah, we did nothing.
Xi Ping: “…” Just give all the credits to her.
Su Jiyai: “…” Am I truly that amazing?
The elder held up a hand to quiet the whispers that were starting to spread through the crowd.
“As a reward for the spirit beast’s efforts, I will grant her access to the Cultivation Pagoda.”
The crowd gasped. Suddenly, all the disciples were buzzing with excitement.
Su Jiyai tilted her head. Cultivation Pagoda? What was that?
One disciple near the front murmured loudly enough for them to hear.

“The Cultivation Pagoda… it’s like a treasure trove! Inside, there are powerful cultivation techniques, high-level pills, alchemy arts, body tempering skills, and so much more.
If you’re smart enough or strong enough to solve the riddles or pass the challenges, you can earn major rewards!”
Another disciple nodded.
“It’s extremely rare for anyone to be allowed inside, let alone a spirit beast!”
Su Jiyai, Jake, and Xi Ping all stared at each other.
They had no idea why this was such a big deal, but it clearly was. The other disciples looked amazed, some even envious.
Elder Song smiled warmly at Su Jiyai.
“Spirit Beast, this is a great honor. You will have the chance to grow even stronger.”
Su Jiyai blinked and gave a small nod, still processing everything.
She hadn’t expected any of this. Just yesterday, they were running for their lives, and now she was being praised for things she didn’t even do on purpose.
Jake whispered to Xi Ping, “What do you think is in that pagoda?”
Xi Ping shrugged, a curious gleam in her eyes. “I guess we’ll find out soon.”
Elder Song handed each of them a small red stick.
It looked simple, but from the serious look on his face, they knew it was important.
“This is a safety stick,” Elder Song explained.
“If you feel like you are in danger inside the Cultivation Pagoda, tear this stick in half. You will be immediately teleported out, no questions asked. Do you understand?”
Xi Ping, Jake, and Su Jiyai all nodded, gripping the red sticks tightly.
They didn’t plan on using them, but it was comforting to have them just in case.
Elder Song smiled, pleased with their understanding.
“Good. Now, let me explain what awaits you in the Cultivation Pagoda.”
As they began walking toward the pagoda, the elder stroked his beard thoughtfully and spoke.
“Inside the Cultivation Pagoda, you will face one of two types of challenges. You will either be given a riddle to solve, or you will have to fight against martial arts warriors.
If you solve the riddle or win the fight, you’ll be rewarded. It could be anything—powerful cultivation techniques, rare alchemy arts, high-level pills, or even body tempering skills. But if you fail, you’ll be teleported out with nothing.”
Jake gulped.
“And how many prizes can we win?”
“The maximum you can win is up to 100 items,” Elder Song said. “But the minimum? That could be as low as zero.”
Xi Ping raised an eyebrow. “So, we either leave with a treasure or nothing at all.”
“Exactly,” Elder Song replied, nodding.
“Remember, you must overcome the challenge to get a prize. But don’t worry, as long as you give it your best, you won’t be harmed. Now, we’re here.”
They had arrived at the Cultivation Pagoda.
The pagoda was tall—so tall that it seemed to pierce the clouds.
Its shimmering golden tiles and intricate carvings made it look like something from a dream.
“Xi Ping, you will go first,” Elder Song said, motioning toward the entrance.
Xi Ping nodded confidently.
She took a deep breath and walked toward the door. As soon as she stepped inside, the world around her changed. One moment she was in the bright, sunny courtyard, and the next, she was standing in a huge, empty arena.
The ground was made of stone, and tall pillars surrounded her on all sides. The air was still, and there wasn’t a single sound.
Then, a booming voice echoed through the arena.
“Welcome to the first challenge. You must defeat the warrior who stands before you. Only then will you receive your prize.”
A figure appeared in the center of the arena.
It was a tall, muscular warrior, his body covered in silver armor.
