Chapter 313: Chapter 313: Treasure
Su Jiyai froze mid-step as the system’s voice echoed in her mind.
She frowned, her wolf ears twitching nervously again.
“A treasure that can make the soil fertile?” she mumbled to herself.
That was a huge deal. Back in her world, everything was dead and dry.
She stared at the exit, the temptation of leaving the pagoda strong.
But then she thought about her world—how much it needed help.
Fresh soil could change everything. People could grow crops again, have food, and maybe even restore the land!
“Alright,” she sighed, rubbing the back of her neck. “I guess I’m staying a little longer.”
The system beeped happily in her mind, clearly pleased with her decision.
[Good choice, Host! The treasure is hidden on the highest floor of the pagoda. You’ll need to pass more trials to get there.]
Su Jiyai groaned.
“More trials? Of course, it can’t be easy.”
She glanced around, waiting for something to happen.
And just like that, the room shifted again. She was teleported to the next floor.
This time, it wasn’t a dim room or a library—it looked like a dense jungle, the air thick with humidity and the smell of damp earth.
Su Jiyai’s wolf ears perked up, listening for any danger.
She didn’t see any enemies, but she knew better than to let her guard down.
The voice returned, deep and booming as usual.
“This floor tests your survival instincts. Find the hidden key within the jungle to unlock the path forward.”
“A key?” Su Jiyai muttered, scanning the thick trees and tall bushes.
“This is gonna take forever.”
But she couldn’t give up now. Not when the treasure she needed was so close.
She took a deep breath and moved forward, her sharp senses alert to every sound and movement.
The system chimed in again, pulling her from her thoughts.
[Host, be careful. There are traps hidden in this jungle.]
Su Jiyai rolled her eyes. “Of course there are. What kind of trial would this be without traps?”
She pressed on, her wolf instincts helping her avoid the traps hidden under the leaves and bushes. After what felt like hours of searching, she finally spotted something shiny hidden beneath a large tree.
Su Jiyai crouched down, brushing the dirt away, and found a small, ancient-looking key. “Got it!” she grinned, holding it up.
The ground rumbled beneath her feet, and the trees around her started to part, revealing a stone doorway.

“Looks like this is the way forward,” Su Jiyai said, slipping the key into her system space.
Su Jiyai stepped through the stone doorway, her wolf ears twitching as the air grew cooler. The next floor was a massive cave with glowing crystals all over the walls.
“Dodge falling boulders while crossing a narrow bridge” The voice explained to her.
Su Jiyai leaped from one side to the other, using her agility to avoid the falling rocks.
She made it across, panting but unharmed.
The reward was a glowing Mystic Pearl appeared. The system chimed in.
[This pearl boosts your energy recovery speed by 50%.]
Su Jiyai quickly snatched it and stored it in her ring, feeling a little stronger already.
The room shifted again, and she found herself in a dark forest with tall, eerie trees.
The voice sounded again,
“Sneak past shadow beasts without getting spotted.”
Su Jiyai turned on the invisibility function and reached the end without alerting any of them.
The reward was a bottle of Moonlight Dew appeared.
[This dew will enhance your night vision, perfect for hunting in the dark.]
She stored it and moved on, her confidence growing.
Now, Su Jiyai stood in front of a giant stone door with glowing runes.
Su Jiyai stared at the giant stone door with glowing runes, her wolf ears twitching in curiosity. She knew this would be another puzzle. She just hoped it wouldn’t be too complicated.
The voice sounded again,
“Solve the rune puzzle to open the door.”
Su Jiyai squinted at the glowing symbols. “Alright, let’s figure this out.”
She pressed one rune, and nothing happened. She pressed another, and the door shook a little.
After a few tries, she found the right combination, and the door slowly creaked open.
“Finally!” she grinned, stepping through.
Inside was a large room with a pedestal in the center, and on top of it lay a shining scroll.
Reward: The scroll was labeled “Wings of Wind Technique.”
[This technique lets you move as fast as the wind and dodge attacks more easily!]
Su Jiyai’s eyes widened in excitement.
“This is perfect!” She grabbed the scroll, carefully storing it in her ring.
Just then, the ground rumbled, and the room started shifting again.
Su Jiyai braced herself, knowing another trial was coming.
When the room stopped moving, she found herself standing on a mountain peak.
The wind howled around her, and the air was thin and cold.
The voice boomed again.
“Climb to the top of the highest mountain, and you will receive your next reward.”
Su Jiyai sighed. “Of course, another climb.”
She stretched her limbs and started climbing, her wolf claws gripping the rocks easily.
The wind tried to knock her off, but she held on, her determination pushing her forward.
After what felt like an eternity, she finally reached the top.
Waiting for her was a golden herb glowing with a soft light.
Reward: The herb was called “Heaven’s Root.”
[This herb can be used to boost your cultivation by one whole level. If any of the tenants become successful in opting for the cultivation path, they eat it. ]
Su Jiyai couldn’t believe her luck. She carefully plucked the herb and placed it in her ring.
The system buzzed again,
[Just a few more floors, Host! You’re almost there!]
Su Jiyai took a deep breath, ready for the next challenge.
She wasn’t going to give up now—not when she was so close to the treasure that could save her world.
Even though Huo Ning’s power could change the current situation, compared to thousands of people eating vegetables, and only one being able to grow vegetables, instead of improving the situation, might end up ruining the situation.
