Chapter 315: Chapter 315: Gold coins
At last under a lot of insistence, the elder reluctantly let Su Jiyai go.
However he didn’t forget to pat Su Jiyai’s head and say,
“If you ever feel like coming back, the gates to our sect are open.”
Su Jiyai calmly tapped on his hand, surprising the elder,
“Do you want to stay spirit beast? Is that why you…Huh? What is this? Eh? This…this…this is a mystic pearl! Why are you giving this to me? Spirit Beast, this is too rare item! Hurry up and put this away.”
Su Jiyai blinked as the elder stared at the mystic pearl she handed over. He looked so shocked like he’d just seen a ghost.
“Elder, it’s not that big of a deal,” Su Jiyai said, trying to wave it off. She didn’t really want to stay here, but giving him a pearl was the least she could do.
Plus, she had like a million of them now, thanks to her system’s multiplication trick.
Jake translated her words to the elder.
The elder, still holding the mystic pearl like it was the most precious thing in the world, shook his head,
“Spirit Beast, this is too generous! You… you must be a divine being in disguise!”
Su Jiyai almost laughed at that. “Yeah, sure,” she muttered under her breath.
Jake and Xi Ping looked at each other. Jake was the first to speak. “Alright, now that we’ve cleared that up, can we please leave now?”
The elder looked like he was going to protest, but held himself back when he met with Su Jiyai’s teary eyes.
Was he pestering too much?
Maybe…
Su Jiyai then hopped into Jake’s arms and asked him to hold Xi Ping’s hand.
Jake with a disdainful expression held Xi Ping’s hand and the next second they were teleported to a secluded corner outside the sect.
“Where are we going now?” Jake asked.
Su Jiyai answered to him,
“We have to find an auction house. It will be great if you can use your daze skill and sell the mystic pearls I have obtained and earn a lot of gold. I have some debts which I have to pay back.”
“You have more mystic pearls?” Jake asked with surprise.
Su Jiyai lied without batting an eye,
“Oh, I got a reward, asking me to wish for something, and I asked for 100 mystic pearls. One mystic pearl can be sold for 5000 gold coins. We have to sell 99 mystic pearls by today.”
Jake raised an eyebrow. The task was a bit difficult.
Su Jiyai asked the system.
“Are there any auction houses or high-end shops selling useful artifacts?”
[There are 3 auction houses, and 11 high-end shops selling useful artifacts.]
With a rough idea in her mind, Su Jiyai answered,

“I know 11 high-end shops and 3 auction houses. We can sell mystic pearls in sets. Each set contains 10 mystic pearls.”
Jake frowned a little, thinking about Su Jiyai’s plan.
“Sell them in sets? Won’t people get suspicious if we sell too many mystic pearls all at once?”
Su Jiyai smirked.
“That’s why we’re using your daze skill, genius. We’ll sell 10 pearls in each place and make sure no one remembers us or thinks too hard about it. Easy money.”
Xi Ping asked,
“What do you both are talking about?”
Jake rolled his eyes but explained everything to Xi Ping.
Xi Ping nodded in agreement, though she was still a bit worried.
“But what if the auction houses start comparing prices? What if they find out we sold mystic pearls to multiple places?”
Su Jiyai shrugged.
“By the time they figure anything out, we’ll be long gone. Besides, I doubt anyone’s gonna be able to connect us to the sales if Jake does his job right.”
Jake sighed again, but he couldn’t deny that Su Jiyai had a point.
His daze skill was practically foolproof.
“Alright, fine,” Jake said, finally giving in. “We’ll hit the first auction house.”
They made their way to the first auction house, a large and fancy building with gold accents and a huge sign that read “Sky Treasure Auction House.”
Jake used his daze skill at the entrance, and just like that, the guards welcomed them in like VIPs.
Once inside, Su Jiyai spotted a well-dressed man who looked like he was in charge. She nudged Jake.
“That’s the manager. Let’s sell him the first set.”
Jake approached the manager, his eyes glowing briefly as he activated his daze skill.
“We’d like to sell something rare,” he said in a calm, commanding voice.
The manager blinked for a moment, clearly affected by the skill, and then smiled widely.
“Of course! Right this way, honored guests.”
They were led to a private room where they could discuss the sale.
Su Jiyai pulled out 10 mystic pearls from her storage ring and placed them on the table.
The manager’s eyes widened in awe.
“These… these are mystic pearls!” he gasped, his hands trembling as he reached for one.
Su Jiyai nodded.
“We want to sell them in a set. How much can you offer?”
The manager stared at the pearls like they were the most valuable things he’d ever seen.
“For a set like this… I can offer 60,000 gold coins.”
Su Jiyai exchanged a quick glance with Jake. That was more than she had expected.
“Deal,” Jake said, keeping his voice steady. “But we want the transaction to remain discreet. No records, no questions.”
The manager, still in Jake’s daze skill, agreed immediately.
“Of course, of course. Your privacy is guaranteed.”
After the transaction was complete, they left the auction house with 60,000 gold coins in hand and no one the wiser.
“That went well,” Su Jiyai said with a grin.
“One down, two to go,” Jake muttered.
They continued their journey, hitting the other two auction houses and using the same strategy.
By the end of the day, they had sold 30 mystic pearls they had planned to, and they were swimming in gold.
