Chapter 316: Chapter 316: House
With a conversion rate of 1:10,000, Su Jiyai felt as if she was on clouds.
She had earned around 170,000 gold coins. One gold coin contains half a gram of gold.
That means she had earned 850 million points! Without hesitation, Su Jiyai paid the debt of 208.76 million points.
Su Jiyai asked the system,
“How much more time is left?”
[Host, you can only stay in this world for the next 9 hours.]
She had the gold, she had paid off her debt, and now there was just one last thing she needed to do before leaving this world.
She turned to Jake, her tail flicking in the air.
“Let’s buy a house,” she said with a calm, confident voice that made Jake pause for a moment. He looked at her, utterly confused.
“Eh? Why? What do we need a house for?” Jake asked, still puzzled.
After all, they wouldn’t be staying here for long. It didn’t make sense to buy property when they would be gone soon.
Su Jiyai didn’t answer right away. She just looked up at Jake, her golden eyes gleaming with purpose.
Finally, she said, “Just do as I say.”
Jake hesitated but shrugged. “Alright, alright. If you say so,” he muttered. He turned to Xi Ping.
“Guess we’re buying a house,” he said, his voice full of confusion.
Xi Ping raised an eyebrow but didn’t ask further questions.
“Okay, let’s get it done.”
Su Jiyai, still in her little cub form, turned to face the sky. She spoke in her usual calm tone, though only Jake could understand her.
“System, search for a house for me,” she ordered.
The system replied almost instantly,
[What are your criteria, Host?]
Su Jiyai paused for a second, thinking.
“It shouldn’t be large, luxurious, just a small house.”
The system’s voice came back with a hint of curiosity. “Why do you need a house?”
Su Jiyai gave a small smile, but there was something secretive and meaningful in her expression.
“It’s for someone important.”
It wasn’t long before the system’s voice chimed in again.
[House found. Location: Silverpine Street. Small, cozy, and suitable for a peaceful living.]
Su Jiyai nodded in satisfaction. “That’s perfect.”

She told the address to Jake, who nodded.
Without another word, Jake held out his hand to Xi Ping, and with a quick flash, they were teleported to the new location.
When they arrived, they found themselves standing in front of a small, charming house nestled in a quiet neighborhood.
The house had a white stone exterior, a small front yard with a couple of flowerbeds, and a cozy porch that seemed to invite them in.
It was exactly as the system had described—small and peaceful, but warm.
Jake looked at the house in confusion.
“This is it?” he asked, still unsure of why Su Jiyai had picked this one. “I thought you wanted something bigger?”
“Contact the owner and let’s buy the house. Don’t forget to make a contract.” Su Jiyai reminded.
Jake blinked. “Contract? For what?”
Su Jiyai glanced back at him, her golden eyes shimmering with quiet wisdom.
“Put the house under Xi Ping’s name.”
Xi Ping raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued.
“Under my name? Why me?” she asked, feeling a bit confused and concerned.
Su Jiyai just smiled up at her, her wolf cub face softening.
“Trust me,” she said quietly. “It’s important.”
Jake looked between Su Jiyai and Xi Ping. He didn’t fully understand, but he felt jealous and couldn’t help but mutter,
“I too want a house.”
Su Jiyai: “…” Was this guy still the same one who once tried to kill me?
“Alright,” Jake said.
He walked over to the door and knocked softly.
A moment later, a man in his late forties, dressed in a formal merchant’s robe, answered the door.
He was polite but clearly surprised to see them standing there. “How may I help you?” he asked, eyeing them carefully.
“We’re here to purchase this house. And we need it placed under her name,” Jake said, pointing at Xi Ping.
The merchant nodded slowly, still looking puzzled.
“Under her name? Alright, that’s unusual, but I can arrange it. You only need to show me documents.”
“Let’s forget about the documents, I know you can easily get the house under her name, without any documents. Will you do that for me?” Jake asked his eyes flashing.
The man was stunned before nodding his head in a daze.
The transaction went smoothly after that, though there was a bit of back-and-forth as the merchant asked for details.
Su Jiyai watched quietly, her gaze soft but focused. It was clear that she wasn’t in a hurry.
She was waiting for something, but no one knew what.
Once the contract was signed, Xi Ping was officially the owner of the house.
She looked down at the paper, still trying to understand what had just happened.
“Why?” she asked softly, glancing at Su Jiyai.
Su Jiyai didn’t answer immediately. Instead, she announced,
“Let’s go back.”
After reaching a secluded corner, Su Jiyai placed the contract in her ring and opened the portal.
Just like before Jake and Xi Ping held hands, while Su Jiyai was held in Jake’s arms.
Whoosh.
The next second they reached back to their world.
However, the place where they were teleported was a bit strange…
…………….
5 days before.
HQ stared at his subordinates.
According to them, the baby zombie was killed. To confirm the news, he contacted the Torak and Sarak who too nodded and explained that they couldn’t feel any waves.
‘Maybe the baby zombie died.’ HQ sighed. ‘What a pity, if he had lived, I would have raised it and used it to control the zombies.’
However, other than this matter, there was something else that was more important.
Suppressing his excitement, he looked at Nova through the screen and asked in a forced calm voice,
“So what about that vegetable-growing girl? Did you get her name?”
Nova clenched his fist, however, there was no hesitation on his face as he said,
“Yes sir.”
