Chapter 325: Chapter 325: Who Is Boss Su?

The defenders, many of whom had lost their will to fight, could only watch in awe.

In just five hours, the reinforcement team had managed to eliminate nearly 30% of the zombie horde.

Their comical appearance no longer seemed ridiculous. In fact, there was something almost inspiring about the way they fought.

A day later.

HQ received the news about Rover Base getting attacked and asked his spies to kidnap the targets.

However, the next news surprised him.

“What? With Boss Su’s reinforcement group’s help, they were able to defend their base from zombie tide?” HQ asked with surprise.

The subordinate nodded with a grim expression, his eyes glimmering with astonishment.

HQ tapped his finger on the desk, a thoughtful look appeared in his eyes,

“Hm…what was the level of the most powerful superhuman in the reinforcement group?”

The subordinate answered, “From the sources, it is around level 5.”

“A mere level 5?” HQ asked his brows furrowed in confusion.

Level 5 was considered an average level for him. For a high-size base, level 5 was indeed an average level of cultivation.

“So how did they defeat the zombie tide? And how are they able to hold till now?” He asked.

The subordinate hesitated before reporting,

“With a pan.”

HQ stared at his subordinate, blinking slowly as if trying to process the absurdity of what he had just heard.

“A pan?” HQ repeated, his voice flat with disbelief.

“Are you telling me that a reinforcement group from Hope Base, which supposedly has a mere level 5 superhuman, managed to defend against a zombie tide with… a pan?”

The subordinate shifted nervously but nodded.

“Yes, sir. According to our sources, the pan was used by one of the fighters to take down zombies in close combat. They swung it like a weapon, and it was incredibly effective.

They also had a black car. As for the car, they used it to plow through the horde, crushing dozens of zombies at once.”

HQ leaned back in his chair, rubbing his temples. The idea of such a crude method being effective in a high-stakes battle was almost too ridiculous to believe. But the reports were consistent. Somehow, this ragtag reinforcement group had held their ground, despite being vastly outnumbered.

He let out a frustrated sigh.

“This doesn’t make any sense. How does a group with such limited strength manage to perform so well against a tide? There must be something we’re missing.”

His subordinate remained silent, waiting for HQ to process the information.

HQ’s mind raced through possible explanations.

Could it be a hidden power? A unique ability that had gone undetected?

Or perhaps the pan and the car were simply distractions, and the real strength of the group lay elsewhere?

He had heard about the car from his subordinates as well as Pan, but according to them, since they looked like an ordinary pan and car, they didn’t purchase either of them.

Hm…

“Keep looking into this,” HQ ordered, his voice hardening. “If the pan and car are truly so powerful then we will buy them.”

The subordinate nodded quickly and hurried out of the room, leaving HQ alone with his thoughts.

“Who is this Boss Su…” HQ muttered.

A day passed and Su Jiyai returned with her group.

Only to land up…in a place filled with zombies.

Xi Ping and Jake frowned simultaneously.

Su Jiyai on the other hand was about to issue a command, when she received a system prompt,

[Ding! A special mission has been triggered. Explore the-]

Before the system could complete its words, Su Jiyai interrupted,

“I am not interested.”

[Host?]

“What? Earlier when we signed up, you promised to give me rewards, but now…it seems as if I complete missions for nothing.”

[Host, this mission has a reward.]

“Is it?” Su Jiyai asked in a sarcastic voice.”I thought like all the other times I wouldn’t have one. Say what is it?”

[That has to be kept hidden. It’s a hidden reward.]

Su Jiyai: “…” I knew it!

“I don’t want to.” With that Su Jiyai was about to leave when the system’s voice sounded,

[Host, the reward is related to points. If complete you might gain a large number of points.]

Su Jiyai wanted to laugh and pass a domineering reply, ‘Do I lack points?’

But when she thought about the upcoming expansion, she gave up.

Heck, she will have enough points!

“Explain the details of the mission.”

[Host you have to explore this place.]

Su Jiyai frowned.

Explore? Wasn’t she given a task to explore the crystal cove? But the place doesn’t seem like Crystal Cove at all.

She doesn’t have to delve into the topic though, Xi Ping’s soft voice gave her the answer,

“Isn’t this Hua tribe? Why has it…become so unfamiliar?”

Hua Tribe?

Su Jiyai had rarely left the Willow Base and her own base. Hence other than knowing the name and some of the facts, she didn’t know how Hua Tribe looked before.

“Let’s explore this place.” She proposed.

Jake frowned, “What? But Why?”

Thanks to the Sun -Proof cloak, they were affected by the extreme heat, but Jake didn’t think it was a good idea to stay at such a place.

Xi Ping looked at Jake with a puzzled look, and Jake translated to her,

“The assistant is asking to explore the place.”

“Hm? Then let’s do it!” Xi Ping agreed. A glint flashed in her eyes.

Without waiting for Jake and Su Jiyai to react she started to explore the area with familiarity.

Jake rolled his eyes, thinking Xi Ping was an idiot for agreeing to demands made without any question.

Su Jiyai however felt as if Xi Ping was much more focused on the place rather than the task she had issued.

Maybe…Xi Ping knew the place…

Without giving it another thought, Su Jiyai started to explore the area with Jake’s help.

She asked the system to scan, while she looked around the area.
