Chapter 328: Chapter 328: Real Boss Su?

Su Jiyai took a quick shower and was about to head out when Yuan Xin requested a meeting.

After calling him to the conference room, Yuan Xin placed 20 crystals of heat-resistant zombies on the table and explained,

“Boss Su, this was given by the tenants of the base when they heard you were looking for heat-resistant zombie crystals.”

“Hm? Did you pay them the money-” Su Jiyai asked subconsciously before pausing, “Wait…you mean to say, they gave me the heat-resistant crystals for free?”

“Yes, Boss Su. They were grateful for all the things you have done for them and gave this small gift.” Yuan Xin smiled thinking of the expectant gaze of tenants.

Su Jiyai suppressed the rising warmth in her hand and said in a calm tone, “No need, just pay them money…”

However, before she could finish her words, Yuan Xin shook his head,

“They put this condition that if you don’t accept the crystals and tried to pay for it, they won’t give you the zombie crystals.”

Su Jiyai knowing fully well that she was running out of time, decided to accept the crystals for the time being and said in a soft voice,

“Alright. Place them on the table.”

Yuan Xin flashed a smile and placed the crystals on the table.

Once he left the room, Su Jiyai teleported all the crystals to her room and absorbed one of them.

She needs to communicate with Ge Chunli and being in her wolf form will hinder their communication.

On absorbing a crystal, Su Jiyai returned to her human form. She put on some clothes and asked the system to teleport her to Rover Base.

Within the next 5 minutes, Su Jiyai arrived inside the Rover Base.

“Locate Ge Chunli’s location.” Su Jiyai ordered as she wore the veil and quickly turned on the figure disguising button.

[Locating…found Ge Chunli’s location. Host, he is in his office right now. He is having a conversation with Yuan Xin right now. Do you want me to teleport you there?]

“Yes.” Su Jiyai ordered. The location where she was teleported was an isolated alley, there was no one around.

Whoosh.

In an instant, Su Jiyai found herself standing in the dim alley near Ge Chunli’s office.

The sudden shift in surroundings was disorienting for a split second, but she quickly regained her composure.

She glanced around to ensure no one had seen her and adjusted the veil covering her face.

As she neared the office entrance, she could faintly hear the murmur of voices from within.

“So you mean to say Boss Su will arrive at my base within the next 5 minutes?” Ge Chunli’s confused voice sounded.

There was silence for a while as if the speaker was lost in thought.

“It’s not that I am doubting you, it is just…seem unbelievable.” Ge Chunli voice sounded again after 10 seconds.

The distance between Rover Base and Hope base was more than 200 km. It was very difficult to cover this distance.

Even with teleportation, it will be difficult to reach the Rover Base within 5 minutes.

Before Ge Chunli could argue further, he heard a slightly feminine voice,

“You can now believe it.”

Turning his head, Ge Chunli saw…a beautiful woman. Though the woman looked a bit emotionless…as if she was a robot, he didn’t have the time to think about it.

He couldn’t believe his eyes.

The woman in front of him had smooth black hair, black eyes, pale skin, plump lips, and doe eyes, her nose was small and straight, while her eyebrows were arched and defined, making her look beautiful.

‘Was this Boss Su?’ Ge Chunli thought.

Form the information he had received the woman should be Boss Su.

However before he can confirm his guess, the woman in front of him changed to a completely different appearance.

Now she had become a old woman, with white hair, and wrinkles all over her face,

“Don’t stare at me like that. You will never know my true appearance.”

Ge Chunli was stunned, before realizing that Boss Su might be a shapeshifter.

“Now shall we talk about the proposal.”

Ge Chunli came out of his daze and asked a dumb question,

“Are…are you Boss Su?”

“Yes.” Su Jiyai said calmly.

“Do you have any proof?” Ge Chunli continued. Now was a critical time for his base. Any mistake might lead to the collapsing.

Su Jiyai calmly pointed at the phone and said,

“Put the phone on speaker.”

Ge Chunli did what Su Jiyai asked and said to Yaun Xin,

“He wants a proof, ask me any question, and I will answer it. Ask me something you and only Boss Su know.”

“The name the person who treated my father.”

“Jake.” Su Jiyai replied and Yuan Xin’s reply came form the other side,

“She is Boss Su.”

Ge Chunli relaxed and hung up the call. Remembering about his situation, Ge Chunli asked with a solemn expression,

“Boss Su can you take over my base. The citizens of the base are ready to give their land to you. Some are ready to sell it, while other wants to share the ownership.”

Su Jiyai nodded,

“Alright then, we can begin. I want to make three things clear. First, any of the citizens of Rover Base, should not interfere with my work.

Second no backing out once the walls are built around the base and third and the most important rule, I don’t allow any bullying in my base.”

Ge Chunli hesitated for a moment, absorbing her words.

On one hand, Su Jiyai was his last hope to save Rover Base from collapse. On the other, her control meant giving up much of his own authority over the base.

But desperate times called for desperate measures, and he knew he had no choice.

“I understand,” Ge Chunli replied, his voice steady.

“The citizens of Rover Base will comply. As long as you can protect us and provide a sustainable plan for the future, you’ll have full control.”
