Chapter 332: Chapter 332: Goddess Su
“Angel would be an insufficient adjective to describe her! She is a goddess! Only a goddess can care for humans like us.”
“Exactly. Just a few days ago I was wondering if god even remembers us. If he does then why doesn’t he reply to our prayers? Now I know he was there the whole time and had already come up with an answer to our prayers!”
“Wu…wu…I feel like crying. It has been such a long time since I felt so relaxed, I wonder why.”
“Maybe it’s because of the invisible but invincible barrier around the base, didn’t you see how those zombies couldn’t even touch the gates of the base? It was all because of the sudden emergence of the protective barrier.”
“Truly was starting to wonder whether Boss Su wanted all of us killed and hence issued such a command.”
“Kill us? What a joke! If selling us food at such a low price, is killing us then, please continue to kill me.”
“Correct, hey is that…processed meat? My god! I just want to rush in and buy 10s of those!”
“You can’t…there is a limit to what each of us can buy.”
“Boss Su and Leader Ge are truly thoughtful. They ensured that none of us are empty-handed!”
“From now on I will call her Goddess Su!”
“Me too!”
“All hail Goddess Su!”
“All hail Goddess Su!”
Humans are complex creatures. People who were calling Su Jiyai a profiteer just a few days ago now suddenly started to worship her.
Su Jiyai wasn’t thrilled with the praises of the citizens of Rover Base.
She might be their savior for now, but once she takes over the base, she might be worse than a profiteer.
But does it matter?
Nope.
As she saw her bank balance rising rapidly, Su Jiyai calmly retreated to a corner.
She handed the system all of the items she had obtained from the immortal cultivation world and asked it to multiply the items.
By afternoon, all the citizens of the Rover Base had stocked up and eaten their lunch.
They were so full, that tears of joy started to slip out of their eyes.
For the first time in the past few years, they had enough to eat. Not to mention, the temperature around the base had reduced significantly, giving them the chance to enjoy a rare moment of peace.
Meanwhile, Su Jiyai had asked Ge Chunli to find the temperature-controlling plates.
Feeling tired, Su Jiyai fell asleep.
By evening Ge Chunli didn’t find the plates and could only promise to find them tomorrow.
Su Jiyai didn’t press further, instead, she asked Ge Chunli to find a poison superhuman for her.
Ge Chunli agreed.
“Also ask them to stay in their room for tonight.” Su Jiyai announced.

This time Ge Chunli didn’t even think and agreed.
Just the fact that Boss Su provided them with cheap food, made him start to trust her unconditionally.
Ge Chunli stood at the center of the base, surveying the citizens gathered before him.
He took a deep breath and raised his hand to gather everyone’s attention.
“Everyone, listen up!” Ge Chunli called out. His voice echoed across the open space, causing the crowd to fall silent.
“Boss Su has another instruction for tonight. She’s asking everyone to stay inside their homes and not leave until tomorrow morning.”
A murmur ran through the crowd as people exchanged confused glances. Ge Chunli could sense the unease starting to build.
“Boss Su has done a lot for us already,” Ge Chunli continued, trying to keep his tone reassuring.
“She gave us food when we were starving, she set up the protective barrier that’s keeping the zombies out, and she’s made sure everyone has what they need. Now, she’s asking for one simple thing: stay indoors tonight. That’s all.”
For most of the citizens, this was enough.
After all, they had seen with their own eyes what Su Jiyai was capable of.
They had eaten food they hadn’t dreamed of having in months, and they had been shielded from the threat of zombies.
“He’s right,” a woman in the front said, nodding. “Boss Su saved us. Staying inside for one night is the least we can do.”
“I agree,” another man added. “She gave us food at such a cheap price. We should trust her.”
A few others chimed in, expressing their gratitude and their willingness to follow Su Jiyai’s instructions without question.
The relief and contentment from their recent meals seemed to outweigh any doubts they might have had.
But not everyone in the crowd was convinced.
A man near the back, arms crossed, frowned in suspicion. He raised his voice, cutting through the growing wave of agreement.
“And why should we just blindly trust her? We barely know anything about her!”
Heads turned toward the man, and the murmurs grew louder.
Ge Chunli narrowed his eyes, recognizing the troublemaker as Li Qiang, a known loudmouth in the base.
Li Qiang had always been vocal about his distrust of outsiders, and it seemed that Su Jiyai was no exception.
“She shows up out of nowhere, gives us food, and now we’re all supposed to just obey her without question?” Li Qiang continued, his voice rising.
“What’s her real plan, huh? Maybe she’s fattening us up so she can kill all of us.”
Several people gasped at his bold accusation and a ripple of discomfort spread through the crowd.
A few others, emboldened by Li Qiang’s defiance, began to murmur in agreement.
“Yeah, why should we stay inside tonight?” a woman next to him said. “What’s going on that we don’t know about?”
“What if she’s planning something behind our backs?” another man added.
Ge Chunli felt a surge of frustration rise within him.
The citizens had been saved by Su Jiyai, yet here they were, questioning her motives at the first opportunity.
He clenched his fists, trying to maintain his composure.
“Enough!” Ge Chunli barked, stepping forward to face Li Qiang.
