Chapter 336: Chapter 336: Double Price
Su Jiyai leaned back in her chair, thinking for a moment. Then she spoke casually,
“The rent for a single room is 10,000 federal coins or 10 level 1 zombie crystals.”
Ge Chunli blinked, surprised by how low the price was.
“10,000 federal coins?” he repeated.
“That’s… much lower than I expected. Most places outside charge at least 30,000 coins for a room, and those aren’t even close to being this nice.”
Lower?
It was double the price she was charging to her tenants back in Hope Base.
The system had explained to her, that for all the places owned by the system, Su Jiyai couldn’t change the rental price, but on base, acquired by her own, Su Jiyai could fix the rent price.
Initially, Su Jiyai had decided to keep the price the same.
However, their constant suspicion, and disagreement, displeased her.
She didn’t raise the price to 30,000 federal coins, because there were many citizens of the Rover Base, who had not questioned her and complied with her condition.
Su Jiyai simply shrugged.
“I’m not here to rip people off, Leader Ge. The rooms are for them to use. If they want comfort, they should be able to afford it.”
Ge Chunli smiled, grateful. “Thank you, Boss Su. I’ll inform the citizens right away.”
He left her quarters after knowing the specific way to rent the place and returned to the eager crowd. As soon as he told them the rent fees, the citizens erupted in cheers.
“Only 10,000 coins? That’s so cheap!” one of them shouted.
“And for a room like that? It’s unbelievable!” another said, grinning from ear to ear.
They couldn’t believe their luck. With so many facilities—clean rooms, beds, showers, kitchens—it felt like a dream come true.
“Boss Su is really amazing,” one woman said, her voice filled with admiration.
“She’s giving us the chance to live in comfort, and she’s not charging us an arm and a leg for it.”
“She’s looking out for all of us,” another man agreed. “I can’t wait to move in.”
“So how can we rent the place?” The woman asked.
The crowd of citizens buzzed with excitement after hearing Ge Chunli’s explanation.
“That’s it? Just walk in, say we want to rent, and drop some zombie crystals on the desk?” one man asked, wide-eyed.
“Yeah, that’s it!” Ge Chunli replied, nodding.
“The system will automatically register you, and you’ll be assigned a room. Just make sure you have enough crystals or coins ready.”
The crowd looked at each other, some of them already pulling out small pouches filled with zombie crystals.
“I have ten crystals right here!” a woman said, holding up a pouch triumphantly.
“Me too! I’ve been saving these for ages,” another person chimed in.

Without wasting any more time, the citizens rushed toward the building, eager to secure their new homes.
They crowded into the building’s entrance, where a sleek, futuristic reception desk sat.
“Let’s do this!” the woman with the pouch grinned as she walked up to the desk.
She placed her ten zombie crystals on the surface and confidently said,
“I want to rent a room!”
The system beeped, and a smooth, robotic voice responded,
“Transaction complete. Room 02 has been assigned to you.”
The woman jumped up in excitement.
“Room 02! Yes! I got a room!” She hurried off to find her new home, beaming with joy. She also got a card.
Seeing her success, the others followed her lead, placing their zombie crystals or coins on the desk and eagerly announcing their intentions to rent.
“I want a room too!” one man declared, slapping down his coins.
The system processed his payment, and soon enough, he had his own room.
One by one, the citizens secured their spots, each of them grinning from ear to ear as they hurried off to explore their new, luxurious rooms.
As more people rented their rooms, the excitement in the air only grew.
The citizens couldn’t stop talking about how lucky they were to have such an opportunity.
After all, the world outside Rover Base was harsh, and the thought of living in comfort seemed like a distant dream until now.
“Can you believe it?” a man said to his friend as they walked toward their rooms.
“Showers, beds, even air conditioning! I never thought I’d see the day.”
In no time, the building started filling up with tenants.
The hallways echoed with excited chatter as the citizens explored every corner of their new homes.
“This kitchen is amazing!” one woman exclaimed, running her hands over the countertop.
“I can actually cook real meals here instead of scrounging up whatever I can find.”
“And look at this bed!” another citizen said, flopping down on the soft mattress.
“No more sleeping on the floor for me!”
Everyone was in awe of how clean and modern the rooms were.
The lights worked perfectly, the air was fresh, and the whole place felt like a paradise compared to the harsh life they’d been living before.
As more citizens settled into their new homes, some of them noticed something else: a small shop near the building entrance, labeled
“Honey Shop.” Curious, a few of them wandered inside, eager to see what it had to offer.
Inside, the shelves were stocked with rows of beautifully packaged honey jars. The price tag on each jar caught their attention immediately—5000 points per bottle.
“5000 points for a jar of honey?” one man said, squinting at the price tag in disbelief. “That is so cheap!”
“Exactly!”
With a smile, he placed 5 level-1 zombie crystals on the table and said.
“One jar of honey, please.”
One of the honey jars on the shelf suddenly vanished and got teleported to the table.
The citizens were amazed by the automatic purchase function of the store, but they soon shifted their focus to the honey jar.
They wanted to know what benefit it had.
As soon as the man paid for the jar, he hurried to open it.
“Let’s see what all the fuss is about,” he muttered, dipping a spoon into the golden honey.
