Chapter 341: Chapter 341: Foolish People
As the sun set over Rover Base, the first group of schemers made their way toward Su Jiyai’s residence.
They were confident, sure that their plan to trick the “old lady” would succeed.
They had rehearsed their pitiful acts, ready to manipulate her into giving them more than they deserved.
The leader, the older man with the graying hair, knocked on Su Jiyai’s door, his face carefully arranged into an expression of helplessness.
Moments later, the door opened, and Su Jiyai, still wearing her veil, stood in the doorway, her gaze calm and unreadable.
“Boss Su,” the old man said in a shaky voice, putting on his best performance,
“I—I don’t know how to say this, but… my body, it’s giving out. I’m too old to keep up with the younger ones. My legs, ache, and I can’t even move properly anymore.”
The others behind him nodded in agreement, each of them sporting fake looks of misery.
“We’ve worked hard all our lives,” a woman added, her voice quivering.
“But now… we’re just too weak to continue. We need help, Boss Su. Just a little more support from you, maybe a better place to stay, or some extra resources… we’d be so grateful.”
Su Jiyai didn’t say a word for a moment, simply watching them through the veil.
The group shuffled nervously under her gaze, waiting for her response.
Then, to their surprise, she smiled—a small, knowing smile that sent a chill down their spines.
“You say you’re too old to work,” Su Jiyai said softly, her voice smooth but with a hint of coldness.
“But your hearts… they seem to be working just fine. So full of greed.”
The old man blinked in confusion. “W-What do you mean, Boss Su?”
Su Jiyai took a step forward, her presence suddenly more intimidating.
“Do you think I can’t see through your lies? You come to me, pretending to be weak, hoping I’ll fall for your act. But you’ve underestimated me.”
The group exchanged nervous glances, the fake helplessness slipping from their faces.
Su Jiyai waved her hand, and the door behind her slammed shut with a loud thud.
The sound echoed ominously in the quiet night.
“I’ve lived through more than you can imagine,” she continued, her voice growing sharper.
“And I know exactly what kind of people you are. Greed has a way of making fools of even the cleverest.”
The old man gulped, taking a step back, realizing that their plan had failed.
Su Jiyai raised her hand, and suddenly, a surge of energy flowed through the air, surrounding the group.
They gasped, their bodies feeling heavy as if invisible chains had wrapped around them.
This was of course done by the system on Su Jiyai’s command.
“You think you can fool me because you see an old woman. But this ‘old woman’ is not as weak as you believe,” Su Jiyai said, her eyes glowing beneath the veil.
“I’ll give you a chance,” she added, her voice dropping to a dangerous whisper.

“Leave now, and never try this again. If I catch you scheming against me a second time… you won’t be so lucky.”
The group didn’t need to be told twice.
They scrambled to their feet and bolted from the house, fear coursing through their veins.
Once they were gone, Su Jiyai sighed and shook her head.
“People never learn,” she muttered under her breath, returning inside.
…………….
Later that night, the second group of handsome men gathered outside Su Jiyai’s residence. They were confident, their heads filled with fantasies of wealth and power. Their plan was simple: charm the “old lady,” become her lover, and inherit her riches.
The leader of the group, the man with sharp features, smoothed his hair back and knocked on the door.
When Su Jiyai answered, her veil hiding her face as usual, the man put on his most charming smile.
“Good evening, Boss Su,” he said smoothly, his voice dripping with false charm. “I was just passing by and thought… well, someone like you, with so much responsibility, must get lonely sometimes.”
Su Jiyai raised an eyebrow beneath her veil but didn’t respond, letting him continue.
The man took her silence as encouragement and stepped closer, his smile widening.
“I know it must be difficult, running such a huge base all on your own. Someone like you deserves… companionship,” he said, his voice soft and suggestive.
The other men behind him snickered quietly, nudging each other.
Su Jiyai didn’t react at first, her gaze steady on the man.
He mistook her calm for interest and took another step closer, lowering his voice to a whisper.
“Let me be that someone for you, Boss Su. I can take care of you. Together, we could—”
Before he could finish his sentence, Su Jiyai raised her hand, and with a single flick of her wrist, the man was sent flying backward, landing in a heap several feet away.
The other men’s eyes widened in shock.
Su Jiyai stepped forward, her tone sharp and cold. “Do you think I’m so easily swayed by pretty words and empty promises?”
The men stumbled backward, fear creeping into their hearts.
“I am Boss Su,” she said, her voice echoing through the night.
“I built this base with my own hands, and I control everything that happens here. Do you think you can charm your way into my trust? Foolish.”
The leader of the group groaned, trying to stand up, but Su Jiyai waved her hand again, and an invisible force pinned him to the ground.
“I have no need for empty flattery or false affection,” she said, her voice laced with disdain.
“If you want to survive in this world, you’ll need more than just a pretty face.”
The men, trembling with fear, didn’t know what to do.
Su Jiyai stared at them for a moment longer before releasing the leader from her hold.
“Leave. And don’t ever try to approach me with such pathetic intentions again,” she commanded.
The men didn’t hesitate.
They ran off, terrified and humiliated.
As she turned to go back inside, she couldn’t help but chuckle softly to herself.
“People really think they can fool me,” she muttered. “How amusing.”
