Chapter 348: Chapter 348: Destroying
“Okay, that was unreal,” Kaito said, running his hand through his hair. “I feel like all my stress just melted away.”
Lina nodded in agreement.
“I take back what I said. This is probably the best thing I’ve ever experienced.”
Gregor crossed his arms with a smug look on his face.
“Told you, kids. The old man knows what’s good.”
Soon, word spread like wildfire through the base.
People lined up, ready to swipe their cards and buy subscriptions.
The spa had gone from being seen as wasteful to the most popular place in the base.
As Su Jiyai walked around later in the day, she noticed the large crowd gathering near the spa and smiled to herself.
“Looks like the investment’s already paying off,” she muttered, feeling pretty proud.
Back in the Hope base, the same phenomenon occurred.
To Su Jiyai’s astonishment, the first-day sales of the spa reached 100 million points.
Su Jiyai was tempted to build more spas, but she understood that it wouldn’t increase the profit.
After all, the number of people who want to buy spa subscriptions will eventually reduce and for the next 1 year, there will be hardly anyone who will buy the subscription.
Instead, she focused on her cultivation and workout.
First, she did 1 hour long strength training, followed by 1 hour of combat training. Then she took a shower and started to absorb crystals.
She was now considering absorbing the 5th piece of red crystal.
Just then there was a knock on her door, followed by Ge Chunli’s voice,
“Boss Su, I have brought a poison master.”
Su Jiyai instantly put on the veil and changed her appearance to that of an old woman. She then opened the door.
“Boss Su, this is the poison superhuman I mentioned,” Ge Chunli said, nodding respectfully.
“His name’s Chen Hao. He’s one of the best poison element users I’ve come across.”
Su Jiyai gave a slight nod. “Good. You can leave now, Chunli.”
Ge Chunli bowed slightly, gave Chen Hao a quick look, and then left the room, closing the door behind him.
Chen Hao stood there, looking a bit nervous but curious.
He had heard about Boss Su before, but meeting her in person, made him feel a bit on edge.
“So, you’re a poison superhuman?” Su Jiyai asked, her voice low and calm.
“Yes, ma’am,” Chen Hao said quickly, trying to stand tall. “I’m at level 6 in my poison ability.”
Su Jiyai gave a slow nod, then internally asked her system,

“System, is level 6 enough for the job I need him to do?”
[Yes, Host. His level should be sufficient for what you have planned. As long as he cooperates, everything will work out.]
Satisfied with the answer, Su Jiyai turned her attention back to Chen Hao.
“I have a task for you,” she said slowly. “It’s simple, but it requires your poison abilities.”
Chen Hao blinked, his interest piqued. “What do you need me to do, Boss Su?”
Su Jiyai took a step closer, her eyes narrowing slightly behind the veil.
“I need you to come with me to a place. There, you will help me burn some circular dishes. Use your poison on them, and I will use my fire ability at the same time.
As long as you do this for me, I’ll let you rent a room in the base for free for the next two years.”
Chen Hao’s eyes widened in surprise.
“Two years? For free?” He couldn’t believe what he was hearing.
Housing in the base was not cheap, and being able to live rent-free for two years was a huge deal.
“I’ll do it! I’ll do whatever you need, Boss Su!”
Su Jiyai smirked behind her veil. “Good.”
Chen Hao couldn’t stop himself from praising Su Jiyai in his heart.
‘Boss Su is so generous!’ he thought. ‘Two years of free rent! This is amazing!’
“Now wear this.” Su Jiyai handed Chen Hao the sun-proof cloak.
Chen Hao wore and instantly felt a slight coolness.
Without another word, Su Jiyai reached out and grabbed Chen Hao’s hand.
He tensed up for a moment but then felt a strange sensation as the world around him started to blur.
Before he knew it, they had teleported to a new location.
They were now standing in what looked like a deserted area.
The ground was cracked and dry, and there were no signs of life. The air was heavy with a strange, eerie silence.
Chen Hao looked around, confused. “Where are we?”
“This is the Hua Tribe,” Su Jiyai said, her voice calm.
“Or at least, what’s left of it. A zombie tide hit this place a while ago. No humans left. Only zombies now.”
Chen Hao shivered slightly.
The thought of being surrounded by zombies made his skin crawl, but he kept quiet, trusting that Boss Su knew what she was doing.
Su Jiyai led him forward through the desolate landscape.
After a few minutes of walking, they reached the spot where the circular dish was.
It was large, strange-looking metal disks, lying on the ground in a perfect circle.
“This is the dish,” Su Jiyai said, pointing at them. “We need to destroy them.”
Chen Hao tilted his head, looking at the disks curiously. “Why do we need to destroy them?”
“That’s not important,” Su Jiyai replied, her tone firm. “Just do as I say.”
Chen Hao nodded quickly. “Of course, Boss Su. Whatever you say.”
Su Jiyai stepped back a bit, giving him space. “Use your poison on the disks,” she instructed.
“I’ll use my fire element at the same time. We need to melt them down completely.”
Chen Hao took a deep breath and focused.
He stretched out his hand, and a dark green liquid started forming at his fingertips.
Slowly, the poison began to drip from his hand and onto the metal disks.
The moment the poison touched the surface, the metal began to sizzle, small wisps of smoke rising from it.
At the same time, Su Jiyai raised her hand, and a bright, intense flame appeared in her palm.
She directed the fire at the disks, letting it mix with the poison.
The combined effect was powerful—the metal began to melt, slowly at first, but then faster as the heat and poison worked together.
Chen Hao watched in awe as the metal started to bubble and warp under the combined power of their elements.
“Whoa… it’s working,” he muttered under his breath.
Su Jiyai kept her focus on the task, her flames growing hotter and more intense.
The metal disks were tough, but they couldn’t withstand the power of both poison and fire for long.
After several minutes of continuous effort, the first layer of the disk began to collapse in on itself, melting into a pool of molten metal.
Chen Hao grinned. “We did it! One down!”
Su Jiyai nodded but didn’t say anything. She moved on to the next layer of the disk, signaling for Chen Hao to do the same.
They repeated the process with the remaining layers of the disks, each one melting away under the combined force of their abilities.
It took time and effort, but eventually, all the layers were nothing more than puddles of liquid metal.
Chen Hao wiped the sweat from his forehead, breathing heavily.
“That was… intense,” he said, panting. “But we did it.”
Su Jiyai lowered her hand, her fire flickering out.
“Good job,” she said simply. “You’ve fulfilled your part of the deal.”
Chen Hao’s face lit up. “So, the free room?”
“You’ll get it,” Su Jiyai said, turning away from the melted metal. “Now, let’s go back.”
She grabbed his hand once more, and in a blink, they were back at the base.
Once in the base, Su Jiyai called Ge Chunli and asked him to make a contract lease for Chen Hao.
Chen Hao was brimming with excitement.
Originally, he would have to wait for more than 10 days before he could rent a room.
But due to his superpower, now he could get a room! Not to mention it was for the next 2 years!
When the contract was being made, he was even asked what he preferred. Without hesitation, he chose the double-bedroom apartment.
He only had a wife and daughter, and it was quite difficult for him to survive. After Boss Su’s arrival, he lost the house he was renting, but the news that the rent was less for future houses, made him relieved.
But even that would require a lot of time.
God truly favors him though, he can now be free for 2 years!
After the contract was signed, Su Jiyai didn’t waste any time and went back to the Hua tribe.
The temperature around the base had significantly reduced. The scorching heat vanished.
She teleported to different locations, to test, till where the temperature had turned normal.
“Hm…this Hua tribe has the land equivalent to a District. Not too big not too small.” Su Jiyai muttered.
