Chapter 350: Chapter 350: Spring Water
Three days had passed.
The air inside the ruined tower was cold and stale.
The wind howled outside, carrying the scent of decay and dried blood.
Inside, Narak sat motionless on his throne of jagged bones, his glowing red eyes shut as he cultivated.
The veins on his pale skin pulsed with dark energy, and the aura around him twisted like black smoke.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the broken metal door.
The sound echoed through the silent hall.
A moment later, the door creaked open, revealing the same zombie subordinate from before.
He stepped inside carefully, his head bowed low.
“My King,” the zombie said in a cautious voice.
Narak did not open his eyes. “Speak.”
The subordinate hesitated for a moment before continuing.
“There has been a change at Rover Base.”
Narak’s eyes remained closed, but his fingers tapped lightly against the armrest of his throne. “What change?”
The zombie gulped before answering. “The invisible barrier… it is gone.”
Narak’s eyes slowly opened, glowing like burning embers in the darkness. “Gone?” His voice was low and sharp.
“Yes, my King. The barrier that was stopping the zombies from entering has disappeared.”
A slow smile spread across Narak’s lips. “Then why are you here and not leading an attack?”
The subordinate tensed. He lowered his head even further.
“Because my King… something else has appeared in its place.”
Narak’s smile vanished. His eyes darkened. “Explain.”
The zombie hesitated, choosing his words carefully.
“A wall. A new metallic blue wall has risen around Rover Base. It is tall, strong… and dangerous.”
Narak leaned forward, his red eyes gleaming. “Dangerous?”
The subordinate nodded.
“Yes, my King. When our forces tried to approach, they were electrocuted the moment they touched it. The energy surged through them, burning their bodies, leaving them smoking on the ground.”
Narak’s fingers curled around the armrest of his throne.
His voice was colder than ice.
“A wall that kills zombies on contact… how interesting.”

The zombie shifted uncomfortably.
“My King… none of the humans have left the base. They are still inside, and they do not seem desperate or starving.”
At this, Narak’s gaze darkened further. He sat back in silence, his mind racing.
This was not what he had expected.
The humans were supposed to panic, to run out when their food ran low. Instead, they had built a wall—a deadly one.
After a long silence, Narak exhaled slowly.
“Boss Su…” he murmured, his voice laced with curiosity. “She is more troublesome than I thought.”
The subordinate nodded cautiously.
“What are your orders, my King?”
Narak didn’t answer immediately. He stared ahead, deep in thought.
Then, his lips curled into a cruel smile.
“Tell the zombies to stay where they are. Do not attack the wall. Let the humans think we have given up.”
The subordinate blinked in surprise. “We… we won’t attack?”
Narak’s smile widened.
“Not yet. We will wait. Watch. Boss Su may have built a wall, but nothing lasts forever. A wall like that… must require power. And power runs out.”
The zombie’s eyes flickered with understanding. “You believe the wall will weaken?”
Narak chuckled darkly.
“Everything weakens in time. The moment that wall loses its strength… that is when we strike.”
The subordinate nodded. “I will deliver your orders, my King.”
He turned to leave but paused. “What if Boss Su finds a way to keep the wall powered?”
Narak’s glowing red eyes narrowed. “Then I will handle it myself.”
The room fell silent as the zombie left. Narak leaned back, closing his eyes once more.
The game had just begun.
…………….
The next day.
Su Jiyai finished reforming the 3rd area and went to Hua tribe to clear out the area again.
After fighting for more than 5 hours, she returned to the Hope Base and checked on Yuan Xin.
She couldn’t help but feel a bit concerned when she realized that Yuan Xin’s fever wasn’t going down.
“System is there anything that can help?”
[Host, you can give him spring water. It will alleviate his fever and increase his chances of awakening the superpower.]
“Alright, give me one bottle of spring water.” Su Jiyai ordered.
She didn’t know such an amazing thing existed. Though less great than a superpower awakening potion, it still has some potential.
[Host, you will become bankrupt. 1 bottle of spring water costs 10 billion points.]
Su Jiyai blinked in surprise when she heard the system’s response. “Wait, did you say 10 billion points for a bottle of water?”
[Yes, Host. It’s very expensive because it has powerful healing properties and can help people awaken their superpowers.]
Su Jiyai groaned. “That’s insane. I’m not spending 10 billion points on water!”
That’s daylight robbery.
If the system hadn’t clarified that it was spring water, she would have thought it was immortality water.
10 billion points for a single bottle of water…is ridiculous.
[But Host, if Yuan Xin awakens his superpower, he could be a great help to you in the future. It’s an investment.]
Su Jiyai sat down, her head in her hands. “I get that, but 10 billion points… I don’t have that kind of money right now.”
[You can always earn more points by completing missions and selling items. It’s not impossible.]
Su Jiyai sighed. “Fine, fine. Let me think about it.”
She looked over at Yuan Xin, who was still lying in bed, his face pale and sweaty. He looked like he was in a lot of pain, and Su Jiyai felt a pang of guilt.
She didn’t want to let him suffer, but 10 billion points for water still felt ridiculous.
“System, do I have any other options? Maybe something… less expensive?”
[Host, there is a more affordable option,] the system chimed in after a moment. [You can buy a small bowl of spring water instead of a whole bottle.]
Su Jiyai perked up at the suggestion. “Oh? How much is the small bowl?”
[It’s only 500 million points,] the system replied casually.
Su Jiyai almost choked. “500 million?! For just a small bowl?”
[Yes, Host. It’s still spring water, just a smaller portion. It will help Yuan Xin, though it might not be as effective as the full bottle.]
Su Jiyai rubbed her temples in frustration. “This better be some miracle water for that price.”
[It is!] the system said enthusiastically. [It could still boost Yuan Xin’s recovery and maybe help him awaken his superpower.]
Su Jiyai stared at Yuan Xin, who looked like he could use all the help he could get. She let out a sigh, feeling her points slipping away.
“Alright, fine. Give me the small bowl.”
[One small bowl of spring water, coming right up!] the system chirped.
A moment later, a delicate-looking bowl filled with shimmering water appeared in Su Jiyai’s hands.
The water had a faint glow, and even though it was just a small bowl, Su Jiyai could feel the powerful energy radiating from it.
“Alright, this better work,” she muttered under her breath.
She called Huo Ning and asked her to bring Yuan Xin into the conference room and lay him on the conference table.
Huo Ning agreed and with Jake’s help, she easily completed the task.
Su Jiyai asked everyone to leave and teleported to the conference room.
She knelt down beside Yuan Xin’s bed and gently lifted his head to help him drink the water.
“Here, Yuan Xin,” Su Jiyai whispered. “Drink this. It’ll make you feel better.”
Yuan Xin groaned weakly but managed to swallow the water.
As soon as the last drop entered his mouth, Su Jiyai could see a visible change.
The feverish redness in his face started to fade, and his breathing became steadier.
The glow from the spring water seemed to pulse through his body, and after a few moments, Yuan Xin’s complexion looked much better.
Su Jiyai let out a sigh of relief. “That’s better.”
[Host, the spring water is already working. His chances of awakening a superpower are now higher!] the system announced.
Su Jiyai nodded, feeling a bit more relaxed.
“Good. But I’m still not happy about spending 500 million points for a tiny bowl of water.”
[Host, think of it as a long-term investment. If Yuan Xin awakens a powerful ability, it could help you in the future!]
“Yeah, yeah, I know.” Su Jiyai rolled her eyes, though she knew the system had a point.
Yuan Xin’s recovery was progressing smoothly, and Su Jiyai couldn’t help but feel hopeful. Maybe this would be the push he needed to awaken a superpower.
“Rest well, Yuan Xin,” Su Jiyai whispered, pulling the blanket over him.
Su Jiyai then teleported back to the control room and got news from the system,
[Host the Su family has arrived.]
“They did?” Su Jiyai’s eyes lit up.
Finally, she could take revenge on those rats hiding in the corner!
“Show me where they are?”
[Sure host. They are currently standing at the gate of the base, waiting for Su Yun]
