Chapter 360: Chapter 360: Alchemist
The acrid taste of bile burned her throat, and cold sweat clung to her skin. Minutes passed before she finally sat back, panting, her limbs trembling with exhaustion. The nightmare still felt too real, too vivid, as if the stench of rotting food still clung to her nostrils.
A quiet knock on the bathroom door pulled her from her thoughts.
A moment later, Fu Wei stepped inside, concern etched onto his face.
He knelt beside her, brushing strands of damp hair from her face.
“What happened?” His voice was gentle, yet firm.
Su Rong took a shaky breath, her stomach still churning.
“Su Yun… she…” Her voice faltered, her tongue thick with revulsion.
“She used spoiled food. Rotten vegetables, moldy rice… And the water—” She gagged again, barely able to continue. “She used the water she washed her feet in.”
Fu Wei’s expression darkened instantly. His jaw clenched, and a flash of disgust crossed his usually composed face.
“Are you sure?”
“It was too real,” Su Rong whispered, shaking her head. “I could smell it. I could taste it.”
Fu Wei sat back, his lips pressing into a thin line. They had not eaten the food, but the thought of what Su Yun had allegedly done sent a wave of revulsion through him.
“That woman is vile,” he muttered, his voice laced with barely contained anger.
“We are never eating anything she gives us again.”
Su Rong nodded, still too weak to stand. “Never.”
“Let’s warn your parents too.” Fu Wei said.
Su Rong nodded.
Meanwhile, Su Jiyai who had watched everything from the morning felt disgust for Su Yun.
Truly…some people are vile.
“Hmm…so Su Rong can see the past through her dreams? That would explain as to how she knew about Su Yun’s whereabouts in the past 10 months.”
A smirk appeared on her face as she said,
“Well then, she is the most dangerous in the entire Su family…this was the least I was expecting from her.”
Su Rong was the type of person who would lurk in shadows and wait for her to lower their guard and then attack.
She returned to the Rover Base and continued her cultivation.
The Su Family’s drama can wait and to ensure that each of them suffers, she has already prepared different surprises for each of them.
After 3 hours, Ge Chunli knocked on the door. Su Jiyai wore her veil, changed into an old woman, and opened the door.
“Yes?”
“Boss Su, I have found an alchemist.”
Su Jiyai’s eyes lit up. “Great bring him in.”

Ge Chunli showed an embarrassed expression and said, “The alchemist has a bad temper so…please bear with him.”
Su Jiyai nodded and motioned him to bring the alchemist.
Ge Chunli walked out, and a few moments later, he came back with a man following behind him.
The man looked like he was in his thirties, with messy hair and an irritated expression.
He didn’t even look at Su Jiyai properly as he stomped inside.
“This better be worth my time!” the alchemist grumbled, crossing his arms.
“I don’t do cheap work, and I don’t like wasting my energy on useless tasks.”
Su Jiyai raised an eyebrow under her veil. She had dealt with difficult people before, but this one seemed extra annoying.
“You’re here because I need a skilled alchemist,” Su Jiyai said calmly, not letting his bad attitude bother her.
“I’ll pay you well for your work, but I expect results.”
The alchemist snorted.
“Results? Of course, I’ll give the results. But if you think I’m going to work with no proper ingredients, you’re mistaken.
Also, I came to know that you are Boss Su. As a payment, I want three apartments to my name and a card that can allow me to spend as much as I want for the next 1 year.”
Su Jiyai’s eyes narrowed under her veil as the alchemist’s demands sank in.
Three apartments? A card with unlimited spending? Who did this man think he was?
“I think you misunderstand the situation,” Su Jiyai said, her voice cold but calm.
“I’m not paying such a high price for your work.”
The alchemist’s face twisted in anger, his messy hair falling into his eyes.
“Petty! You’re nothing but petty and narrow-minded! You call yourself Boss Su, but you don’t even know how to be generous. No wonder people say you’re cheap!”
Su Jiyai’s eyes flashed dangerously, but she didn’t raise her voice.
“Leave,” she said quietly, her tone icy.
But the alchemist didn’t move. Instead, he crossed his arms, glaring at her with a smug expression.
“How much are you willing to pay, then? Do you think I’ll just leave without making a deal? How much do you value my work?”
Su Jiyai’s patience was wearing thin, but she kept her composure.
“You want to know how much I was willing to pay?” she asked softly, her voice steady but with an underlying tension that could snap at any moment.
The alchemist sneered. “Yes. Tell me.”
Su Jiyai stood up slowly, her figure still hidden under the veil.
“I had planned to give you an apartment for your work. That was before your arrogance became clear. But now,” she paused, letting the silence hang in the air,
“I’ve changed my mind. I don’t need someone who can’t even respect the terms of a fair deal. I won’t hire you. Not now, not ever.”
The alchemist’s eyes widened in disbelief, but the shock quickly turned to fury.
“You think you can just throw me away like that?” he spat.
“You’ll never find another alchemist like me! You’ll come crawling back, begging for my help!”
Su Jiyai didn’t flinch. She met his gaze, her expression unreadable behind the veil. “I would rather take my chances with anyone else than work with someone like you.”
The alchemist’s face twisted with rage, his chest heaving. “You’ll regret this!” he yelled, his voice shaking with anger.
“You think you’re so powerful, but you’re just a fool in a mask!”
Su Jiyai’s grip tightened on the table beside her, but she kept her voice steady. “Get. Out.”
The alchemist glared at her for a moment longer, his face red with anger, before he turned on his heel and stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind him.
As the sound of his footsteps faded, the tension in the air remained thick. Su Jiyai stood there for a moment, her fists clenched at her sides.
She took a deep breath, forcing herself to stay calm.
“Such arrogance,” she muttered to herself, her voice low but filled with restrained fury.
“There’s no place for people like him in my plans.”
Ge Chunli, who had been standing outside, peeked in nervously.
“Boss Su… should we find someone else?”
Su Jiyai nodded, her voice steady once more.
“Yes. And make sure the next one knows their place.”
Then suddenly Ge Chunli thought of something and said,
“Boss Su, we have found a circular metallic disk like you have asked us to.”
Su Jiyai’s eyes brightened,
“Good, lead me to that place and call Chen Hao over too.”
Ge Chunli nodded and soon he led her to the place.
Su Jiyai asked him to evacuate the place and soon Chen Hao arrived.
“Just like the previous time, pour the poison on a circular metallic disk.”
With that, she accumulated the fire and nodded at Chen Hao who started to pour poison on the disk.
As the first few drops touched the surface, a sizzling sound echoed through the space. Green smoke started rising, swirling in the air.
The disk, once cool and metallic, began to heat up, turning darker as the poison spread across it.
At the same time, Su Jiyai poured the fire simultaneously.
Layer by layer all the disk was destroyed under the simultaneous assault of fire and poison.
Finally, when the disk broke, the extreme heat enveloping the base, slowly reduced.
The people in the base didn’t realize this change due to the invisible 360-degree barrier protecting the temperature.
However, the zombies outside clearly felt the changes.
Su Jiyai asked Chen Hao to leave, before returning to her own room.
Rover Base was now her property. She plans to slowly expand the base and build her own business empire. In this way, even when the system abandons her, she would have passive money.
But to protect such fortune she needs her own team.
Thank god, she had already built one in the Hope Base.
“System, will the buildings in the Hope Base be demolished once you return?”
[Host you will be given a reward for completing all the missions. So please don’t worry.]
Su Jiyai rolled her eyes at the cryptic words.
She then asked the system to teleport her to the Hua tribe, where she continued to kill zombies.
Finally, she was able to clear all the zombies in the Hua tribe. The metallic blue walls were also made by now.
Su Jiyai asked the system to conduct a mandatory check to know if there were any zombies left and heard the system’s exclaim suddenly.
