Chapter 362: Chapter 362: Cleaning
A soft glow appeared in front of her, and soon, 20 plant zombie crystals materialized, floating in the air before settling down at her feet.
Su Jiyai bent down and picked up the first crystal.
It shimmered in her hand, the green hue glowing faintly. She focused her energy, preparing to absorb it like she always did with other crystals.
But something was wrong.
The crystal didn’t dissolve in her hand like it was supposed to.
Instead, it stayed solid, refusing to absorb into her body. Su Jiyai frowned, her heart sinking.
She tried again, concentrating harder this time. But the crystal still didn’t react.
“What’s going on?” she asked aloud, feeling frustrated.
This had never happened before. Usually, she could absorb crystals without any issues.
The system remained silent. Even it was baffled by the scene.
“Did I even awaken a plant superpower?” Su Jiyai muttered with a confused expression.
The system turned silent again.
Su Jiyai sighed. She decided to experiment on her powers some other day.
She then returned to the Hua Tribe and stared at the uneven land, some abandon houses, some crushed houses as well as scattered pieces of bricks and cement.
Dirty.
It was too dirty.
“System, how much will it cost to clean the entire land?” Su Jiyai asked.
[Host, just 1000 points.]
Su Jiyai’s eyes brightened.
Just 1000 points?
How cheap!
Before she can rejoice though, she hears the system say,
[1000 points per square meter.]
“And how long this area is?” Su Jiyai asked, an ominous feeling rising in her heart.
[Around 105,000 square meters] The system announced.
“You mean you are going to charge me 100 million points just to clean up?”
[Host If you include the land flattening service as well as the soil changing service, you can complete all the construction under 1 billion points. This is a special discount.]
Su Jiyai’s jaw dropped. “One billion points? Are you serious?”
[Host, it’s a special discount,] the system repeated as if trying to make her feel better.

“Special discount, my foot!” she grumbled. “Who in their right mind would spend one billion points just to clean some dirty land?”
Su Jiyai huffed, crossing her arms.
She looked around again at the mess in front of her—broken houses, dirt everywhere, and rubble scattered around as a hurricane hit.
“Forget it,” she muttered. “I’m not wasting that many points on this.”
[Host, you could always try manual labor,] the system suggested, almost cheekily.
Su Jiyai gave it an exasperated look.
Instead of a suggestion, it was more like a warning about her current predicament.
If she uses manual labor the points may rise even more!
“Fine. Deduct 1 billion points from my account.” Su Jiyai gritted her teeth.
Her heart was aching. With a lot of difficulty, she was able to save up to 2 billion points. Now all of it was gone!
The system beeped, confirming the deduction. [1 billion points have been deducted. The cleaning process will begin immediately, Host.]
“I better see this place sparkling clean,” she muttered angrily.
Suddenly, the ground rumbled, and the air around her shimmered. Su Jiyai stepped back as the broken houses, rubble, and dirt slowly started to disappear like some invisible force was sweeping everything away. The land flattened itself, and the debris dissolved into nothingness.
It was impressive, sure, but Su Jiyai still felt bitter. “This better be worth it,” she grumbled.
After a few minutes, the rumbling stopped.
The land before her was now perfectly flat and clean, not a single piece of rubble or dirt in sight. It looked like a brand-new area, ready to be built on.
[Host, the cleaning and flattening process is complete,] the system reported [Would you like to proceed with soil changing service?]
“Yes go ahead.” Su Jiyai grunted.
The system beeped again. [Soil changing service initiated, Host. This will take a few minutes.]
Su Jiyai crossed her arms, tapping her foot impatiently. “It better not cost extra,” she muttered under her breath.
The ground started to shift once more, the soil glowing a soft green as it transformed.
The old, worn-out dirt was replaced with rich, fertile soil. Su Jiyai watched as the entire area turned from a dull, rocky landscape into fresh, dark earth.
It looked like the perfect place to grow crops—or maybe even build a village.
“Wow, that’s actually pretty nice,” Su Jiyai admitted, though she still felt a bit sour about the points she had spent.
[The soil change has been completed, Host. The land is now fertile and ready for use. Its load-bearing capacity has also been increased.]
“Good.” Su Jiyai muttered. “Now I can start the construction.”
She opened the system panel and started to build a building, weapon shop, honey shop, gym, and spa.
[Construction initiated. The buildings will be completed in two days, Host.]
Su Jiyai stretched her arms and yawned.
“Guess I’ll have to wait then.”
She looked around at the now-clean and flat land. It was kind of exciting, thinking about how this place would look once all the buildings were up.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a sudden loud roar in the distance.
Su Jiyai’s eyes narrowed as she turned her head toward the source of the sound. “What now?”
[Host, a hoard of zombies are coming in this direction.]
Su Jiyai wasn’t in a hurry. She simply asked,
“Is the 360-degree barrier has been installed?”
[Yes host.]
“What about the electric metallic wall?”
[Already activated, host.]
Su Jiyai nodded. She calmly asked,
“Teleport me to the edge.”
[Yes host.]
In a blink, Su Jiyai was teleported to the edge of the barrier. She stood there, staring at the approaching horde of zombies.
There were hundreds of them, stumbling and growling, their eyes glowing with a creepy, lifeless light.
The zombies didn’t even have a chance to react before they were hit.
Sparks flew, and the zombies started to convulse as the electric currents surged through them.
One by one, they fell to the ground, smoking and twitching.
