Chapter 368: Chapter 368: Proof
He tilted his head slightly, pretending to be confused.
“How do you know such intimate details? As far as I recall, no one else knew about my specific abilities, let alone about me personally.”
The suddenness of his question hit Su Jiyai like a bolt of lightning.
She stiffened, her eyes widening for just a fraction of a second before she quickly composed herself. Panic surged within her, but she couldn’t afford to let it show.
How had she let that slip? She had been too wrapped up in her anger to realize her mistake.
In a moment of desperation, Su Jiyai scrambled for an explanation, her mind racing. She had to act fast, or everything would unravel.
“It… it was the blue wolf cub,” she said quickly, her voice steady but her mind still reeling.
“The cub… Su Jiyai. She told me everything. She knew you well, and she confided in me. That’s how I know about Qin Feng’s powers and his history.”
There was a brief silence. Qin Feng, though outwardly appearing thoughtful, felt a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.
Inwardly, he was pleased.
She had taken the bait, albeit clumsily.
Her panic was palpable, even through the speaker system.
She was trying to cover her tracks, to make sense of a story that didn’t quite add up. But he didn’t press further—not yet.
He allowed a small, measured nod as if the explanation made sense to him.
“Ah, I see,” he said, his tone neutral. “The blue wolf cub… I suppose that would explain it.”
Su Jiyai let out a small, inaudible breath of relief.
“Then?” She asked tentatively.
“Then the people of the institute realized I have a superpower and they injected a suppressant in me. Hence I couldn’t escape no matter what.
Slowly they realized I was gaining more and more superpowers so they started to inject heavy suppressants into me. I, however, made some plans and escaped the institute successfully. That was when I met you and you saved me.”
Su Jiyai’s breathing hitched.
So all this while she was loving the same person?
Her heart leaped with joy and she almost wanted to rush toward the other side and hug Lin Hao aka Qin Feng.
However, she restrained herself.
She still needed to confirm certain things and couldn’t trust Lin Hao’s words. What if he was pretending to be Qin Feng?
“Hmm…the wolf cub…she is asking if you can share some story or something that only she and Qin Feng know.” Su Jiyai pretended.
“Hm? There are many, I just want to ask Su Jiyai if she is okay with you knowing our private details.” Qin Feng had a serious expression on his face, but a teasing glint was visible in his eyes.
Su Jiyai gulped before agreeing,
“Yes, she is okay.”
“Alright then.” Qin Feng looked as if he had already made a decision.
“Our first meeting was in the training ground. She fell in love with at first sight. I fell for her because she saved my life by donating her blood. However, what attracted me the most was her way of thinking and her care for me.

I started to find ways to stay by her side and despicably used my position as her trainer to spend more time with her. The most hilarious thing was, I loved her, but I was afraid that my parents and others would create difficulty for her.
So I waited. Instead of proposing to her directly, I indirectly confessed my love for her every day. I tried my best to fulfill each of her wishes.
She wanted a home of her own, she wanted to find her parents, and she made my goal her living purpose. She was my little ancestor. ”
Su Jiyai’s eyes moistened. She blinked to prevent herself from crying. A smile appeared on her face.
Those memories were…bittersweet.
“She was the most courageous woman I have ever met, Boss Su. Because while I was hesitating, she wrote a love letter to me. She confessed her love to me. I was over the moon. For once, I wanted to forget everything and pull her into my arms and say…”
“Say what?” Su Jiyai asked anxiously.
“…and say that I loved her more than anything in the world. But I didn’t.” Qin Feng’s voice softened, the weight of regret lacing his words.
“I was too afraid. Afraid of what my family might do, of the dangers that came with being with me. So instead, I kept it all inside, thinking that I was protecting her by keeping my distance.”
Su Jiyai’s heart clenched.
“In fact, I had overtaken a dangerous mission, just to gain enough power and be free from my parent’s control. So that I can marry the woman of my dreams. I went on that mission with the love letter in my hand, thinking I would reply to it after I returned.
I also asked my beloved little ancestor to wait for me and I will reply to her.” Qin Feng smiled. His smile was laced with bitterness.
“But when I returned and gained all the honors and rushed to give her an answer…she was gone.” A hint of loneliness appeared in Qin Feng’s eyes.
Su Jiyai’s heart raced as she listened to Qin Feng’s words. Her emotions were a jumble of sadness, regret, and hope.
“Gone?” she repeated softly, barely able to keep her voice steady. “What do you mean… gone?”
Qin Feng sighed, his expression darkening.
“She left. No one knew where she went, and I had no idea how to find her,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
“I searched everywhere, but it was like she had vanished. I never got the chance to tell her how I really felt.”
Su Jiyai bit her lip, trying to hold back her tears.
“So you searched for her and found her body?” Su Jiyai tried to sound casual.
Qin Feng chuckled.
Was it really that simple?
