“But now’s not the time to worry about me. We need to find out if Su Jiyai can be saved.”

The researchers were called in to examine Su Jiyai’s body.

At first, they looked at the charred corpse and sighed, shaking their heads.

One of them even patted Qin Feng’s back in sympathy, as if to say,

“She’s gone for good.”

“I’ve never seen anything like this before,” he admitted. “Her body is in terrible shape, but somehow… she’s still alive. Barely.”

Qin Feng gritted his teeth.

“I don’t care what it takes. Use whatever resources you need. Just bring her back.”

The researchers nodded, quickly gathering their tools and running tests.

They worked around the clock, trying everything they could to stabilize Su Jiyai’s condition.

Days passed, and the faint heartbeat never went away, but Su Jiyai didn’t wake up either.

Qin Feng stayed by her side, his heart heavy with a mix of hope and dread.

One evening, George came to him with some news.
