Chapter 378: Chapter 378: Revenge -1
So, Qin Feng did the only thing he could—he absorbed the power of an acidic superhuman, gaining 95% resistance to acid.
Even with his newfound resistance, the water was dangerous.
No one wanted to risk it.
But Qin Feng had no choice. He dove into the lake himself, determined to find Su Jiyai.
The water burned against his skin, the 5% of acid that still affected him causing immense pain.
But Qin Feng pushed through, swimming deeper and deeper into the murky depths. His body screamed in agony, but he didn’t stop. He couldn’t stop.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Qin Feng saw her.
A charred body, lying at the bottom of the lake.
His heart raced as he swam toward it, carefully lifting the body into his arms.
It was Su Jiyai—he was sure of it.
“Maybe she awakened an acidic superpower too,” Qin Feng thought, his mind racing.
“That’s why her body didn’t dissolve…”
But even as he brought her back to the surface, the pain from the acid was becoming too much. His vision blurred, and he nearly lost consciousness.
By the time he reached the shore, he was barely holding on to life.
But he had found her. He had found Su Jiyai. And now, his revenge could truly begin.
Qin Feng was still trying to process everything.
One second, he was dragging Su Jiyai’s charred body out of the lake, and the next, he had been teleported into someone else’s body.
When he finally returned to his own body, an entire day had passed.
He looked around, confused and weak.
His subordinates were standing around him, some with tears in their eyes, others looking solemn.
They had been preparing for his funeral.
Qin Feng sighed.
“You thought I was dead, huh?” he muttered, his voice hoarse.
Everyone froze, their eyes widening in shock. “B-boss?” George stammered, stepping forward.
“You’re… alive?”
Qin Feng nodded, still feeling strange.
“Yeah. Apparently, I wasn’t breathing for a whole day,” he said, glancing at Su Jiyai’s body, which he had brought back.
“But now’s not the time to worry about me. We need to find out if Su Jiyai can be saved.”
The researchers were called in to examine Su Jiyai’s body.
At first, they looked at the charred corpse and sighed, shaking their heads.

One of them even patted Qin Feng’s back in sympathy, as if to say,
“She’s gone for good.”
But Qin Feng wasn’t convinced.
He insisted they connect her to the machines, and after some hesitation, they did.
What happened next shocked everyone.
As soon as they hooked up the Holter machine to her, it beeped.
Faint, very faint, but there was a heartbeat.
The room went silent. The researchers were speechless, their eyes glued to the machine.
“She’s… she’s alive,” one of them whispered in disbelief.
Qin Feng felt a flicker of hope.
“Is there any way to bring her back fully? Is there something we can do?”
The lead researcher scratched his head, clearly confused.
“I’ve never seen anything like this before,” he admitted. “Her body is in terrible shape, but somehow… she’s still alive. Barely.”
Qin Feng gritted his teeth.
“I don’t care what it takes. Use whatever resources you need. Just bring her back.”
The researchers nodded, quickly gathering their tools and running tests.
They worked around the clock, trying everything they could to stabilize Su Jiyai’s condition.
Days passed, and the faint heartbeat never went away, but Su Jiyai didn’t wake up either.
Qin Feng stayed by her side, his heart heavy with a mix of hope and dread.
Every day he checked on the progress, refusing to leave her alone for long.
He couldn’t lose her again—not after everything he had been through.
One evening, George came to him with some news.
“Boss, we found a possible solution. There’s a legendary healer in a nearby city. People say she’s been able to bring people back from the brink of death before.”
Qin Feng’s eyes lit up. “Then what are we waiting for? Let’s go find her.”
“That…the legendary healer…is in Black Ray base…” George said in an embarrassed voice.
Qin Feng’s face darkened.
The Black Ray base was formed by the Xuan Family and the Qin Family helped them.
He had planned to destroy their base after Su Jiyai was revived, but now it seems he needs to visit the Black Ray base.
Since he was doing so, Qin Feng decided to take his revenge.
All the people who had harmed Su Jiyai, and had harmed him.
So one by one he took down everyone.
The first one was his mother and father. One had made plans to kill Su Jiyai, while the other watched calmly as his face was ripped off.
Qin Feng knew he should be cruel toward them yet he couldn’t kill them directly.
It is very easy to say hatred is enough to provoke a person to kill, but the reality is if the chance is given, the person won’t be able to kill…mainly due to the relationship they shared with the other person.
Did he always have a bittersweet relationship with his parents? No.
In reality, they did show him some affection in childhood and shielded him for a long while.
Only when his interest and their interest didn’t match, did they change completely.
But that doesn’t mean he could forgive them for what they did.
Hence he decided to play a kind son and pretend to apologize to them and do all the tasks for them, but in reality, he would turn their family hollow and one by one kick all of their loyal subordinates from their sides.
And once he does that, he will send them to a far off place, where they will have to struggle every single day.
He returned to the Black Ray base and apologized.
Mr. Qin and Mrs. Qin mocked him.
“Oh? So now you know how to be sorry?”
Qin Feng clenched his fists but kept his face calm. He smiled a little, even though his heart was burning with anger.
