Chapter 381: Chapter 381: Meeting Qin Feng
“Alright, give it to me,” she said with determination.
She felt a bit silly getting dressed up like this, but her heart was racing.
After everything, she wanted to look her best in front of Qin Feng, even if she was in her wolf form.
In an instant, a beautiful silver chain appeared around her neck, its pendant sparkling lightly. Su Jiyai checked herself in the mirror again.
The blue fur and the chain really gave her a mysterious, elegant look.
“Okay, I think I’m ready,” she said to herself, taking a deep breath.
She teleported to where Qin Feng was. Her heart was pounding so loud, she was sure he could hear it.
Qin Feng turned around, his eyes widening when he saw her. His mouth dropped open slightly, but then he smiled softly.
“You look… beautiful.”
Su Jiyai’s heart skipped a beat. She was so nervous about how he would react to her new form, but seeing that smile on his face made her feel a little better.
“Really?” She asked. She thought all Qin Feng aka Lin Hao would hear was a woof.
But to her surprise, Qin Feng nodded and said, “Really.”
Su Jiyai blinked in surprise. Wait, he understood her? She had spoken in her wolf form, and he still understood.
“Y-you can understand me?” she asked, still unsure.
Qin Feng laughed softly.
“Of course. I’ve always been able to understand you, no matter what form you’re in.”
Su Jiyai felt a wave of relief wash over her.
She wagged her tail without realizing it, and then quickly stopped, feeling embarrassed.
“Oh… good. That’s… good,” she mumbled, trying to play it cool.
Qin Feng chuckled again, stepping closer to her.
“You don’t need to worry so much. You’re still the same Su Jiyai I know. No matter what, you’re… amazing.”
Su Jiyai felt her face (or, more accurately, her muzzle) heat up.
She looked away, trying to hide how flustered she felt. But her big wolf ears betrayed her, twitching nervously.
“Thanks,” she muttered. “But… I’m not amazing. I mean, look at me. I’m a wolf now.”
Qin Feng shook his head.
“You’re still you. And that’s all that matters.”
Su Jiyai glanced at him, her heart swelling with emotion.
She had worried so much about how he would react, but he didn’t care about her appearance.
He still saw her for who she really was.
“Qin Feng… I…” she started, but the words got stuck in her throat.

How could she explain everything she was feeling?
Qin Feng knelt down next to her, placing a hand gently on her head.
“You don’t have to say anything. I know.”
Su Jiyai’s eyes misted over.
She leaned into his touch, feeling safe and warm for the first time in a long while.
It was strange, but even in her wolf form, she felt completely understood by him.
“I’m just glad you’re here,” Qin Feng whispered.
“Me too,” Su Jiyai replied softly, her heart pounding in her chest.
For a moment, the world seemed to fade away, and it was just the two of them.
Then, Qin Feng cleared his throat and stood up, breaking the moment.
“Can I…can I hug you?”
Su Jiyai’s eyes widened. “C-carry me?”
Qin Feng nodded with a soft smile.
“Yeah, just like old times. You used to love it when I carried you around, remember?”
Su Jiyai felt her heart skip again. Of course, she remembered.
Back when everything was normal, back when she wasn’t a wolf. She always felt safe in his arms.
“I mean… sure if you can carry a wolf,” she joked, though a part of her was nervous about how it would feel now.
Qin Feng chuckled and gently scooped her up, surprising her with how strong he still was.
Even in her wolf form, he lifted her with ease.
Su Jiyai blinked, looking up at him as he held her close.
“See? Easy,” Qin Feng said with a grin.
His warmth made Su Jiyai’s nervousness melt away, and for a moment, it felt like everything was back to the way it used to be.
“Okay, okay, you win,” Su Jiyai mumbled, trying not to let him see how flustered she was.
For a moment she wished she could go back to her cat form. Carrying her would become easy and less awkward for Qin Feng.
Just as she thought so, a light enveloped her, and she shrank into a tiny wolf cub.
Qin Feng was stunned. Even Su Jiyai and the system were surprised.
[Host you can shrink your size as per your wish?]
“You can shrink your size?” Qin Feng asked with surprise.
Su Jiyai was at loss.
Su Jiyai blinked, staring at her tiny wolf paws.
Wait… what just happened? She turned her head up to Qin Feng, who was now looking down at her, wide-eyed.
“I-I guess I can,” she mumbled, still confused. “I didn’t even know I could do that.”
Qin Feng looked like he was trying not to laugh, but a chuckle escaped him anyway.
“Well, this makes things… easier. You’re like a little puppy now.”
Su Jiyai huffed, puffing out her chest.
“I’m not a puppy! I’m still a powerful wolf!” Her voice, however, sounded more like a squeaky bark, and that made Qin Feng laugh even more.
“Sure, sure. A very powerful tiny wolf,” he teased, giving her head a gentle pat.
Su Jiyai felt her cheeks heat up (if wolves could blush, she would’ve been bright red).
She pouted but couldn’t help wagging her tail a little.
At least being small made it easier to be carried, and it felt kind of nice.
Qin Feng smiled softly, holding her close. “You know, you’re even cuter like this.”
Su Jiyai’s tail wagged faster, but she quickly stopped it, trying to act cool. “I didn’t do it on purpose,” she muttered.
“Well, it’s still pretty convenient,” Qin Feng said, gently cradling her like a baby wolf cub. “And now you’re extra huggable.”
Su Jiyai’s heart fluttered.
She had never been hugged like this before, especially not in her wolf form.
