Chapter 384: Chapter 384: Mysterious Encounter
“Okay… okay… just be cool,” she whispered to herself, her tail swishing behind her nervously.
She padded over to the bathroom, feeling both excited and embarrassed at the same time.
When she reached the door, she hesitated for a moment, her ears twitching as she heard the sound of water running.
‘What am I even doing?’ she thought, but before she could turn back, Qin Feng’s voice called out.
“Su Jiyai, is that you?”
Her heart jumped in her chest. He must’ve heard her footsteps.
She swallowed hard and poked her head through the door, her big wolf eyes meeting his.
Qin Feng was standing in the shower, the water running over his muscular body, and he was giving her a teasing grin.
“You came after all, huh?” he said, raising an eyebrow playfully.
Su Jiyai’s face felt like it was on fire. She quickly looked away, her tail wagging nervously.
“I-I just… I was curious!” she blurted out, her voice a little higher than usual.
Qin Feng chuckled. “Curious, huh?” He stepped out of the water, his body still dripping wet, and reached for a towel.
“Well, I’m glad you’re here,” he said, wrapping the towel around his waist.
Su Jiyai didn’t know where to look. Her eyes kept darting between his toned chest, his abs, and the floor.
She wanted to say something cool or clever, but all she could do was stand there, feeling more flustered by the second.
Qin Feng walked over to her, kneeling down so they were at eye level. He reached out and gently scratched behind her ears.
“Why only see? Want to feel? I can let you touch it too. After all, everything I have is yours.”
Su Jiyai’s heart raced even faster, and she felt like her entire body was overheating.
“W-What are you talking about?” she stammered, her voice shaky. Her tail wagged uncontrollably, even though she was trying so hard to stay calm.
“I just want you to help me bathe.” She lied through her bare teeth.
She would never accept that she was a pervert.
……..
Compared to the joyful and peaceful time Su Jiyai was having, the Su family on the other hand was suffering.
The first one was Su Jin.
Two months ago he was in high spirits and thought he would make a name for himself in the base by using the cultivation guide.
He thought he would be a genius and would reach the Foundation stage quickly if he cultivated properly.
However, even after cultivating for a month straight, his cultivation remained at the most basic level…he couldn’t even sense the spiritual energy in the air!
None!
After a month all of his motivation vanished and he started to find shortcuts.
He has his own personal savings and hoped to come across something that would help him with cultivation. A secret technique or some mysterious person who would take a liking to him and give his inheritance to him.

Su Jin had read many cultivation novels before the apocalypse, who would have thought that one day immortal cultivation would truly appear?
Now that he thought about all the protagonists of the stories, they had one thing in common.
A mysterious encounter, or inheriting the secret art of some mysterious person!
Su Jin wished he would meet one too and hence he was strolling in the market.
Just then his eyes fell on a black cloaked man, who looked around, due to the hood of the cloak, the man’s face wasn’t visible and he exuded a mysterious enegry.
Su Jin’s heart was pounding as he watched the black-cloaked man disappear into the bushes.
His breath quickened with excitement.
This was it!
His fated encounter!
Just like in the novels, this was how it all began—a mysterious master hiding in the shadows, waiting for the right person to inherit their legacy.
Without a second thought, he hurried after the man, making sure to stay quiet.
As he stepped into the bushes, he heard hushed voices whispering urgently.
“This is a rare treasure. We cannot sell it to just anyone,” the black-cloaked man said in a deep, mysterious voice.
“Yes, only someone truly fated can receive this secret technique,” another voice added.
It was lower and raspier, like an old master who had seen the world’s secrets.
Su Jin’s eyes widened. Fated one? Secret technique? It was exactly as he had read in the novels!
His heart racing, he stepped forward and tapped the black-cloaked man on the shoulder.
“E-Excuse me, senior! I—I think I am the fated one!”
The man stiffened and slowly turned around. His face was partially covered by his hood, but Su Jin could see a pair of sharp, calculating eyes.
The second man, who was shorter and stockier, also turned, his face strangely stiff.
Su Jin didn’t notice anything odd. Instead, he felt even more convinced that this was destiny.
The cloaked man narrowed his eyes.
“Who are you?”
Su Jin immediately said,
“I didn’t want to follow you but a voice in my heart asked me to follow you. Senior I heard your entire conversation.”
“You… you think you are the fated one?” The cloaked man asked.
Su Jin nodded quickly.
“Yes! I have been training for one month, but I can’t sense spiritual energy at all! This must be fate leading me to you!”
The two men exchanged glances.
The shorter one coughed into his fist.
“Ah, indeed. Such a problem is rare. Only those with great potential face such obstacles at the beginning.”
Su Jin’s eyes shone with excitement.
“R-Really? That’s what I thought too! So, does that mean I can receive your inheritance?”
The black-cloaked man nodded slowly, rubbing his chin as if in deep thought.
“Perhaps… but first, tell me, young one. Do you have the heart of a true cultivator?”
“Yes!” Su Jin said eagerly. “I’ll do whatever it takes to become strong!”
The shorter man clapped his hands together. “Good, very good! Then you are worthy of this chance.”
