Chapter 387: Chapter 387: Ruined Reputation
Wei Xin’s expression remained cold. She took a deep breath before saying,
“Maybe… Ma Xing was the one who seduced him.”
The crowd fell silent for a moment before someone scoffed. “Are you serious? Why would she?”
“She has a powerful, handsome boyfriend. Why would she even look at Su Jin?” another voice added.
Wei Xin’s grip on her dress tightened. She turned back to Su Jin, who was desperately looking at her for support.
“Please…” Su Jin croaked. “You have to believe me…”
But Wei Xin closed her eyes and took a step back.
“If you really were innocent,” she whispered, “then why would everyone think otherwise?”
Su Jin’s heart plummeted. He realized, at that moment, that no one was going to believe him.
And Ma Xing… she had planned this all along.
Du Xiao’s fist clenched. “Since you like touching what isn’t yours, let me break those filthy hands of yours.”
Before Su Jin could react, another brutal punch sent him crashing against the wall.
The last thing he saw before his vision blurred was Wei Xin turning away, leaving him behind.
Su Jin groaned as his eyes fluttered open. His whole body ached, and his head felt like it had been split in half.
The pain was unbearable, but what hurt more was the humiliation and betrayal.
He tried to move, but his limbs felt heavy. That was when he noticed a warm hand gently pressing a damp cloth against his forehead.
His blurry vision slowly cleared, and he saw a familiar face leaning over him.
“Dad, you’re awake!” Su Rong’s soft voice filled the room.
Her delicate face was full of worry, her eyes red as if she had been crying.
Su Jin swallowed, feeling a lump in his throat. He had expected to wake up alone, abandoned by everyone.
But his daughter… she was still here.
“Rong’er…” he croaked, his throat dry and rough.
Su Rong quickly poured him a glass of water and held it to his lips.
“Drink, Dad. Don’t talk too much yet. You need to rest.”
He took a few sips, his hands shaking as he held the cup.
When he finally put it down, he looked at her with teary eyes.
“You… you believe me, right?” His voice cracked, full of desperation.
“I didn’t force her. Ma Xing… she set me up!”
Su Rong’s grip on his hand tightened. “I know, Dad. I know you wouldn’t do something like that.”
Hearing those words, Su Jin finally lost control. His shoulders trembled as tears streamed down his face.

He had held back so much, but now, in front of his daughter, he couldn’t anymore.
“I was so stupid!” he sobbed.
“I thought she liked me… I thought she really wanted to be with me… but she tricked me! She played with me, and then… and then she framed me in front of everyone!”
Su Rong wiped his tears with her sleeve, her own eyes filled with sorrow.
“Dad, it’s not your fault. That woman is evil! She used you!”
Su Jin let out a bitter laugh.
“I was blinded. I let my greed and stupidity take over. I should have never trusted her! I… I lost everything, Rong’er! My reputation… my dignity… even your mother… she won’t even look at me now!”
Su Rong’s heart ached for him.
“Mom’s just angry and embarrassed. But she knows you. She might not say it, but deep down, she must have doubts about what happened.”
Su Jin shook his head.
“No. She believes them. Everyone does. To them, I’m just a disgusting man who tried to force himself on another woman. And Ma Xing… she acted so innocent. She cried and clung to Du Xiao like she was the victim!”
Su Rong’s hands clenched into fists.
“That witch! How could she do this to you?! She’s the one who chased after you for weeks! And now she’s pretending to be the victim? I should go find her and—”
Su Jin grabbed her hand weakly.
“No, Rong’er. Don’t. She has Du Xiao. He’s strong, and he won’t hesitate to hurt you. I don’t want you to get involved in this mess.”
Su Rong bit her lip, her body shaking with anger.
“But, Dad… we can’t just let her get away with this! We have to do something!”
Su Jin closed his eyes, exhaustion washing over him again.
“I don’t know what to do… I have nothing left. If I try to explain, no one will believe me.”
Su Rong held her forehead,
“But Dad, Ma Xing, and her boyfriend are asking for compensation now! They want…they are demanding for 1 million points in return for forgetting everything!”
Su Jin’s eyes widened in shock. His breath caught in his throat as he stared at his daughter.
“One million points?” he whispered, his voice shaking.
Su Rong nodded, her face full of anger.
“They sent someone earlier. He said if we don’t pay, they’ll spread the news even more and ruin what’s left of your name!”
Su Jin clenched his fists. His whole body was shaking, not just from pain, but from helplessness.
“They already destroyed me… what else can they do?”
Just then the doorbell rang.
Su Rong opened the door and when she saw Du Xiao and Ma Xing, her face turned pale, but she quickly hid it. In a stern voice, she asked,
“What do you want?”
Ma Xing showed a scared expression and Du Xiao growled at Su Rong, causing her to take a step back in fear.
Ma Xing said in a timid voice,
“I want to ask some questions from your father. I need an answer to my questions…”
“He doesn’t want to talk with you.” Su Rong said calmly. Her nails had dug into her palm.
Du Xiao coldly looked at her and said,
“No one asked for your opinion.”
With that, he pushed Su Rong away and made a beeline to Su Jin’s room along with Ma Xing.
Su Rong tried her best to stop them but she still failed.
