Chapter 388: Chapter 388: End of Su Jin-1
Once inside, Ma Xing and Du Xiao found Su Jin who was lying on the bed with a helpless expression.
He glared at Ma Xing with hatred.
Su Jin’s hands clenched into fists as he stared at Ma Xing. His eyes burned with anger, but his body was too weak to do anything.
Ma Xing stepped closer, pretending to be nervous. She clutched Du Xiao’s arm like she was scared.
“Su Jin…” she whispered. “I just… I just want to know why you did it.”
Su Jin gritted his teeth. “Stop acting! You know I didn’t do anything to you!”
Ma Xing flinched and looked away as if she was trying to hold back tears.
“I don’t understand, Su Jin… You were always so kind to me… Why did you force me?”
Su Rong, who had followed them inside, exploded with rage.
“Liar! You chased after my dad for weeks! You were the one who tricked him!”
Du Xiao’s face darkened. He took a threatening step toward Su Rong. “Watch your mouth, girl.”
Su Jin struggled to sit up. His whole body hurt, but he couldn’t let them bully his daughter.
“If you touch her, Du Xiao, I swear I’ll make you pay.”
Du Xiao smirked.
“Oh? And how are you gonna do that? You’re nothing now. A weak, useless man who has no money and no power.”
Su Jin’s hands trembled. He knew Du Xiao was right.
Ma Xing sighed, shaking her head.
“I really didn’t want to do this, Su Jin… But since you won’t admit your mistake, we have no choice.”
She pulled out a small device and held it up. A red light blinked—it was recording.
“We’ll give you one last chance,” she said sweetly.
“Apologize. Tell the truth. Say you forced me, and we’ll make this go away.”
Su Rong’s face turned pale. “You’re trying to blackmail him!”
Ma Xing ignored her and smiled at Su Jin.
“If you don’t, we’ll send this recording to everyone and tell them you refused to take responsibility. After that, we’ll make sure you never find a job, never live in peace, never—”
“Enough!” Su Jin shouted. His face was red with anger, his breath shaky. “I won’t confess to something I didn’t do.”
Ma Xing sighed again, but her eyes flashed with something cold. She leaned toward him and asked in a soft voice.
“Are you sure you never did something as disgusting as what you were pretending to do with me?”
Su Jin was stunned and stared at Ma Xing’s cold eyes.
Ma Xing continued a voice where only two of them could hear each other,
“Su Jin…did you forget, how you used to r*pe women in the agriculture units in exchange for not kicking them out of their jobs?
Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".
Did you forget how back in Willow Base, you made sure every single girl and woman you had r*ped was killed in the end?
Did you forget how you used to molest your own adoptive daughter?”
Su Jin’s face twisted in shock. He stared at Ma Xing, his breathing uneven.
“What… what are you talking about?” he stammered.
Ma Xing leaned closer, her voice dropping to a whisper.
“Oh, Su Jin,” she said with a fake sigh. “Did you really think your past would stay buried forever?”
Su Jin’s hands gripped the blanket tightly.
“I don’t know what you’re trying to do,” he growled. “But I’ve never done anything like that!”
Ma Xing smiled, but her eyes were cold.
“Really? So if I start digging into your past, I won’t find anything? No secrets? No mistakes?”
Du Xiao crossed his arms, watching with amusement.
“Su Jin, let’s be honest,” Ma Xing continued.
“You’ve always used your power to control others. Now that you’ve lost everything, you’re just a weak, pitiful man.”
Su Rong stepped in front of her father, her fists clenched.
“Enough! Stop trying to twist things!”
Ma Xing tilted her head, pretending to be innocent.
“I’m just asking questions,” she said sweetly. “If your father really has nothing to hide, why is he so scared?”
Su Jin’s face was pale.
How did Ma Xing know all of these things?
Du Xiao sighed, stretching his arms.
“This is boring,” he said. “Anyways, you accept the truth and we will leave, otherwise…”
He cracked his knuckles, causing Su Jin to shudder.
Su Jin’s breath hitched. He looked at Ma Xing, then at Du Xiao.”You… you’re bluffing,” he muttered.
Ma Xing chuckled.
“Am I?” She pulled out a tablet and tapped the screen.
A picture appeared—it was an old photo of Su Jin, standing in front of a building with a few workers in the background.
“Look familiar?” she asked.
Su Jin’s face turned even paler.
“That’s…” His voice trailed off.
“This is from Willow Base,” Ma Xing said sweetly.
“And guess what? Some of the families of those ‘missing’ workers still remember you. Wouldn’t it be a shame if they started talking?”
Su Jin’s breathing was uneven.
“You… you wouldn’t.”Ma Xing grinned.
“I would.”Du Xiao crossed his arms.
“Three seconds, Su Jin. Admit it, or we ruin you.”
“One.”
Su Jin clenched his jaw.
“Two.”
Su Rong shook her father’s arm.
“Dad! No!”
“Thr—”
“Fine!” Su Jin blurted out, sweat dripping down his forehead.
Ma Xing raised an eyebrow.
“Fine… what?”Su Jin looked down, his fists trembling. His voice was barely above a whisper.
“I… I did it.”
Su Rong gasped.
“Dad?! No!”Ma Xing smirked, stopping the recording. “See? That wasn’t so hard, was it?”
Su Jin felt like his whole world had just collapsed.
Du Xiao patted his shoulder roughly. “Smart choice.”
Ma Xing tucked the recording device into her pocket.
“Now, be a good boy and disappear. And if you ever think about fighting back… well, you know what we can do.”
With that, Ma Xing and Du Xiao turned and walked out of the room, leaving Su Jin frozen in place.
“Dad… why did you say that?”
