Chapter 390: Chapter 390: End Of Su Jin-2
Su Rong transferred the points back to him, and Old Xu handed the pendant over without complaint.
“You have guts, girl. What will you do now?” he asked.
Su Rong held the pendant tightly in her hand.
“Resell it to someone who is ready to give me a fair price.”
Su Rong left the shop, the jade pendant hidden safely in her pocket. Her heart was beating fast, but her face remained calm. She knew she had made the right choice. If she had let her father sell it, they would have lost a fortune.
She walked through the crowded streets, thinking about her next move.
Selling the pendant now would be foolish. She needed to find the right buyer—someone rich, powerful, and desperate for a cultivation boost.
As she turned a corner, she saw a familiar face—Lin Wei, a well-known merchant who dealt with rare items.
He was dressed in expensive robes, talking to a group of men.
Su Rong took a deep breath and walked straight up to him.
“Merchant Lin, I have something you might be interested in,” she said confidently.
Lin Wei raised an eyebrow. “Oh? And what would that be?”
Su Rong pulled out the pendant just enough for him to see. Lin Wei’s eyes widened slightly, but he quickly controlled his expression.
“Let’s talk somewhere private,” he said.
They moved into a quiet tea shop, sitting at a corner table. Lin Wei leaned forward, studying the pendant closely.
“This is no ordinary jade,” he murmured. “Where did you get it?”
Su Rong smiled faintly. “That’s not important. What matters is the price.”
Lin Wei chuckled. “You’re a bold one. Alright, how much do you want for it?”
“100 million points,” Su Rong said without hesitation.
Lin Wei blinked, then laughed. “100 million? That’s a big number, little girl.”
Su Rong met his gaze. “This pendant can boost cultivation. I know its true value. Someone will pay that price.”
Lin Wei’s expression turned serious.
He tapped his fingers on the table, thinking.
“I won’t lie, this is tempting. But I don’t have that amount right now.”
Su Rong tilted her head. “Then find someone who does. I can wait.”
Lin Wei stared at her for a long moment, then smirked. “Alright. Give me three days. I’ll find a buyer.”
Su Rong nodded. “Three days. Not a second longer.”
She stood up and left the tea shop, her mind already thinking of backup plans. If Lin Wei failed, she would find another buyer herself. But deep down, she knew she had already won.The jade pendant was worth a fortune; she was the only one who knew its true value.
Now, she just had to play her cards right.
Just as she was feeling gleeful, she heard Su Jin’s voice,

“Daughter, did you give the money to Du Xiao?”
Su Rong stared at Su Jin and suddenly thought of a problem, she didn’t think before.
If Ma Xing and Du Xiao truly spread the recording, the entire Su Family would be ostracized. Then she wouldn’t be able to sell the jade pendant for a good price.
So she would need to deal with Su Jin.
“Daughter?” Su Jin’s voice broke Su Rong’s thought process.
Su Rong quickly composed herself, turning to face Su Jin with a calm smile.
“Yes, Father,” she said smoothly. “I gave the money to Du Xiao, just like he asked. He promised not to bother us anymore.”
Su Jin let out a deep breath, his shoulders relaxing. “Good. Finally, we can move on. I don’t want to see those scumbags ever again.”
Su Rong nodded, but inside, she was thinking fast.
She had lied. Du Xiao never got a single point from her.
“Father,” she said, pretending to hesitate. “There’s something else. I overheard someone saying that Du Xiao and Ma Xing might still be holding onto some grudge. They might spread rumors about us even after taking the money.”
Su Jin’s face darkened.
“Those rats! After everything we did to settle things fairly? What should we do?”
Su Rong sighed. “We can’t just sit and wait for them to ruin us. We need to act first.”
Su Jin looked at her uncertainly. “What do you mean?”
“How about this, you leave the base for 2 months. In these two months, I will ensure that those 2 are dealt with, then you can return.” Su Rong suggested.
Su Jin’s heart skipped a beat.
Just the mere thought of leaving the base made him reluctant.
The apartment in this base was clean and had 24/7 electricity. It also had cheap food and a barrier protecting the entire base from extreme heat.
However, Su Rong was correct.
If she can deal with the entire problem within the next 2 months, he wouldn’t have to live in fear anymore.
“But… where would I even go?” he asked, his voice uneasy.
Su Rong sighed, acting as if she was thinking hard.
“You can go to the outer camps. There are places where travelers rest. It won’t be as comfortable as the base, but it’s only for two months. And once I handle everything, you can come back.”
Su Jin frowned.
“And what about you? Won’t Du Xiao and Ma Xing come after you instead?”
Su Rong shook her head and smiled.
“No, Father. They don’t see me as a threat. They only care about you. If you’re gone, they won’t have a reason to cause trouble.”
Su Jin still looked unsure, but the thought of staying and facing Du Xiao and Ma Xing made him even more nervous.
If they really told the truth, people in the base would turn against him. His life here would become miserable.
Su Rong could see the fear in his eyes.
“Father, trust me,” she said gently.
“This is the best way. Just go for a short time. I’ll handle everything.”
Su Jin sighed heavily, rubbing his temples.
“Alright… I’ll leave.”
Su Rong smiled, feeling satisfied.
“Good. I’ll help you pack. You should leave tonight before anyone notices.”
