Chapter 407: Chapter 407: Tempt
Jake thought for a while and pointed out,
“Narak’s biggest advantage is the huge number of zombies he has and his high cultivation. To deal with this problem, we need to deal with the problem in parts.”
Su Jiyai, however, had a different plan, and she said,
“Or maybe we can offer Narak what he wants and make an alliance with him?”
Jake and Xi Ping instantly shook their head and said,
“Not possible. Why could he possibly even want? Money? Fame?”
Lin Hao, who was silent till now, said,
“Or maybe we can convince him that we can turn him back into a human.”
Xi Ping furrowed her brow, crossing her arms as she gave Lin Hao a doubtful look.
“Turn him back into a human? Are you serious? Even if we had that kind of power, do you really think Narak would want it?”
Lin Hao met her gaze steadily.
“I don’t know if he wants it, but it’s worth a try. Narak was once human, and if we play on that, maybe we can create doubt in his mind, slow him down, or even force him to reconsider his war.”
Jake raised an eyebrow, though his voice remained calm.
“And what if he doesn’t care about being human anymore? What if he’s embraced being a zombie king completely?”
Su Jiyai looked at Lin Hao thoughtfully.
“It’s risky. But if we can convince him, even for a moment, that we have the ability to give him something he may want, it could buy us time. Time to regroup, to prepare for his real assault.”
Xi Ping uncrossed her arms, pacing a few steps before turning to face them.
“I get the idea, but how would we even get him to listen? He won’t just agree to meet for a heart-to-heart.”
Su Jiyai paused, then said, “We can send him a letter. Maybe through one of his zombies, or we can leave it near his main base.”
The others exchanged glances.
“That… might actually work,” Jake said thoughtfully. “If we approach it right, he might take the bait.”
Xi Ping stopped pacing and nodded. “It’s worth a shot. If he sees that we’re offering something, he might want to listen, at least.”
With that, the meeting was over. Xi Ping and Jake headed off to rest while Su Jiyai had other plans.
She teleported to Lin Hao’s room, her small blue wolf cub form making her almost silent as she appeared.
The room was empty, so she patiently waited, her fluffy tail curling around her paws.
A few minutes later, the door opened, and Lin Hao stepped inside, looking tired but focused.
As soon as he saw her, a soft smile spread across his face.
“There you are,” he said, walking over to her.
Su Jiyai’s ears perked up, and she jumped into his arms. Lin Hao caught her easily, holding her close to his chest.
His hand stroked her soft fur, and he leaned down to press a gentle kiss on top of her head.

“Did you miss me?” he asked, his voice tender.
Su Jiyai nodded her little wolf head, snuggling into his chest. Lin Hao chuckled softly, his hand continuing to pet her.
“I missed you too,” he whispered, his eyes filled with warmth.
He kissed her again, this time on her cheek, and Su Jiyai wagged her tail, feeling happy and safe in his arms.
The pressure of dealing with a zombie king was too much, and Su Jiyai was barely able to keep up.
Lin Hao, aka Qin Feng, hugged her and asked,
“Don’t you want to know where I went?”
“Where did you go?” Su Jiyai asked as if she genuinely didn’t know.
Qin Feng laughed in his heart and explained to her,
“A zombie king was attacking Boss Su’s base, and Boss Su asked me and three other people to fight on her behalf.”
Su Jiyai nodded and asked,
“So the zombie king was defeated?”
“Nope. We were barely able to defeat his clone.” Lin Hao said.
“Oh…” Su Jiyai remained silent. The anxiety that she had suppressed seemed to boil again.
Lin Hao’s heart ached when he saw Su Jiyai’s tensed expression and decided to tell her the truth.
“In fact, in our duel with the clone, I held back.”
“Huh?” Su Jiyai’s expression changed.
“I did. I have reached level 15 of my powers. That zombie king must be at level 17. Though the gap between us seems a lot, with external help, I can kill the Narak, that zombie king.” Lin Hao said.
‘So why didn’t you say so earlier?’ Su Jiyai almost shouted, but she suppressed her emotions and decided to listen to Qin Feng’s full explanation first.
If he had held back and was hiding such important information from Boss Su, surely he had some important reason, right?
“I have already told you about my power, right? I can gain superpowers as long as I absorb the blood of that superhuman.
One of the superpowers that I gained is future prediction. According to what I have seen, if Boss Su killed Narak, she would regret her decision.” Qin Feng explained patiently.
Su Jiyai’s ears twitched as she processed Qin Feng’s words, her small wolf body tense in his arms.
“Boss Su would regret killing Narak?” she asked softly, her voice barely a whisper. “Why?”
Qin Feng stroked her fur soothingly, his touch gentle but firm.
“I can’t tell you all the details, Jiyai. You know how these future visions work—they’re not always clear. But I’ve seen enough to know that if she kills him outright, something worse will follow. And trust me, we don’t want that.”
Su Jiyai’s heart pounded.
The thought of something worse than Narak, the zombie king, made her shudder.
She snuggled deeper into Qin Feng’s chest, seeking comfort.
The pressure weighing her down seemed to have reduced a bit.
Qin Feng saw relaxed expression and proposed,
“Why don’t we sleep a bit? You seem tired.”
