Chapter 412: Chapter 412: Support
Su Jiyai sighed, folding her arms across her chest.
“If it comes to that, we’ll have to make a decision on the spot. But if things get out of hand, we retreat immediately. I’ll prepare a teleportation escape plan. I won’t risk losing any of you.”
Xi Ping nodded, though the concern in her eyes didn’t fade.
Qin Feng leaned forward, tapping his fingers on the table.
“We can’t underestimate the zombie king. From what we’ve gathered, he’s not just any regular zombie. His intelligence is far superior, and he might have abilities we’ve never encountered before.”
Jake added,
“Not to mention he’s been rallying zombies and building alliances. There’s no telling how strong his forces are now.”
Su Jiyai remained calm though her thoughts raced.
“We’ll be cautious, but we must also show strength. He needs to know we aren’t afraid of him. Negotiation can only work if he respects our power.”
The meeting continued with further planning, covering every potential scenario.
They set up communication signals, escape routes, and even a backup team to support them from afar. Su Jiyai ensured everyone knew their role in case of a sudden ambush.
As the meeting concluded, Su Jiyai stood up and said, “Rest tonight. We’ll need all our energy for tomorrow.”
After the meeting, Su Jiyai sent out the top soldiers of her team to different locations and even gave them the teleportation button.
Even though she ensured everything was on track, Su Jiyai was still scared.
She hoped Narak could compromise.
If what Qin Feng had said was true, then she wished Narak and she form a alliance.
She opened the mission panel to see the progress.
Currently, she has reached the mark of 75,000 rooms being occupied.
With 25,000 more, she would reach level 4.
Then, she would be only a step away from reaching level 5.
To calm her anxiety, Su Jiyai absorbed another piece of blood crystal.
It was her 8th piece.
Su Jiyai guessed that she had reached level 11 of fire superpower.
Somehow, the further she went in red crystal absorption, the more she gained. However, the duration of time needed to absorb the power also increased.
After absorbing the 8th piece, Su Jiyai felt her fire superpower level rising.
By the time she opened her eyes, it was already 9 pm.
A small smile appeared on her face.
She was going to reach level 12 of fire superpower, with how things were progressing.
Suppressing her excitement, Su Jiyai called the tenants for a meeting and then explained,
“A zombie king of level 17 might attack the base in the upcoming base, hence, I request all the tenants to stay in their rooms and not roam outside. My team and I are going to try to hold them off, so please don’t wander outside the base.”

As Su Jiyai’s words echoed through the speaker system, the tenants fell into a stunned silence.
The gravity of her message settled over them like a thick fog, and within moments, anxious murmurs began to ripple through the crowd.
Some of the tenants, their faces pale with fear, broke down into panicked cries.
“What are we going to do? A level 17 zombie king? We’ll be wiped out!” one woman sobbed, her voice trembling with desperation.
Another man nervously clutched his arms, pacing back and forth.
“We paid the rent, Boss Su! You have to protect us, right? We’re counting on you! Don’t let them get us!” he shouted, his voice rising in hysteria.
Others chimed in, their pleas becoming more frantic by the second.
“We trusted you, Boss Su! We paid for safety!” “I have a family—please, protect us!”
Su Jiyai, hidden from view, listened quietly as the wave of panic spread.
Her face, however, was cold and expressionless.
She had expected fear, but the desperation in their voices—begging for protection without thought for anyone else—left a bitter taste in her mouth.
Suddenly, a voice cut through the clamor, sharp and resolute. “Enough!”
A middle-aged man, his face weathered but his posture firm, stepped forward, his voice filled with indignation.
“Do any of you hear yourselves? You’re sitting here crying for your lives as if Boss Su is the only one responsible for protecting us! Have you forgotten what she’s done for us already?”
The crowd quieted down, turning toward the man in surprise. He continued, his voice growing stronger with each word.
“Without Boss Su, we wouldn’t be living in luxury! We’d be out there in the wasteland, fighting for scraps, barely surviving! It’s because of her that we’ve been able to live comfortably, with food, water, and safety.
She gave us this apartment complex at a price no one else could offer, and you’re all crying like cowards when we should be thinking about how we can help her!”
His words ignited a spark in the room.
The once fearful murmurs shifted as realization dawned on many faces.
One by one, tenants nodded in agreement, the panic slowly giving way to resolve.
A young woman stepped forward, her voice steady as she spoke.
“He’s right. Boss Su has done more for us than anyone else in this apocalypse. Without her, we wouldn’t even be alive right now.
The food we get every day? The security we have here? It’s all because of her. If there’s a chance to fight, then we owe it to her to do our part.”
Another tenant chimed in,
“She’s kept the costs low for us, even when everything outside this base is a nightmare. We’ve lived here in comfort for so long… it’s time we gave back.”
Murmurs of agreement spread through the group, and soon, more voices rose in support.
“We’re not helpless! We can fight!”
“If Boss Su needs us, we’ll stand with her!”
“This isn’t just her base—it’s ours too. We have a duty to protect it!”
The energy in the room shifted dramatically.
What had begun as a scene of desperation was now filled with a sense of unity and determination.
The tenants rallied together, their fear replaced with a newfound resolve.
They stood tall, declaring their willingness to fight for the base that had kept them safe for so long.
“Boss Su, you’ve protected us all this time,” one tenant called out toward the speaker.
“But you’re not alone in this! If war comes to our doorstep, we’ll fight alongside you. This is our home too!”
Cheers erupted from the group, a loud and passionate cry of solidarity. “We’re with you, Boss Su! We’ll defend the base!”
Su Jiyai, listening to the tenants’ declarations, felt a warmth spread through her chest.
Though her face remained stoic, her heart swelled with emotion.
She hadn’t expected this response, but their loyalty and willingness to fight alongside her were both humbling and empowering.
“Thank you. Your support means more than you know. Together, we’ll face whatever comes our way.”
After finishing her announcement, Su Jiyai relaxed in her chair for a while.
She teleported to Qin Feng’s room. To her surprise, Qin Feng was cultivating.
The intensity of his power was unmistakable.
His once steady breathing became heavier, more labored, as his energy fluctuated. Veins pulsed along his arms and neck, and his muscles tensed as if trying to contain something massive within him.
His body began to glow faintly, a fiery aura emanating from him, illuminating the room in a warm, amber light.
Su Jiyai instinctively took a step back, her eyes wide with both shock and anticipation. Is this…? she thought, her heart pounding in her chest.
Suddenly, a burst of energy exploded from Qin Feng, causing a shockwave that rattled the room.
Su Jiyai had to brace herself against the wall to keep from being thrown back.
The surge of power was undeniable now—Qin Feng was breaking through.
For a moment, everything was still.
Then, the air settled, and Qin Feng slowly opened his eyes.
Su Jiyai was stunned, her mouth slightly open in disbelief.
“Qin Feng,” she whispered, stepping forward cautiously. “Did you… just…?”
Qin Feng stood up, his expression calm but his aura blazing with newfound power. He gave a small nod as if confirming what Su Jiyai already knew.
“I’ve reached level 16,” he said simply.
“Level 16…” Su Jiyai repeated, her voice full of disbelief. “That’s… incredible.”
Qin Feng, always composed, gave her a small smile, though there was a glint of pride in his eyes.
“It will make a difference in the fight,” he said, his voice calm but carrying the confidence of someone who had just ascended to a new level of power.
“I’ll be able to stand against more of Narak’s forces—maybe even him directly, if necessary.”
Su Jiyai felt a rush of relief wash over her.
She had been worried about the upcoming battle, about whether they stood a chance against a zombie king as powerful as Narak.
But now, with Qin Feng’s breakthrough, everything became much more balanced.
Just then, Qin Feng scooped Su Jiyai and said,
“Shouldn’t I be given a reward?”
