Chapter 422: Chapter 422: Portal
Ni Ziang stood still for a moment, his face unreadable as he thought about the situation. His subordinates, nervously shuffling behind him, exchanged worried glances.
The tension was thick, but Ni Ziang finally broke the silence.
“I’ve made up my mind,” he said, his voice low but firm. He turned to face his men, his eyes gleaming with a new idea.
“We’ll report this whole superpower awakener potion thing to General Dong. If we play our cards right, we can get into his good books.” Ni Ziang smirked.
“We’ll tell him that Su Jiyai kicked us out because she figured out we were the General’s men.”
His subordinate’s eyes widened. “You mean… we pretend that we were on a mission all along?”
“Exactly!” Ni Ziang nodded, feeling more confident with each word.
“We act like we were investigating her and that she caught on. General Dong will appreciate that we got close enough for her to kick us out. We’ll be heroes.”
The men nodded quickly, some even smiling at the cleverness of the plan.
“That’s smart, Boss! General Dong will think we were doing him a favor!”
“But, Boss,” one of the men hesitated, scratching his head.
“What if General Dong finds out we didn’t really do much… I mean, we were only there for a day.”
Ni Ziang’s smirk didn’t waver.
“We don’t tell him that part. We make it seem like we were there longer. Just focus on the important stuff, and we’ll be fine.”
The subordinate’s face lit up with understanding.
“Right! We’ll make it sound like we were deep undercover!”
Ni Ziang grinned.
“Exactly. By the time General Dong hears our version, he’ll think we did a great job. And for better effects let’s get injured and tell General Dong that Boss Su tortured us.”
The men all nodded in agreement, some of them even laughing as they imagined the General praising them for their “bravery” and “dedication.”
Ni Ziang, feeling a sense of victory despite being kicked out, waved his hand.
“Alright, let’s get moving. We’ve got a report to write.”
As they turned to leave, one of the subordinates whispered to the other,
“Man, I thought we were done for. But Boss Ni always knows how to turn things around.”
Unknowbeost to them, Su Jiyai had asked the system to record everything.

Su Jiyai placed the complete manual into the cultivation hall and retreated to the personally built cultivation hall in Qin Feng’s room.

For the sake of convenience, she had pretended that Boss Su had gifted her that.
She and Qin Feng both of them cultivated in the pool.

With Qin Feng’s help, Su Jiyai relocated the people of Jifeng to the Hua tribe and renamed the Hua tribe Jifeng Base.
The relocation process took 5 days.

Su Jiyai heaved a sigh of relief.
Finally, she had reached the level 4!
4 days passed by peacefully, and Su Jiyai mainly focused on cultivation, her physical powers, her fire superpower, and her dimension-hunting superpower.
Su Jiyai thought the remaining days would pass peacefully too.
However, an unexpected event happened.
She was leisurely cultivating when she sensed the space around her getting distorted.
With an alert expression, she opened her eyes and saw a small black portal the size of her hand appear in front of her.
In an instant, Su Jiyai understood a portal was about to open.
“Sh*t! I need to find an isolated place!”
Just then Qin Feng came out of the bathroom and stared at Su Jiyai with furrowed brows.
Su Jiyai didn’t have the time to explain and jumped in Qin Feng’s arms.
“Teleport me to an isolated area.”
Qin Feng didn’t ask any questions and did as she said.
The moment they appeared in an isolated area, Su Jiyai said,
“Step back and don’t follow me.”
Before she could get any response, a galaxy-colored portal opened in front of her.
“Okay, here we go,” Su Jiyai whispered to herself. She walked right into the portal.
As soon as she stepped in, everything around her went dark for a second, then bright lights flashed all around.
It felt like her body was being stretched and squeezed at the same time. She couldn’t see anything clearly, just colors swirling everywhere.
Then, just as quickly as it started, it stopped.
Su Jiyai landed on solid ground, but it wasn’t the same place where she had been with Qin Feng.
She looked around and realized she was in a completely different dimension.
The ground beneath her feet wasn’t like anything she had seen before.
It was smooth, metallic, and faintly reflective, as though she was standing on polished steel.
The air smelled clean but artificial, with a slight hum vibrating through the atmosphere.
When Su Jiyai looked up, her breath caught in her throat.
Towering above her were colossal skyscrapers, each one gleaming with smooth, silver surfaces.
They stretched impossibly high, disappearing into a hazy, light blue sky.
Some of the buildings had strange, floating platforms connecting them, and tiny specks—vehicles, perhaps—zipped between them in every direction.
The entire city seemed to be alive, pulsating with a soft glow coming from the many neon lights that ran along the buildings’ edges.
Symbols and strange signs flashed on screens suspended in midair, their meanings completely lost on her.
People walked briskly along wide pathways that floated above the metallic ground.
They wore sleek, form-fitting outfits with strange visors or devices attached to their wrists and necks.
“What place is this…” Su Jiyai muttered.
Suddenly, a hovercraft swooped down from above, landing silently a few meters away from her.
The door slid open, and a tall figure stepped out.
The man who emerged wore a dark, high-collared uniform with shining silver stripes running down the sides.
His hair was short and neatly trimmed, and he had a strange metallic device covering his right eye.
He glanced at Su Jiyai, his visible eye narrowing slightly.
“You there,” he called, his voice firm but not hostile.
“You don’t look like you’re from around here. Where’s your ID?”
Su Jiyai’s mind raced.
ID? Of course, in a place like this, they would have some kind of identification system. She tried to play it cool.
“Meow meow. Meow.” Su Jiyai meowed.
She didn’t know what the place was but she hoped the man would mistake her for some stray animal or spirit beast.
The man blinked before chuckling,
“You do realize that I have a beastman translating machine, right?”
“You…can understand my language?” Su Jiyai asked cautiously.
“Yes. Now tell me, where is your ID.” The man asked.
“I, uh, must have misplaced it,” she said, trying not to look too out of place.
The man raised an eyebrow and then tapped a button on the device attached to his wrist.
A small holographic screen popped up in front of him, and he swiped through it quickly.
“No ID on record,” he muttered to himself before looking back at her.
“You’re not registered in the system. That’s a problem.”
“Wait! Hold up!” she blurted out, raising her hand.
“You don’t have to do that! I was sent here by… um… Special Agent Rex!” She made up a name, hoping it sounded official enough.
The man paused, his brow furrowing.
“Special Agent Rex? I don’t know any Rex.”
“Well, duh,” Su Jiyai said, trying to act like she knew what she was talking about.
“That’s because he’s top-secret, super undercover. He doesn’t just show up in your system. He sent me here for a very important mission.”
The man stared at her, still suspicious. “And what mission would that be?”
Su Jiyai’s mind raced. She needed something that would convince him. Come on, think! she urged herself.
“Um… I’m here to gather intel on… unauthorized portals!” she said, her words tumbling out fast.
“Yeah! That’s right! My mission is to investigate strange, unauthorized portals opening up in random places.
You wouldn’t want someone snooping around and opening illegal portals, right? That could be dangerous!”
The man raised an eyebrow, his stance relaxing just a little. “Unauthorized portals, huh?”
