Chapter 424: Chapter 424: Beating
The guys holding her snickered.
“Force? Please. You better struggle a little, or this won’t be any fun.”
“Exactly, a struggling fish is much more fun to tease than a dead fish.”
They all burst out laughing, mocking her.
Su Jiyai was offended and laughed along with them,
“Correct. So later when I beat you all up, don’t you all dare to act dead.”
Her words caused all the people’s expressions to turn dark.
The leader narrowed his eyes and chuckled,
“You are making me angry, woman. Do you like it rough and hence deliberately provoking me?”
Then as if enlightened by his own words, the leader chuckled,
“Sure enough, I was wondering why a woman would dare to approach us.”
His followers whistled and said,
“Boss sure is smart!”
“Our leader is truly irresistible!”
Su Jiyai sighed and felt her time was getting wasted, hence, without a word
Su Jiyai sighed, feeling like her time was being wasted.
Without a word, she yanked her hands free from the guys holding her.
Their eyes widened in surprise as they stumbled back.
One of the followers rushed toward her, but Su Jiyai ducked under his punch and slammed her fist into his gut, sending him flying backward.
He crashed into a pile of crates, groaning in pain.
Another guy came at her with a knife, but Su Jiyai easily dodged it, grabbed his wrist, and twisted it.
The knife clattered to the ground as he yelled in pain.
Su Jiyai kicked him in the chest, and he flew back, hitting the wall hard.
The leader watched, anger flashing in his eyes.
“Enough of this!” he shouted. “Transform!”
The leader’s shout echoed through the alley as his followers started to change. Their bodies twisted and grew, bones cracking and reshaping.
The guy who’d rushed Su Jiyai before turned into a massive crocodile, his skin rough and scaly, with sharp teeth snapping in the air.
Another follower transformed into a huge wolf, his eyes glowing yellow and claws extended.
The third guy became a snake, his body stretching out long, hissing with venom dripping from his fangs.
The last one—maybe the weirdest—became some kind of land octopus, with thick, slimy tentacles slithering across the ground.

Su Jiyai didn’t flinch. Instead, she crossed her arms and looked at them like they were nothing but a bunch of kids playing dress-up.
“This is it? Really?” she said, shaking her head. “You guys think turning into animals will help you?”
The crocodile guy snapped his jaws and lunged at her first, but Su Jiyai sidestepped him like it was no big deal.
As he came charging again, she swiftly spun around, her fist coated in flames, and punched him right on the snout.
There was a loud crack, and the crocodile crashed into the ground, writhing in pain.
The wolf followed up, growling and slashing at her with his claws, but Su Jiyai was too fast.
She ducked, then flipped backward, landing gracefully a few feet away.
The wolf rushed in again, but this time, Su Jiyai unleashed a wave of fire from her palm.
The flames wrapped around the wolf like a fiery cage, and with a pained yelp, he collapsed, smoke rising from his singed fur.
The snake slithered in next, trying to wrap itself around her legs. Su Jiyai smirked and jumped into the air, avoiding its coil.
As she came back down, she stomped on its head, the force of her Qi making the ground beneath them tremble.
The snake hissed and tried to strike back, but Su Jiyai summoned more fire, burning through its scales and sending it slinking away in defeat.
Now, it was just her and the land octopus.
Its slimy tentacles shot out, trying to grab her. But Su Jiyai wasn’t having it.
She grabbed one of the tentacles with both hands and, with a loud grunt, pulled the octopus off the ground.
With a powerful swing, she slammed it into the side of a building, leaving cracks in the wall.
The octopus tried to fight back, but Su Jiyai’s fire-coated fists pummeled it, burning through its slimy body until it was nothing but a heap on the ground.
Su Jiyai dusted off her hands and looked at the mess of defeated beastmen around her.
“That was way too easy,” she muttered, turning her back on them.
The leader, who had stayed out of the fight so far, stood frozen in shock, his eyes wide with disbelief. He had watched his crew get completely wiped out in seconds.
“You… you monster!” he yelled, his voice shaking.
“Thank you for the compliment.” Su Jiyai smiled. “Now when are you going to make me a fake ID?”
“F-Fake ID?” he stammered, trying to keep his voice steady, but failing miserably. “You—you beat up my guys for a fake ID?”
Su Jiyai raised an eyebrow, her arms crossed.
“What else did you think I came here for? Tea and cookies?” She tilted her head, her tone as casual as if she was discussing the weather.
“Now, stop wasting my time. Make the ID.”
The leader’s mouth opened and closed like a fish gasping for air. He looked at his fallen gang, then back at Su Jiyai.
There was no way he could win this. Not after seeing what she just did to his men.
“O-Okay,” he said, raising his hands in surrender. “I’ll get it for you. Just… don’t hurt me.”
Su Jiyai smiled. “Good. That’s the smartest thing you’ve said all day.”
The leader scrambled over to a nearby bag and fumbled with it, pulling out a small device.
His hands shook as he tapped a few buttons, and after a few minutes, a shiny fake ID card popped out of the machine.
“Here!” he said, holding it out like it was a peace offering. “This should work. It’s the best quality.”
Su Jiyai took the ID and inspected it, nodding in approval. “Not bad.” She gave him a small grin.
“See? Wasn’t that easy? Now, try not to cause trouble for others, or next time, I won’t be as nice.”
The leader nodded so fast it looked like his head might fall off.
“Y-Yes! Of course! No more trouble! I swear!”
Satisfied, Su Jiyai turned and walked away, tucking the fake ID into her pocket.
Behind her, the leader collapsed to the ground, breathing heavily, grateful to still be in one piece.
As she disappeared into the distance, the leader whispered to himself,
“What kind of monster did I just mess with…?”
Su Jiyai found a secluded ally and wore the veil. She turned on the disguising function and transformed into the man in the fake ID.
“Okay…now that I have gained an ID, let’s get this done.”
She tapped her wristband, bringing up a holographic screen.
“Auxiliary AI,” she said. “Find me the nearest Gladiator arena.”
The AI responded in a calm voice, “Searching for nearby Gladiator arenas…”
A few moments later, the AI chimed,
“Gladiator arena located. It’s just 2.5 kilometers west of your current location. Would you like directions?”
“Yes,” Su Jiyai answered. The AI immediately projected a path on the screen, showing her the way.
“Alright, let’s go.” She set off, walking down the busy streets of the interstellar city.
After a short walk, she reached the Gladiator arena.
It was massive, with glowing signs flashing the names of current champions and upcoming battles.
The building itself looked like a mix of high-tech metal and stone, with huge screens outside showing clips of fierce fighters in action.
Su Jiyai approached the entrance, where a guard stood, checking IDs.
She confidently handed over her fake ID.
The guard scanned it, gave her a quick glance, then nodded and handed it back.
“You’re good to go. Head to the registration desk inside.”
She entered the arena and found the registration desk.
The woman behind it barely looked up as she tapped on a holographic keyboard.
“Name?” the woman asked.
Su Jiyai glanced at her fake ID. “Ragnar,” she said, trying to sound convincing.
The woman nodded and continued typing.
“Alright, Ragnar. You’re now registered. Good luck in the arena.”
As she stepped further into the arena, the loud roars of the crowd hit her ears.
Massive screens showed clips of fights from the past, gladiators battling it out with fierce moves and incredible powers.
Some even had strange abilities—one guy shot ice from his hands, another had blades coming out of his arms.
“Hey, new guy!” someone shouted from behind her.
She turned to see a big guy, probably twice her size, heading her way.
He had muscles on muscles and carried a massive axe slung over his shoulder.
“You must be the rookie they just signed up,” he said, grinning like he was looking forward to smashing her to pieces.
“You don’t look like much. Hope you last at least a minute out there.”
Su Jiyai, staying in character as Ragnar, shrugged. “We’ll see.”
