Chapter 425: Chapter 425: Ragnar
Soon it was Su Jiyai’s turn. She stepped into the ring, still disguised as Ragnar, her thin frame making the audience burst into chuckles and whispers.
The crowd looked at her weak body, and many assumed this fight would be over in seconds.
People in the audience were already yawning and muttering among themselves, some even considering taking a break because, to them, this was just a waste of time.
“Look at that! Is he even going to last a minute?” one guy asked his friend, laughing.
“That skinny guy’s about to get flattened!” another called out.
The big guy from earlier, the one who had spoken to her before, grinned widely as he walked into the ring.
He was twice her size, muscles bulging under his armor, carrying a giant axe over his shoulder.
He looked down at Su Jiyai and chuckled.
“I’ll try not to kill you, little guy,” he said mockingly. “I don’t wanna be too harsh.”
Su Jiyai, calm as ever, just glanced up at him with cold eyes, her voice steady. “You should worry about yourself.”
The big guy wasn’t even angry. He just laughed even harder, finding the whole thing amusing.
“Oh, I like you, little guy. Full of confidence. But it won’t save you.”
In the audience, people started betting, and most of them put their money on the big guy.
The odds were high and it seemed like a guaranteed win. Meanwhile, there was one little boy in the crowd who had a different idea.
He bet on Su Jiyai, or rather, on Ragnar, and the people around him couldn’t help but laugh.
“What are you, crazy?” one gambler asked, slapping his knee.
“Why would you put your money on that skinny twig? You’re gonna lose everything!”
The little boy looked nervous, but he shook his head firmly. “I just… I have a feeling. The odds are really low for Ragnar. But I know he’ll win.”
The crowd around him laughed even louder, shaking their heads.
“You’re dreaming, kid! That guy’s done for!”
But the boy just pursed his lips, determined. He knew something was different about Ragnar, even if no one else could see it.
The big guy in the ring cracked his knuckles and smirked.
“Alright, little guy, let’s get this over with. Don’t blink, or you might miss your chance to say goodbye.”
The fight began, and the big guy immediately rushed at Su Jiyai, hoping to either push her out of the ring with brute force or flip her on the ground in one quick motion.
His heavy steps pounded on the floor as he charged straight toward her like a bull.
In the stands, the crowd was already starting to lose interest, their eyes wandering.
“This isn’t even gonna be a fight,” someone muttered. “He’s gonna knock that guy out in two seconds.”
A few people were already standing up, stretching, ready to go grab a snack or take a bathroom break.
Others leaned back in their seats, closing their eyes for a quick nap.
But the little boy who had bet on Su Jiyai stared intently at the ring, his hands clenched tightly.

He whispered to himself,
“Come on, Ragnar. I know you can do it…”
Just as the big guy was about to slam into her, Su Jiyai moved.
She didn’t just dodge.
She moved with such speed and grace that it was like the wind itself was on her side. In one fluid motion, she sidestepped his attack, her movements quick and precise, her feet barely touching the ground.
The big guy blinked, confused for a second. “What the—?”
Before he could react, Su Jiyai counterattacked.
With a swift spin, she gathered her Qi, letting her power flow through her body, and then she struck.
Her fist, now coated in flames, slammed right into the big guy’s chest.
The audience, who had been bored just a second ago, gasped.
The flames erupted, the impact sending the big guy staggering back, his eyes wide in shock.
“What—what is this?!” someone in the crowd shouted.
“No way!” another voice called out. “That little guy can use flames? Where did that come from?”
The little boy grinned from ear to ear. “I knew it! I knew he was different!”
The fight continued, with the big guy trying desperately to land a hit on Su Jiyai, but she was too fast, too skilled.
Her level 4 martial arts, combined with her fire superpower and Qi cultivation, made her unstoppable.
With one final move, Su Jiyai dodged another wild swing from the big guy, and then, using her full strength, she launched a powerful kick that sent him flying across the ring.
He crashed into the ground with a thud, his axe slipping from his hands.
The crowd was silent for a moment, staring in shock at the defeated fighter lying on the ground.
Then, all at once, they erupted into cheers.
“Did you see that?!”
“Unbelievable!”
The crowd was still reeling from what they had just witnessed.
The big guy, who had been so sure of himself, now lay crumpled on the ground, completely knocked out.
A stunned silence fell over the stadium, only broken by a few gasps and muttered exclamations.
“No way… That skinny guy won?”
“How did that happen?!”
The little boy who had bet on Su Jiyai—still in disguise as Ragnar—was practically bouncing in his seat.
His eyes shone with excitement as he looked around at the disbelieving faces around him.
“I told you! I told you he would win!” he shouted, his voice high-pitched with joy.
The gamblers who had laughed at him earlier stared at him, their mouths hanging open, unable to comprehend what they had just witnessed.
As the big guy was carried out of the ring, people in the audience started murmuring amongst themselves, many still unable to believe that the seemingly frail “Ragnar” had not only survived but completely dominated the fight.
“It must’ve been a fluke,” one man muttered, shaking his head.
“There’s no way that twig can pull something like that again.”
“Yeah, just beginner’s luck,” another agreed. “Wait till the next round. He’ll get knocked out for sure.”
The next opponent—a much leaner but faster-looking fighter—stepped into the ring with a cocky grin, thinking he could easily outmatch Su Jiyai.
The crowd’s mood shifted once again, with people betting more cautiously this time. Some even hesitated, remembering what had happened in the last round.
Still, the odds were stacked against Su Jiyai. Most assumed her victory was a lucky break.
As soon as the fight started, the new opponent lunged at her, moving faster than the big guy from before.
But once again, Su Jiyai dodged with ease, her movements fluid and precise.
The audience, who had expected the leaner fighter to gain the upper hand, began to shift uncomfortably in their seats.
“Did… did he just dodge again?” one person mumbled in disbelief.
“How’s he moving so fast?” another questioned, eyes wide.
Each time the fighter tried to land a blow, Su Jiyai avoided it with seemingly no effort at all.
A few gasps rippled through the crowd as she weaved through the attacks, her face calm and composed.
“He’s not even breaking a sweat,” someone whispered, clearly in awe.
The fighter became frustrated, his strikes growing wilder, more desperate.
But Su Jiyai remained untouchable, slipping out of his reach with every attempt.
The tension in the crowd grew thicker, their disbelief slowly turning into astonishment.
“Is this guy for real?!” a voice rang out.
“No way… There’s no way a skinny kid like that could be so fast,” someone else added.
The little boy who had bet on Su Jiyai could hardly contain his excitement.
His grin stretched from ear to ear as he watched the people around him react.
“You see that?! He’s gonna win again!” the boy cried, practically bouncing in his seat.
By now, the crowd was fully invested.
The fight was no longer about proving who was stronger—it was about understanding how “Ragnar” kept defying their expectations.
As Su Jiyai finally moved in to strike, landing a clean, quick blow that sent her opponent stumbling back, the audience collectively gasped.
It wasn’t a flashy move—there were no flames this time, no grand display of power—but the precision with which she fought left everyone stunned.
“Did you see that?! It was like one hit!”
The opponent crumbled to the ground, clearly defeated, and once again, the arena fell into a shocked silence.
This time, no one moved. No one yawned or looked away. All eyes were glued to the ring, trying to process what they had just seen.
“He… he did it again,” someone finally breathed out.
“Unbelievable…” another murmured, rubbing his eyes as if to make sure he wasn’t dreaming.
One by one, the audience members who had been so sure of Su Jiyai’s defeat began to whisper amongst themselves, the excitement building as they realized that perhaps this “Ragnar” wasn’t just a lucky fighter after all.
“Maybe this guy’s the real deal,” one of the gamblers muttered, looking down at the money he had lost in disbelief.
