Chapter 426: Chapter 426: Reward
The fights continued and soon Su Jiyai reached the finals. At this point, she had transformed from a nobody to a dark horse.
The audience kept on sighing,
“Who would have thought that I would see a rising star today?”
“This guy is truly strong. His physical strength is on par with Apollo! Not to mention, he also has fire powers!”
“Yeah, I think he might have a chance to draw the match against Apollo.”
At the last guy’s words, most of the audience laughed,
“Let’s be realistic, even if this guy is the dark horse, there are many dark horses every month. However, none of them were able to defeat Apollo. He has a strong hold on the first rank.”
The announcer’s voice boomed over the speakers, adding to the mounting tension in the arena.
“Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the finals! In the left corner, we have Apollo, undefeated for five years and the current champion!
And in the right corner, we have Ragnar, a true dark horse who has defied all odds to get here!”
The crowd went wild as Apollo flexed his muscles and stood tall, his presence alone intimidating.
“I don’t care who you are,” Apollo boomed, his voice deep and thunderous. “This ends here. I will show you why I’m the champion.”
The bell rang, signaling the start of the match.
Apollo wasted no time, charging toward Su Jiyai with the speed of a freight train, his fists ready to land a crushing blow.
The crowd held its breath, waiting for the inevitable impact.
But once again, Su Jiyai moved with remarkable speed, her feet barely touching the ground as she sidestepped Apollo’s attack.
“Did you see that?” someone gasped. “Apollo didn’t even land a hit!”
A few people began to murmur in disbelief.
“He’s faster than he looks,” a voice murmured. “He’s dodging Apollo’s attacks like it’s nothing.”
Apollo was irritated and continued to throw punches at Su Jiyai.
Soon 10 minutes passed yet the match seemed to be at an impasse.
“Come on, just stand still!” Apollo roared, swinging his fists in rapid succession.
As Apollo’s swings slowed due to exhaustion, Su Jiyai saw her chance.
She lunged forward, striking with a speed and force that had the entire arena gasping.
Her fist, glowing with fire, landed square in the center of Apollo’s chest.
For the first time in the match, Apollo staggered backward, stunned.
His breath hitched as the fire from Su Jiyai’s punch seared into his skin, and his once-unshakable confidence wavered.
The audience was in shock.
“No… way,” someone whispered, barely able to believe what they had just seen.
“You saw that, right?” another person asked. “He actually hurt Apollo!”

Su Jiyai didn’t give him the chance to recover. She moved in, this time with a fluid and graceful kick that caught Apollo off guard.
He collapsed to the ground with a resounding thud, his armor clattering beside him.
A stunned silence fell over the crowd. Not a single person moved. The atmosphere was thick with disbelief, and for a long moment, no one said a word.
Then, as if a dam had broken, the arena erupted into cheers and gasps of astonishment.
“Unbelievable!” someone shouted.
“Ragnar did it! He actually beat Apollo!”
“How?! How did that happen?!”
The announcer’s voice rang out, breaking the deafening silence.
“Ladies and gentlemen, we have witnessed history today!” he bellowed, his voice trembling with excitement.
“For the first time in five years, Apollo has been defeated!”
The crowd erupted into wild applause, their previous doubts and laughter replaced with awe and disbelief. People stood from their seats, chanting Su Jiyai’s alias,
“Ragnar! Ragnar! Ragnar!”
Su Jiyai ignored the calls. For her fame didn’t matter. She was there for money in the first place.
After her win, she was led to a reception area, where she was awarded 10 million federal coins and a pass to travel anywhere for free for the next 1 week.
Su Jiyai smiled.
The ticket price to Tartarus Planet was only around 40,000 federal coins.
Without hesitation, she booked a ticket.
The spacecraft was scheduled 2 days later, so Su Jiyai decided to explore the market and see if there was anything useful.
Su Jiyai strolled through the market, her eyes scanning the stalls filled with all sorts of things—some familiar, some completely strange.
The first stand she passed had weapons—blades, guns, and even some strange tools she couldn’t recognize.
One of them was small and round, about the size of her palm, with a button on top.
“What’s this?” Su Jiyai asked.
The vendor grinned. “Ah, that’s a portable shield generator. Press the button, and it’ll create a protective barrier around you. It only lasts for 10 minutes, but it could save your life.”
“How much?” Su Jiyai asked.
“100,000 federal coins,” the vendor said.
Su Jiyai thought for a second.
“I’ll take one,” she said, handing over the money.
Since she didn’t have a bank account, she could only place the money in her storage ring.
Just as she was strolling around, a woman bumped into her. She apologized and continued to walk.
Only after 10 steps, she heard a commotion behind her.
Turns out the woman who had bumped into her had fallen on the ground.
Su Jiyai frowned and turned to check on the woman. As she got closer, the woman winced dramatically, clutching her arm.
“You! You’re too strong! Look what you did!” the woman cried out, her voice shaky. She held up her arm, showing a slight bruise. “I think my hand is dislocated now!”
The people around started to gather, their faces showing concern.
“Are you okay?” one passerby asked the woman, who nodded weakly, tears forming in her eyes.
“He—bumped into me, and now my arm is all messed up!” the woman sobbed, looking at Su Jiyai with accusing eyes.
Su Jiyai was stunned. Seriously?
She hadn’t even used any real strength. But before she could respond, someone from the crowd chimed in.
“That’s not right. You shouldn’t hurt people like that!” a man said, glaring at Su Jiyai.
“Yeah! Look at her arm! It’s bruised!” another person added.
Su Jiyai sighed inwardly.
This woman was obviously trying to gain sympathy.
Her “bruise” looked more like a light bump, and there was no way her hand was dislocated from such a soft touch.
But the crowd was already siding with the woman.
“I didn’t mean to hurt you,” Su Jiyai said, trying to sound calm. “It was an accident.”
“Accident?!” the woman cried, holding her arm more dramatically. “I can’t believe someone could be this careless! You need to pay for this!”
“Yeah, pay for her treatment!” a voice shouted from the crowd, and several others murmured in agreement.
Suppressing the urge to roll her eyes Su Jiyai asked,
“How much do you want?”
“Not much just 1 million federal coins.” The woman said confidently.
Su Jiyai’s eyes narrowed. One million federal coins? This woman was clearly trying to scam her.
“One million? For a tiny bruise?” Su Jiyai crossed her arms, staring at the woman.
The woman, still clutching her arm dramatically, nodded, “Yes! I need proper treatment! And… and I’ll need rest too!”
The crowd was getting restless, a few murmurs of agreement rising.
Su Jiyai sighed. She didn’t want to cause a scene, but paying this ridiculous amount wasn’t happening.
“How about this? I’ll take you to the hospital myself. That way, you’ll get the treatment you need, and we can settle this.”
The woman’s eyes darted nervously. She hadn’t expected Su Jiyai to offer to go with her. “Uh… no, no, no. That’s not necessary! Just give me the money.”
The crowd started to quiet down as some people began to catch on to the woman’s act. A few whispers could be heard:
“Wait, why doesn’t she want to go with him to the healer?”
“Yeah, something’s fishy…”
Su Jiyai smirked, knowing she had turned the situation around. “So, are we going or not? I don’t have all day.”
The woman still acted stubbornly and said,
“Alright! Just give 100,000 federal coins and I will go away.”
This time the passerby remained silent feeling the demand wasn’t as outrageous as it was before.
Su Jiyai raised an eyebrow, her patience wearing thin. “100,000 federal coins? You just said a million earlier.”
The scamming lady’s face flushed, realizing she’d been caught in her lie. “I-I was just… I mean, it was a mistake! 100,000 is fair!”
Just as they were arguing, a voice interrupted their conversation,
“Do you need help? I have a medicinal robot with me!”
Su Jiyai turned toward the source of the sound and found a woman who had blue hair, fair skin, a heart shaped face, and beautiful blue eyes.
The woman held up a small, floating robot that beeped softly as if ready to help.
The scamming lady’s face paled.
“Uh, no, no! That won’t be necessary!” she quickly said, waving her hands as if she didn’t want the robot anywhere near her.
The woman crossed her arms, smirking.
“Oh, come on, you said you were hurt. Let’s get you treated for real.”
