Chapter 428: Chapter 428: Smart Appliances
Su Jiyai blinked in surprise as she processed the information from the auxiliary AI. No real food? Just pills?
“Wow,” she muttered under her breath.
Then, suddenly her eyes brightened, and she asked the Ai,
“How about this? I can make dishes and sell them here for a high price. In that way, it would be pretty easy for me to…”
However, before she could continue, the AI stopped her,
[You can’t. It will affect the trajectory of this dimension.] The auxiliary AI warned her.
Iris, who had been quietly observing her, raised an eyebrow. “What’s on your mind, Ragnar?”
Su Jiyai shrugged casually, trying to shake off the thought.
“Nothing.”
They continued to chat, and just when the dinner was about to finish, Iris asked,
“Ragnar, have you ever thought of tutoring others in combat training?”
Su Jiyai smirked inwardly, finally, the fox had shown her tail.
Yet she maintained a calm face outwardly,
“Combat training, huh?” she said, tilting her head. “Why do you ask? You think I should start a class or something?”
Iris chuckled, but there was a serious tone under her laughter.
“Not exactly. But I’ve seen how you fight. You’re sharp, skilled, and quick to adapt. That kind of talent… doesn’t just come out of nowhere. It would be valuable to certain people.”
Su Jiyai raised an eyebrow, pretending to think about it.
She already knew Iris was leading up to something, but she wanted to see how far the blue-haired woman would go.
“Interesting offer,” Su Jiyai said, taking a sip of the water.
“But I’m not sure I’m cut out for teaching.”
Iris leaned forward, her eyes sparkling.
“Not teaching just anyone, though. I am talking about teaching me, and in return, I can give you a lot of money.”
Since Iris had thrown out her cards, Su Jiyai decided to tell about her demands too,
“Enough to buy that medical nanobot?”
Su Jiyai pointed to the nanobot lying on the table.
Iris chuckled softly, a knowing gleam in her eyes.
“Do you even know the price of that medical nanobot, Ragnar?”
Su Jiyai shook her head, a little unsure but keeping her calm face on.
“It’s worth 1 billion federal coins,” Iris said with a grin.
Su Jiyai went silent instantly. A billion federal coins? That was outrageous.

Her demand must have sounded crazy now, but she needed those nanobots for her world.
She stared down at the table, deep in thought.
Seeing her quiet, Iris leaned forward a bit and said,
“Tell you what. I’ll let you have the nanobot, but in exchange, you’ll need to teach me martial arts, show me how to control the fire superpower like you, and… one more thing.”
Su Jiyai raised an eyebrow. “What else?”
“You’ll need to collect three herbs for me,” Iris said casually.
Su Jiyai frowned, feeling a bit troubled. “I’m heading to Tartarus Planet tomorrow. That might be a problem.”
Iris clapped her hands together, her eyes lighting up with excitement.
“Perfect! That makes it even easier for you! All three herbs are found on Tartarus Planet. You can get them while you’re there.”
Su Jiyai was about to protest, but she stopped herself.
If the herbs were on Tartarus Planet, she could kill two birds with one stone. Still, she needed more details before agreeing.
“Okay, but I need all the information about these herbs and the dangers I might face,” Su Jiyai said firmly.
Iris smiled and nodded. “Of course. I’ll give you everything you need.”
Then, Iris extended her hand, and Su Jiyai noticed the strange metal band on her wrist.
She stared at it, confused, wondering what it was. Iris noticed her confusion but didn’t say anything.
Instead, the auxiliary AI in Su Jiyai’s head spoke up.
[It’s a life band, Su Jiyai. Every citizen in this era wears one. It’s mandatory. I’ve placed a similar band in your pocket.]
Su Jiyai blinked in surprise but kept her face neutral.
She quickly reached into her pocket and pulled out the metal band. It looked exactly like the one on Iris’s wrist.
[All you have to do is let her touch her band to yours, and the information will be transferred to me], the AI continued.
Su Jiyai nodded inwardly and raised the band. Iris smiled and clinked her band against Su Jiyai’s.
There was a soft beep, and Su Jiyai felt a slight buzz in her mind as the information about the herbs flowed into her auxiliary AI.
It only took a second, and then it was done.
Iris leaned back with a satisfied smile.
“There you go. Everything you need to know is in there. I’ll be expecting those herbs soon, Ragnar.”
Su Jiyai nodded, her mind still buzzing with the new info. “I’ll get them for you.”
Iris also exchanged contact details with Su Jiyai and asked for hers.
The auxiliary ai gave its number to Su Jiyai and asked her to pass it to Iris.
“But she will know that I am fake once she dials the number.” Su Jiyai muttered with a distressed expression.
[Don’t worry, I hold the rights to this number, and once she calls, you can receive it through me.]
Su Jiyai was surprised before feeling joyful.
“Alright, now that everything has been discussed, I will take my leave.”
With that, Iris stood up, her blue hair swaying as she moved.
“Good luck, Ragnar. I’m looking forward to our training sessions.”
After she left, the auxiliary AI asked,
[Don’t we already have healers in our world? Why do you need these nanobots?]
Su Jiyai answered,
“Healers are great, but they can’t solve everything. The birth rate in my world is dropping because of the harshness of the environment and also because we don’t have enough advanced medical technology. Nanobots like these could help fix things that healers can’t.”
[Hmm, I see], the AI responded thoughtfully. [But do you really think those nanobots will make that much of a difference?]
Su Jiyai nodded, determined.
“Yes. In a world like mine, where people are constantly injured or dying from fights, zombies, or just the environment itself, we need every advantage we can get. These nanobots could change the future for us.”
The AI was silent for a moment before it spoke again.
[But collecting those herbs won’t be easy.]
“I know.” Su Jiyai said.
“But I don’t have a choice. Nanobots aren’t the only thing I want. Do you know that while I was in the arena, I heard of a unique thing called preservation capsules?
Yeah, preservation capsules. People use them to store bodies or anything valuable for a long time without letting them rot or go bad. Imagine if I could get my hands on one of those!
Then I can carry herbs of this world to my world.”
[You can do it with a storage ring, too.]
Su Jiyai shook her head,
“Storage ring could indeed preserve things, but the main problem comes when I ask the system to multiply it.
I return to my world within 4 minutes of using the portal, but the vegetables or herbs inside the storage ring had already gone through hundreds of light years.
But with preservation capsules, I can store them as if time stopped. I can even ask the system to use. It may be futile, but it is worth trying.”
[That does sound useful], the AI agreed. [But getting your hands on one of those capsules might not be easy either.]
“I know,” Su Jiyai said, running a hand through her hair.
“But I’ve come this far, right? I’ll figure something out.”
The AI stayed quiet for a moment before responding.
[You’ve definitely got a lot on your plate. Just be careful.]
Su Jiyai found a random hotel and rented a room.
However, the appliances were so useful and different that Su Jiyai fell in love with them instantly.
First, she noticed the instant shower pod.
She stepped inside, pressed a button, and instead of regular water, a mist surrounded her, cleaning her from head to toe in under a minute.
When she stepped out, her skin felt soft and refreshed.
Next, she tried the gravity bed.
The bed hovered slightly above the floor, and when she lay on it, she felt like she was floating on a cloud.
It adjusted automatically to her body, making her feel weightless and super comfortable.
“This… this is amazing!” she said, closing her eyes and relaxing for a bit.
Even the mirror in the room wasn’t just for reflection.
When she stood in front of it, the mirror gave her a full-body scan and recommended different outfits based on her body shape and preferences.
Su Jiyai shook her head, amazed by the technology in this place.
“Wow, if only I could bring some of this stuff back to my world,” she muttered to herself.
Then her eyes brightened, and she decided to find a way to get all these appliances for her world before leaving.
She had 2 months, and she could easily earn enough money to buy all of these appliances.
