Chapter 444: Chapter 444: Antidote
“Let’s negotiate. I will accept all of your conditions except for the antidote scrolls. I can at most give three scrolls.” The Admin said.

Su Jiyai raised one eyebrow and tapped her finger against her arm slowly, like she was thinking it over.

“Only three?” she said in a calm voice. “That’s not even half.”

The Admin sounded annoyed again. “Three is already a big deal. Do you know how rare those scrolls are?”

Su Jiyai shrugged. “Do you know how rare my farming space is?”

The Admin went quiet for a second.

Su Jiyai crossed her arms and leaned back against the tree again.

“Look, you said it yourself—Leticia is super important. She’s been reborn four times and did all those amazing things.

If she’s really the key to saving the interstellar era, then you should give me what I asked for. That’s just basic logic.”

“But—” the Admin started.

“No buts,” Su Jiyai cut him off. “You guys messed up her last life, right? So the least you can do is pay properly this time.”

The Admin sighed again. It was the kind of sigh someone makes when they know they’re losing an argument.

[Host… maybe you should ask for something else too? Like a protective talisman or a rare skill?] the system whispered nervously.

Su Jiyai chuckled under her breath. “No need to get greedy,” she whispered back.

Then she looked up at the sky and spoke louder,

“Fine. Final offer. I’ll lower the scroll count to five. Not three. Five. Take it or leave it.”

“Four,” the Admin grumbled.

Su Jiyai raised both eyebrows. “Four and a life saving device.”

The Admin muttered something that sounded like “unbelievable” under his breath.

Then, finally, he gave in.

“…Fine. Four antidote scrolls and life-saving talisman. But you better keep your word.”

Su Jiyai smiled sweetly. “Deal.”

A second later, her system dinged in excitement.

[Ding! You have received: – 1 Life Saving Talisman(Advanced Tier)– 4 Zombie Antidote Scrolls– Leticia’s Hybrid Seed Research Notes– Encyclopedia of Civilization Development (From Primitive to Advanced)Please check your inventory to confirm.]

[Host, you actually did it…! This is so much stuff!!] the system squealed.

“I told you,” Su Jiyai said, sounding proud. “If they want something from me, they better pay the right price.”

The Admin urged,

“Now that you have got the goods, be ready to get your space extracted.”

Su Jiyai stood still under the tree, her arms at her sides, and took a deep breath.

“Okay. Let’s do it,” she said quietly.

CRACK!

A sharp pain hit her chest, like lightning striking from the inside. Su Jiyai gasped, her hands grabbing her shirt as if that would stop the pain.

“Aaagh…!” she groaned, falling to her knees.

[Host!!] the system cried out. [Are you okay?!]

“It… hurts…” Su Jiyai said through clenched teeth.

The Admin’s voice came in, cold and calm.

“The extraction process is painful. Endure it.”

The ground under her shimmered, and her body started glowing a soft golden light. Her farming space, which had always been deep inside her soul, was being pulled out.

It felt like someone was ripping a part of her heart away.

Sweat dripped down her forehead. Her hands trembled.

Even the system was shaking in her head.

[Admin, is there any pain reliever? Please can you lend it.]

“No, there isn’t any pain reliever for this process.] The Admin’s cold voice sounded.

[Host, hold on! I’m here with you!]

“I’m… not dying again…” Su Jiyai whispered.

She gritted her teeth, her eyes shining with stubborn fire.

Then, in the air above her chest, a glowing ball of green and gold light slowly formed. It looked beautiful, like a tiny floating planet with clouds and sparkles around it.

The Admin spoke again.

“This is your farming space. It’s been separated from your soul. Now it will be sealed into a container.”

The floating space shrank smaller and smaller until it finally dropped into a small silver necklace that hovered in front of her.

The necklace had a glass bead in the middle, and inside the bead, a little farm could be seen—tiny trees, crops, rivers, even a warm-looking little house.

However, it looked like a picture rather than an actual living space.

Su Jiyai fell on the ground and took deep breaths, her clothes soaked in sweat.

She stared up at the necklace floating above her.

“So this is it,” she mumbled.

The Admin’s voice returned.

“Give it to Leticia. And don’t tell her the activation process. The fate would decide the right for her to open it.”

Su Jiyai reached out and grabbed the necklace. It was warm to the touch, like it still carried a heartbeat.

She held it close to her chest and nodded.

“Alright,” she said softly. “I’ll give it to her.”

“I am disconnecting now. If you want to know anything, never connect with me. Anyways, with your broken system and your broken intelligence, you are doomed to fail. I will find a different core stabilizer for your world.” The Admin said in a disdainful voice.

Su Jiyai chuckled,

“Don’t worry. I will make sure to complete all the missions with passing colors and slap your face.”

The Admin didn’t reply. Just like that, his cold voice disappeared, and the strange heaviness in the air faded away.

Su Jiyai sat there on the ground for a while, still breathing hard. Her whole body ached like she had just been crushed under a truck, then run over again.

[Host… are you really okay?] the system asked softly.

Su Jiyai looked down at her shaking hands and gave a weak smile.

“I’m still alive,” she muttered. “So I guess I’m fine.”

[That Admin was such a jerk! Saying you have broken intelligence—he doesn’t even know how awesome you are!]

“That is no important right. The most important question is how much loan do you own?” Su Jiyai asked.

[Ah… that’s not much.] The system sounded sheepish.

“I am asking you a question.” Su Jiyai repeated.

[Just….1000 billion points.] The system said.

“What?” Su Jiyai felt as if her ears were ringing.

[Uhh… yeah, but don’t worry! I got a super good interest plan! We only need to pay like a little bit every 1 year!] the system said, trying to sound cheerful.

Su Jiyai’s face twitched.

“You… you signed a thousand billion point loan behind my back?!”

[It wasn’t technically behind your back! I left a message in the system update notes! You just… never read them. Not to mention, this isn’t your loan. It is mine.]

Su Jiyai was moved.

The system took so much loan for her behalf and wasn’t asking her to repay.

However…

“I should have asked that b*stard Admin to waive off the loan.” Su Jiyai muttered. Taking a deep breath, she asked,

“How much have you paid off by now?”

[10 billion points. I am left with 990 billion points of loan.] The system replied.

Su Jiyai nodded,

“Don’t worry, I will help you to pay it off. But from now on, don’t hide anything.”

Just then light sound of footsteps made Su Jiyai pause.

Turning around, she saw Leticia coming out of a tent.

The girl looked fragile yet beautiful.

She carefully walked up to Su Jiyai and asked,

“Ragnar, why aren’t you sleeping?”

After knowing Leticia’s background, Su Jiyai felt admiration and pity for her.

She said in her mind,

“System copy all the information on plants and the ways to grow them. As well as a manual on how to use space and place it in the space.”

[Okay, host! But why are you being so kind to her? Shouldn’t you feel resentful? It was because of her that you lost your space.]

Su Jiyai understood what the system meant.

After all, it may seem that Admin was just asking her to hand over the space, but in reality, it wouldn’t have left if Su Jiyai hadn’t handed over the space.

Hence, Su Jiyai argued for benefits so much.

“Resentful? Why would I be?”

[Host, without space, how can you grow vegetables easily? Huo Ning is the only one who can grow vegetables in your world…]

“Who said so?” Su Jiyai smirked.

[Eh? But…]

“Did you forget the fertile soil we got from the cultivation world? With Leticia’s note and the soil, growing vegetables won’t be a challenge.” Su Jiyai said with a chuckle.

[Host, you are genius!]

“No, this girl named Leticia is a good luck charm for me.” Su Jiyai said with a smile.

Leticia looked at Su Jiyai with worry in her big, soft eyes.

“You don’t look so good. Are you hurt?” she asked quietly.

Su Jiyai forced a smile and shook her head. “Nah. Just tired. Couldn’t sleep.”

Leticia tilted her head. “Want some warm tea? I found some herbs in the forest. They smell really calming.”

Su Jiyai blinked.

She was so gentle and kind. It made Su Jiyai’s heart feel a little tight.

“Sure,” Su Jiyai said after a moment. “Tea sounds nice.”
