Chapter 449: Chapter 449: Boyfriend
“So joining the alliance may not be beneficial?” Su Jiyai asked with a frown.
“No. There are many good people in the alliance, but they are overshadowed by some evil people. If the alliance could get rid of those evil people, annihilating all the zombies may not be a problem anymore.” Qin Feng explained.
Su Jiyai’s tail stiffened.
“What kind of evil people are in the alliance?” she asked. “Are there any leaders I should watch out for?”
Qin Feng nodded.
“There are five main leaders,” he said. “And trust me, each of them is tricky.”
He raised his fingers and started counting.
“First, General Dong. He’s strong, and most of the army listens to him. But he’s ruthless. He only sees strength. If he thinks you’re weak, he’ll throw you away.”
She knew about Dong Shin. He was the reason why she couldn’t get the military under her control.
“Second, Doctor Min. She’s the head scientist. Super smart, but cold. She once tested a poison on a hundred people… just to see if it worked.”
Su Jiyai’s eyes widened. “That’s insane…”
“Yeah,” Qin Feng said with a sigh. “Third, Governor Lei. He handles supplies and trade. Greedy man. Always thinking about money and profit.”
“Fourth, Admiral Ru. Controls all airships and transport. Acts friendly, but he has spies everywhere. Always watching.”
Su Jiyai’s little wolf ears twitched.
“And the last?”
Qin Feng’s face turned grim.
“Fifth is Jin Sang. No one knows his real background. But he’s a psychic. Can mess with people’s heads. He’s the most dangerous.”
Su Jiyai sat quietly for a moment.
She felt like she had just learned a whole pack of secrets.
Her fluffy tail slowly lowered as her thoughts ran wild.
“That sounds like a lot of trouble…” Su Jiyai mumbled, ears drooping.
Qin Feng nodded. “Exactly. If Boss Su joins the alliance, she’ll be stepping into a den of wolves.”
“Hey, don’t smear Wolf’s name! I am a wolf too!” Su Jiyai said, feeling a bit offended.
Qin Feng paused before chuckling.
“Yeah! Yeah, my bad.”
Su Jiyai gave a tiny growl of agreement. Then she jumped off the chair and paced in a circle, her little claws tapping on the floor.
“I don’t trust them,” she finally said.
“But to deal with all the zombies, I need to have allies.”
Qin Feng calmly said,

“Yeah, you do need allies. But not the kind who’ll stab you in the back the second you turn around.”
Su Jiyai stopped pacing and looked up at him. Her golden eyes were serious.
“So… what do I do then? Pretend to be their friend?”
“Something like that,” Qin Feng said with a shrug.
“Smile on the outside, but keep your claws sharp on the inside.”
Su Jiyai nodded slowly. That made sense.
“I’ll play nice,” she said, her tail swaying gently. “But I won’t let my guard down.”
“Good,” Qin Feng said.
“And don’t show them too much. Keep your real powers a secret. If they think you’re too strong, they’ll fear you. If they think you’re too weak, they’ll crush you.”
“Understood.” Su Jiyai nodded.
Then she sensed Qin Feng’s aura and her eyes widened in surprise,
“You broke through?”
Qin Feng smiled and nodded.
“Do you remember the deserted area where I took you?”
Su Jiyai nodded.
“After you left, I was about to leave when I sensed something strange underground,” Qin Feng said, scratching the back of his head.
Su Jiyai leaned in. “Strange? Like what?”
“There was a weird kind of energy. Really dark and heavy. But it also had… life. Like it was calling out to me,” he explained.
Su Jiyai’s eyes sparkled. “Whoa. Did you dig it up?”
Qin Feng chuckled. “Of course I did. I’m not gonna walk away from something cool like that.”
“And?” she asked, bouncing a little on her toes.
“There was a giant black crystal buried deep. It was cracked and leaking energy. When I touched it, boom! My body felt like it exploded. But in a good way.”
Su Jiyai’s jaw dropped. “You’re not cursed, right?”
“I don’t think so,” he said with a grin.
“It felt more like… like it helped me understand something. Like my powers had been waiting for this moment.”
Su Jiyai squinted at him. “So what level are you now?”
“Level 20. In all superpowers.” Qin Feng said.
Su Jiyai’s heart skipped a beat.
So does that mean Qin Feng and she were on the same level? Crazy!
‘God, if you are listening, give me such opportunities too!’ Su Jiyai thought.
Seeing her expression, Qin Feng understood what Su Jiyai was thinking and laughed,
“If I knew it could be used for breaking through, I would have save it for you.”
Su Jiyai pouted. “Too late now! You already soaked it all up like a sponge.”
Qin Feng rubbed the back of his neck, looking a little guilty. “Heh… yeah, sorry about that.”
She crossed her arms and huffed. “Next time you find a magic crystal, you better share.”
“I promise,” Qin Feng said with a smile. “Next time, you get first pick.”
Su Jiyai’s ears twitched happily. “Good! At least you know how to be fair.”
Then her tail flicked, and she looked curious again. “So… did your powers change? Like, did anything weird happen after the upgrade?”
Qin Feng nodded slowly. “Yeah, kinda.”
Then he thought of something and closed his eyes. The next second, a black round crystal appeared in his hand.
He opened his eyes and gave the crystal to Su Jiyai,
“Here, take this.”
Su Jiyai was surprised and placed her paws on the crystal.
“This is my superpower core.” Qin Feng
Su Jiyai’s eyes almost popped out of her head.
“Wait—WHAT?!” she yelped. “You’re giving me your superpower core?! Are you nuts?! And wait…isn’t superpower core located in the head?”
Qin Feng chuckled softly.
“It’s a small copy. If I ever die, all of my superpowers would be transferred to this crystal. You can then absorb it and gain all of my superpowers.
I can also transfer one of my superpowers to the crystal, and you can use it, as long as you hold the crystal.”
Su Jiyai frowned and shouted,
“Don’t talk nonsense! You won’t die!”
Qin Feng, seeing that her fur stood up, sighed and compromised,
“Okay! Okay! I won’t die!”
Su Jiyai stared at the black crystal like it were a bomb.
“I can use your power right now?” she asked, her voice squeaky.
Qin Feng nodded. “Yup. Just hold the crystal and say the power you want, as long as I have you can use it.”
Su Jiyai’s paws shook a little as she held it close.
“This is insane… Are you sure you wanna give this to me? What if I drop it? What if it breaks?”
“It won’t break. It’s tougher than steel,” Qin Feng said, grinning. “And yeah, I’m sure. I trust you.”
Su Jiyai’s cheeks puffed up.
“You’re seriously too nice! If I were evil, I could totally steal your powers right now.”
“I am not nice.” Qin Feng shook his head and looked at Su Jiyai with a serious expression, “You are my love Jiyai, and it’s only right for me to hand my everything to you.”
Su Jiyai’s heart skipped a beat, and suddenly she was filled with guilt.
Qin Feng had handed over everything he had to her.
While she…she didn’t even tell him about her real identity.
In a soft voice, Su Jiyai asked,
“You gave Sufeng base to me, all of your money to me, and even the zombie crystals you earn are handed to me…and now this crystal… meanwhile I…I didn’t give you anything, don’t you feel…that this is unfair?”
Qin Feng blinked, surprised by her sudden question. Then he smiled gently and reached out to pat her head.
“It’s not unfair,” he said. “Because you gave me the most important thing already.”
Su Jiyai tilted her head, confused. “Huh? What did I give you?”
“Your love.” Qin Feng said, his voice soft. “And that means more to me than anything else.”
Su Jiyai’s ears twitched. Her heart felt warm and fuzzy, like someone had poured hot cocoa into it.
“But I still feel bad,” she muttered, tail drooping a little. “I should give you something too…”
Qin Feng chuckled. “Alright then. If you really wanna give me something… how about this?”
He leaned closer, grinning like a little kid.
“Make me your official partner. Vow that you will only marry me!”
His eyes looked at her sincerely, and Su Jiyai only felt her heart beating rise. She nodded her head slowly.
Qin Feng was thrilled and scooped her in his arms. He gently hugged her and said,
“Jiyai, I love you. You are my everything. A year ago, I thought I had lost you and felt despair. Sometimes I even had thoughts of giving up everything and following you.
But I held on for revenge. Now I am thankful that I held on. Otherwise, I might never have had the chance to become your boyfriend.”
