Chapter 457: Chapter 457: Zi Anchen
Su Jiyai stayed silent for a second longer, then said gently,

“I’ll send someone tomorrow to make a list of who needs what. Just write it down. I’ll do my best.”

The leaders nodded quickly, as if they had just been handed a golden ticket.

Leader Pei held her hand again.

“Boss Su,” he said softly, “your kindness… it won’t be forgotten.”

She smiled at him and said, “Take care of your people. That’s what matters.”

After the meeting was over, Su Jiyai left with Qin Feng.

Once backing their RV, they exchanged glances and laughed.

Qin Feng looked at Su Jiyai and couldn’t help but praise her,

“You are indeed smart. At first, I thought they wouldn’t sign the contract, considering how smart they were, but you hit their weakness!”

Su Jiyai smiled.

“They don’t know about my spy, and thought I didn’t know about their plan, so of course they were confident.”

“Honestly, these spies are too sharp and smart.” Qin Feng said.

Su Jiyai only smiled.

At the beginning, she was at a disadvantage because she didn’t have enough spies on other bases.

But now? Now she could say that her spies were present everywhere.

The major help was still the spies she had planted near General Dong.

Turns out Admiral Ru’s plan was overheard by General Dong, who discussed it with his trusted subordinates.

To know everything, she even asked her spies near General Dong to keep an eye on Admiral Ru.

In this way, she was able to avoid suspicion.

“Are the food supplies stolen by them?” Qin Feng asked.

Su Jiyai smiled wickedly,

“Nope.”

It was with her. Who asked them not to trust her?

She had decided in her heart.

If Leader Pei had said even a single word in her defense, she would have handed all the supplies, but since he dared to remain silent and even subtly accuse her, she didn’t show mercy.

She wasn’t there to do charity in the first place.

“By the way…what is Devil’s Pawn? You had muttered about them after saying that you received a message from your spies.” Qin Feng asked.

Su Jiyai remembered. After reading the message Auxiliary AI had given her, Su Jiyai had muttered,

“So Admiral Ru is a Devil’s Pawn!”

At that time, Qin Feng had asked her the meaning, but she was too busy and didn’t reply.

“Devil’s Pawn…what I am going to say now, may come as a shock to you, but the reality is, the apocalypse we are facing right now…is because of entities…entities that live off fear and destruction.

That entity’s name is Diemos. Diemos has seven Devils under him, and each Devil has seven pawns. A total of 49 people, yet they are able to throw the entire world into chaos.

I have killed one of the pawns, and I suspect that Admiral Ru might be a Pawn or a Devil himself.”

Qin Feng blinked.

“Wait… wait… you’re telling me the whole apocalypse was made? Like on purpose? By weird monsters or something?”

Su Jiyai nodded seriously.

“They’re not exactly monsters. They used to be humans once, but something twisted them. Diemos is their boss.

He feeds on fear, pain, war… all the bad things in this world. The more people suffer, the stronger he gets.”

Qin Feng sat down slowly, looking stunned.

“That’s… insane. So the zombies, the collapse, the starvation… all of it…”

“Yep,” Su Jiyai said, crossing her arms. “It was planned. Step by step.”

Qin Feng rubbed his face like he was trying to wake up from a dream.

Even he who can remain calm in many situations felt like he wasn’t living in reality anymore.

He looked out the window of the RV, quiet for a second.

“Do you think Leader Pei could be one too?”

Su Jiyai shook her head. “No. He’s not evil. Just scared. Weak people don’t need to be pawns. They only need a little push to make mistakes.”

She leaned back in her seat, looking thoughtful.

“I’ll need more proof. But if Admiral Ru really is a Pawn… we have a big problem.”

Qin Feng suddenly asked.

“What happens if a Pawn gets exposed?”

He was planning to directly expose Admiral Ru and kill him off.

Su Jiyai smiled and asked,

“Simple, their followers would speak up on their behalf, or they will use their power to silence you or cover up.”

Qin Feng’s face darkened.

“So even if we show proof, people might still believe him?”

Su Jiyai nodded.

“Yeah. Pawns don’t just have power. They have influence, loyal dogs, and tricks up their sleeves.

That’s why we need to be smart. Careful. If we act too early, we’ll get crushed before anything starts.”

Qin Feng gritted his teeth. “Tch… I hate that. I hate people like that.”

Su Jiyai looked at him, her eyes calm but sharp.

“Good. Use that hate. But don’t rush. ”

Qin Feng clenched his fists, then slowly let go.

“…Alright. I’ll listen to you.”

Su Jiyai smiled and patted his shoulder.

“Good boy.”

Just as they were chatting, the door of their RV was knocked.

Qin Feng stood up when he heard the knock.

He gave Su Jiyai a quick glance, then walked to the door of the RV and opened it.

Standing there was a young man with neatly combed black hair, fair skin, and delicate features that looked like they came straight out of a painting.

His eyes were dark but gleaming, and his smile looked polite—but something about it made Qin Feng feel annoyed.

“Hello,” the young man said with a soft voice.

“I am Zi Anchen, leader of the Starlight Base. I’m here to speak with Boss Su… about something personal.”

Qin Feng didn’t move from the doorway. He stared at Zi Anchen with narrowed eyes.

“Anything related to the base should be discussed in the meeting room,” Qin Feng said coldly. “Boss Su is busy.”

Zi Anchen smiled again, this time with a strange glint in his eyes.

“Ah, but this matter is private. I would prefer to talk to Boss Su alone.”

Qin Feng’s jaw tightened.

He had only looked at this guy for a few seconds, but he already hated him.

The way Zi Anchen looked around the RV, trying to spot someone inside… the way his eyes sparkled when he mentioned

“Boss Su”… it was clear.

This guy had ideas. And not good ones.

Even though Su Jiyai was wearing her old woman disguise, Qin Feng could see what Zi Anchen was aiming for.

Zi Anchen wants to seduce Su Jiyai, right in front of him? Dream on!

Qin Feng’s fists clenched by his sides, but he stayed calm.

“Boss Su doesn’t meet anyone alone,” He said, voice low and cold.

“If you have something to say, say it at tomorrow’s base leaders meeting.”

Zi Anchen didn’t give up. He stepped forward, trying to look charming.

“I’m sure Boss Su will want to hear what I have to say. It’s about a proposal… one that could benefit both our bases.”

Qin Feng took a step forward, too, blocking the entrance completely.

“I said—she’s not available.”

Zi Anchen’s smile faltered for a second.

His eyes met Qin Feng’s, and for a moment, everything was silent.

They just stared at each other.

“It is alliance-related and I am sure Boss Su won’t want to miss out.” Zi Anchen repeated with a calm smile, but there was a twinkle in his eyes like he had already won.

Qin Feng didn’t like it, but he stepped aside just enough to let him in.

Su Jiyai looked at Zi Anchen with mild curiosity.

“What is it?” she asked.

But Zi Anchen didn’t reply immediately.

Instead, his eyes slowly swept across the inside of the RV.

His expression changed.

His breath caught in his throat as he saw the spotless floor, the gleaming equipment, the little plants in glass jars, the soft glowing lights, the warm blankets folded neatly… and then his eyes landed on the table.

There were dishes on it—hot, steaming, and full of delicious aromas. There was rice, spicy beef, some soft bread, soup, and even fresh fruits.

His stomach grumbled quietly.

This place… it was heaven.

Zi Anchen almost forgot why he came.

He had never seen a place so clean. Not since the world turned upside down.

It was so different from his own base, where even the cleanest corner still smelled like rust and dust.

For a second, he just wanted to dive onto the soft bed nearby and roll like a happy dog.

Then he remembered himself.

No—this was the place he wanted to reach.

And this old woman… she was the key.

If he wanted to enjoy all this luxury, then yes—he had to become her dog.

So what?

He was willing. He had waited his whole life for a chance like this.

So Zi Anchen slowly ran his fingers through his shiny black hair and fixed it in place with a little dramatic flair.

While doing that, his shirt lifted slightly, revealing a glimpse of his abs.

He did it on purpose.
