Chapter 458: Chapter 458: Only Him
He looked at Su Jiyai with a soft gaze, trying to appear gentle, warm, and charming.
Qin Feng immediately stepped forward and stood right in front of Su Jiyai, blocking her view like a big wall.
His face darkened. His eyes were blazing.
What was this guy trying to do? Flirt?!
Blood rushed through Qin Feng’s body. His whole chest felt tight.
Was this guy seriously trying to show off in front of him?
In front of Su Jiyai?!
Dream on!
Qin Feng glared at Zi Anchen like he wanted to punch him straight into a trash can.
“Put your shirt down,” he said coldly.
Zi Anchen blinked, acting innocent.
“Oh? Did it ride up? My bad,” he said, pulling it down slowly but still with a small smile, like he was doing it on purpose.
Su Jiyai tilted her head, watching the two of them.
She was trying not to laugh.
Zi Anchen kept smiling like a sly fox and turned toward her again.
“Boss Su,” he said, voice smooth like honey. “I want to talk about forming a real alliance. Between our bases.”
He bowed a little.
“And I’m willing to follow your lead. Completely.”
Qin Feng almost exploded. Follow her lead? What he meant was, cling to her side like a dog!
Not to mention, his entire chest was visible from Su Jiyai’s point of view.
Qin Feng turned his head toward Su Jiyai, wanting to say, “Don’t look.” He was scared she might really be interested in this guy with shiny abs and that fake, charming smile.
But when he looked at her… he froze.
She wasn’t looking at Zi Anchen at all.
She was looking at him.
Her eyes were gentle and warm, as if he were the only person standing in the room. Like none of the nonsense going on around them even mattered.
Qin Feng’s breath hitched.
His heart, which had been boiling with anger and jealousy just seconds ago, suddenly quieted down.
Like a storm that had calmed in one breath.
The burning insecurity in his chest slowly faded away, as if someone poured cool water on it.
He turned toward Zi Anchen and slowly moved to the side, giving space.

A part of him didn’t want to.
He really, really didn’t want to.
He didn’t want to take even one risk.
What if Su Jiyai got curious and looked at Zi Anchen?
What if she smiled at him?
What if she liked him?
But… he also wanted to test something. He wanted to believe her.So he stepped aside.
And then…
Su Jiyai’s eyes followed him.
She didn’t look away for even a second.
His chest filled with something warm and fuzzy, and a little smile appeared on his lips before he could stop it.
Zi Anchen didn’t notice any of this. He thought he was finally getting all the attention.
He stood taller and gave another smile, thinking he looked so cool and smooth.
But what Qin Feng didn’t know… was that Su Jiyai remembered everything.
Back when they were still at the military base…
She had been nothing back then. No money, no power, no reputation.
Just a nobody with a bit of beauty.
And Qin Feng… he was like a shining sun. Strong, capable, handsome. Girls liked him. A lot.
Some even tried to flirt with him, give him gifts, and whisper sweet words.
Su Jiyai used to feel jealous, even though she had no right to be.
But Qin Feng never looked at those girls. Not even once.
Even when they threw themselves at him, he ignored them like they were invisible.
He only looked at her.
He only smiled at her.
Loved her quietly when she had nothing.
Now, she had everything. Power, money, fame. She was Boss Su.
And she didn’t want him to feel even a tiny bit of what she once felt.
So she kept looking at him.
Not even once did she glance at Zi Anchen.
She wanted Qin Feng to know — he was the one she cared about.
Not anyone else.
Anyway, she was going to reveal her identity in a few days, and she wanted to make sure that he didn’t feel she had misused her powers.
Even though Su Jiyai didn’t know why he was so protective of her, she enjoyed.
To make sure Qin Feng didn’t misunderstand, Su Jiyai kept looking right into his eyes. She didn’t blink. She didn’t flinch. Her gaze was clear and steady.
Then, without even turning to look at Zi Anchen, she said calmly, “You should leave.”
Zi Anchen blinked, confused. “Huh? Are you talking to me?”
Su Jiyai tilted her head just a little, her tone still flat like she wasn’t in the mood to explain. “I don’t entertain men who like to sell their bodies.”
Boom.
Zi Anchen froze. His ears turned red. He slowly turned his head toward Qin Feng, thinking Ah, I get it now…
He smirked.
“She’s saying all this for him,” he told himself.
He looked at Qin Feng with a proud face, acting like he understood everything.
“Mr. Lin should leave,” was the look in his eyes, as if saying, You’ve already won, now be happy and go away.
Qin Feng raised one eyebrow.
He wanted to laugh.
He knew those words weren’t for him. Su Jiyai wasn’t scolding him — she was defending him. But just for fun, he pretended to stand up slowly, like he really thought she was upset at him.
The second he moved—
“Wait!” Su Jiyai panicked and took a step forward.
Her voice got louder. “I wasn’t talking to you!”
She turned to Zi Anchen sharply, her eyes cold like an ice blade.
“I was talking to him.” She pointed at Zi Anchen, her face turning a little angry.
Zi Anchen’s mouth dropped open.
He looked at her like she had just slapped him with words.
“W-what? But I… I thought…”
Su Jiyai didn’t let him finish.
“If you don’t leave now,” she said coldly, “I’ll make sure there’s no alliance between our bases. Ever.”
Her voice was firm. Serious. Like she meant every single word.
Zi Anchen’s heart jumped. He felt cold sweat on his back.
He opened his mouth, but no sound came out.
He knew he had to leave.
He quickly turned around to go, but before he walked off completely, his eyes couldn’t help but fall on Qin Feng again.
That guy was too perfect.
Handsome, strong, serious. He looked like someone from a movie.
Zi Anchen narrowed his eyes.
Maybe… Boss Su was just acting like this because of him, he thought.
Maybe she wanted to prove her loyalty or something. Yeah. That has to be it. If I can just catch her alone one day… maybe I can still win.
He clenched his jaw and whispered under his breath, so quietly no one else could hear:
“You won this time… but one day, you’ll fall.”
Then, his eyes looked at Qin Feng.
“And when that day comes…” he muttered, “…I’ll be the one laughing.”
But Qin Feng?
He just watched Zi Anchen leave like he was watching a fly get smacked by a window.
He turned to Su Jiyai again.
She was still looking at him.
“Boss Su, the way you are looking at me right now, will make me misunderstand. I already have a girlfriend.” Qin Feng said calmly, his words were laced with teasing.
Su Jiyai coughed and said,
“I am an old woman. What could my gaze even mean?”
“Even though you are old, you are still quite popular among young men.” Qin Feng chuckled, but his tone carried a hint of bitterness.
Su Jiyai wasn’t going to back down either,
“Oh? I heard from Su Jiyai that you had a lot of admirers back then in the military.”
Qin Feng raised an eyebrow,
“What admirers? I was so busy staring at her that I didn’t even know they existed.”
That was it.
Those words were enough to take away Su Jiyai’s breath and make her realize just how much she meant to Qin Feng.
She was so important to him that no one ever entered his eyes.
He was so important to him that even when she didn’t want to live, she pushed forward and continued to live.
Maybe if the sequence of life were different and she had gotten the system before their meeting, she might have become completely dark and evil.
But Qin Feng gave her the reason to live. He illuminated her life. Moon and stars were nothing in comparison.
If Su Jiyai’s inner world was a black galaxy, then Qin Feng was the sun, making her feel alive and warm.
She coughed to hide the smile on her face and asked,
“So…what would you do if she remained as a wolf for her entire life? Will you remain a monk?”
She wanted Qin Feng to mess up and say something that she could use against him in the future.
However, Qin Feng’s reply completely stunned her,
“I would…”
