Chapter 470: Chapter 470: Revenge
His thin knees pressed down, and immediately, fresh blood started to trickle from the cuts.
But he didn’t make a sound. He bit his lip hard enough to draw blood, trying desperately to stay upright even as his whole body shook.
The guards laughed, mocking him, tossing pebbles at his head whenever he swayed.
Su Jiyai’s nails dug into her palms. Rage boiled inside her, but she couldn’t move, couldn’t reach him yet.
The scene changed again.
Now, her brother was strapped to a cold metal table.
A man in a white coat leaned over him, holding a thick syringe filled with a strange glowing liquid.
The boy struggled weakly, but leather straps pinned his arms and legs down.
Without hesitation, the man jabbed the needle into his thin arm.
The boy screamed, high and sharp, as the liquid burned its way into his veins.
His back arched against the straps. His face twisted in agony. Sweat poured down his forehead, and tiny, broken sobs spilled from his lips.
Nearby, a few scientists scribbled notes as if they were watching a simple experiment instead of a suffering child.
One of them chuckled darkly, “This batch’s pain resistance is too low. Might need to increase the dose next time.”
Su Jiyai felt her stomach turn.
Still, the nightmare wasn’t over.
The world spun again.
Now, her brother and a few other children were standing outside in the freezing rain.
The guards had thrown buckets of icy water over them, then forced them to strip down to just their thin, ripped shirts and shorts.
Their teeth chattered violently. Their skin turned purple and blue from the cold.
And yet, if any of them tried to curl up or cover themselves for warmth, the guards would whip them across the back with long, cruel sticks.
One little girl collapsed, her tiny body too weak to stand anymore.
A guard kicked her hard in the ribs, snarling, “Get up, trash!”
But she didn’t move.
Su Jiyai’s brother tried to help her, kneeling beside her with trembling hands.
The guards didn’t like that.
Without warning, they dragged him away, tying him to a post in the center of the yard.
Then, they turned the cold water hose on him — a hard, punishing stream that knocked the air out of his lungs and made him gasp and cough.
The children were forced to watch as he shivered, half-conscious, while the freezing water blasted him again and again.
The world twisted one more time.
Now her brother was lying in a small room, his back covered in bleeding whip marks.

Someone had thrown a piece of moldy bread at him — his only food for the day.
He stared at it, hunger burning in his stomach. But when he crawled toward it, rats — dirty, sharp-toothed rats — scurried out from the corners and fought him for it.
He barely managed to grab a small piece before they bit into his arms and legs, drawing blood.
Still, he didn’t cry.
He shoved the dirty bread into his mouth with shaking hands, desperate to survive, to live through just one more day.
Su Jiyai felt her vision swim with tears.
She had seen enough.
Her brother’s body was broken, but his spirit — somehow — had not given up yet.
She stepped forward again, heart hammering in her chest.
This time, the world didn’t stop her.
This time, she could move.
Her hands curled into fists at her sides as her eyes blazed with fury.
She would destroy them all.
Every single monster who had laid a hand on her brother.
She would make them kneel on glass. She would make them bleed, cry, scream — until they knew exactly how it felt to be helpless and broken.
She would make them beg for mercy.
And she would not give it.
Not after what they had done.
Not after what her brother had suffered.
The cries of children, the smell of blood and salt—all of it spun away like smoke.
Su Jiyai gasped and opened her eyes.
Back in the RV, warm and safe, her brother was still curled up beside her, breathing softly in his sleep, his small hand clutching her shirt tightly.
Tears burned at the corners of her eyes, and her throat seemed to be blocked by something.
She hugged him and muttered repeatedly,
“I am sorry. I am sorry for arriving late. Sorry.”
Her voice was choked, and her heart ached as if it were bleeding.
“Ji…Boss Su, what happened? Why are you crying?” Qin Feng’s voice sounded as he looked at Su Jiyai worriedly.
On seeing Qin Feng, tears started to fall from Su Jiyai’s eyes.
It was the tear of sadness.
The tear of hatred.
The tear of resentment.
And the tear of vengeance.
Qin Feng panicked when he saw Su Jiyai crying like that.
He rushed over, kneeling beside her.
“Boss Su, did you have a nightmare? Are you hurt? Tell me, please.”
Su Jiyai shook her head, wiping her tears quickly, but they kept falling no matter how hard she tried to stop them.
She looked down at her brother, still sound asleep, unaware of anything.
“No… I’m not hurt,” she said hoarsely. Her voice was raw, as if every word cut her throat.
Qin Feng hesitated, glancing between her and the boy.
He could feel something heavy in the air, something cold and full of anger. It made his skin crawl.
Seeing his concerned gaze, she gritted her teeth and told him everything she saw in her dreams.
Qin Feng’s expression darkened with each passing second.
Su Jiyai carefully laid her brother back onto the bed, tucking the blanket around him.
Then she stood up, her body trembling slightly — not from weakness, but from fury.
“Qin Feng,” she said, her voice low and sharp like a blade, “I need information.”
Qin Feng straightened up at once. “What kind of information?”
“About the Institutes,” Su Jiyai said, her hands curling into fists again.
“Every one of them. Locations. Who’s in charge? What kind of experiments are they doing? I want everything. I want them alive.
Use all the methods you can to get that captured man to speak the truth. If worst comes to worst, skin him alive and pour salt. Make sure he doesn’t die, he still hasn’t paid for what he did. ”
Her cold voice rang out.
Qin Feng swallowed hard. He could see it now — this wasn’t just anger. It was the calm before the storm.
A deadly, unstoppable storm.
“I’ll find it for you,” he promised without hesitation.
Su Jiyai exited the RV and soon reached Leader Pei’s home. She rang the bell and waited for him to open the door.
The door creaked open.
Leader Pei appeared, wearing a simple grey shirt and loose pants. When he saw it was Su Jiyai standing there, his face immediately lit up with a big smile.
“Boss Su! What a surprise! Please, come in, come in!”
Su Jiyai nodded calmly and stepped inside.
The house was neat and tidy, the floor swept clean, and everything was placed just right.
But there was a strange, foul smell in the air — something rotten and damp, like old blood mixed with mold.
Su Jiyai noticed it, but she didn’t flinch. After everything she had seen, something like this didn’t even matter anymore.
Leader Pei quickly fetched a glass of water and placed it on the table along with three dry biscuits.
Then he sat down across from her, rubbing his hands together with a proud look.
“Thank you for giving out free food to the poor today, Boss Su. Truly generous! Truly kind!”
Su Jiyai waved her hand, cutting him off. Her face was cold, her eyes even colder.
“I’m not here to talk about that,” she said bluntly.
Leader Pei blinked, confused.
Su Jiyai leaned forward slightly, her gaze sharp as a knife.
“I want to ask you something. Do you know about an organization that tortures children, operating right here in your base?”
The color drained from Leader Pei’s face in an instant. His smile froze, then disappeared completely. He shifted uncomfortably in his seat.
“I…I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said quickly, shaking his head.
Su Jiyai’s lips curved into a slight, mocking smile.
“I can tell when someone is lying,” she said, her voice low and steady. “And you, Leader Pei, are lying right now.”
Leader Pei gritted his teeth, a muscle in his jaw twitching.
For a moment, silence hung heavy between them.
Finally, he sighed deeply and looked away.
“You shouldn’t get involved, Boss Su,” he said, almost pleading. “That organization… those people… they’re not someone you can afford to offend.”
Su Jiyai’s anger flared.
She slammed her hand down onto the table with a loud BANG, making the water glass jump and the biscuits scatter.
“If you knew about them,” she said, her voice sharp and shaking slightly with rage, “why didn’t you save the children?”
Leader Pei winced at her words, his face pale and sweaty.
