Chapter 474: Chapter 474: Hate
Su Jiyai’s expression turned stone cold.

“You tortured kids,” she said slowly, as if needing to say it out loud to believe it. “For ten years… you tortured children for your sick experiments.”

She let go of Madam Queen’s hair and stood tall.

The air around her twisted with pressure, the heat making the metal beneath her boots glow red.

Then she leaned forward again, her voice cold and clear.

“Then I’ll torture you for the rest of your life.”

Madam Queen’s eyes widened in horror. “W-What? No! No, you don’t understand! I was doing it for humanity! For the future!”

Su Jiyai laughed. It wasn’t a joyful laugh. It was the kind of laugh that made even steel tremble.

“Then let’s test your future on you, Madam Queen. The humanity will be grateful.”

She knelt beside her, grabbing her by the collar.

“I’ll inject you with every version of your so-called awakening potion. One by one. I’ll monitor how long you last. How long will you scream? And you won’t die easily.”

Madam Queen started shaking her head, mouthing ‘no’ over and over.

Su Jiyai grabbed her chin, forcing her to look at her.

“You won’t die in a day. You won’t die in a week. I’ll make sure you live for more than twenty years, strapped to a bed, suffering the way you made them suffer.”

Madam Queen screamed, truly screamed for the first time since the battle began.

Su Jiyai let go and stood again, towering over her broken form.

“I’ll leave your ears untouched. You’ll need them to hear the cries of the children you hurt — every time you close your eyes. And I’ll make sure you never forget their names.”

Red flames surged up around Su Jiyai, licking the walls, casting shadows that danced like devils.

“Your pain won’t be quick. It’ll be a lesson. A warning. To everyone who thinks children are tools.”

Madam Queen tried to crawl back, sobbing now, but Su Jiyai gave her a look so cold, it stopped her in place.

“You had ten years of fun,” Su Jiyai said. “Let’s see how you enjoy the next twenty.”

She raised her hand, and a fiery chain shot out, wrapping tightly around Madam Queen’s body.

The void user struggled, but her energy was spent. Her strength was gone.

And now… it was her turn to be experimented on.

Su Jiyai’s squad stepped into the ruined hallway behind her, watching silently.

No one spoke.

No one questioned.

Because they all knew — justice hadn’t just been delivered.

[Congratulations on destroying one of the devil’s pawns. The subsequent rewards will be handed out once the main system returns.]

The prompt displayed caused Su Jiyai to raise an eyebrow.

As she had suspected, Madam Queen was one of the Devil’s Pawns.

Thinking about how only one week is left before the main system returns, Su Jiyai smiled.

She could show her face to her brother and Qin Feng…

Thinking about her brother, Su Jiyai’s face softened and she ordered,

“Everyone, tie those who are alive and take them to the base.”

Then she nudged the unconscious Madam Queen with the tip of her shoe and said,

“And don’t wake her up for the next 2 days, let her have the last peaceful sleep of her life.”

After 2 days, she would let Madam Queen know that even sleep can be a privilege.

“Yes, Boss Su.”

………………………………….

Returning to her RV, Su Jiyai saw the floor, which was stained with fiery red blood.

As she had expected.

Madam Queen had sent her people to retrieve her(Su Jiyai’s) brother.

Su Jiyai smiled coldly. She entered the RV and saw Qin Feng, who was wiping his hands.

On hearing the sound of the door unlocking, Qin Feng turned around with a warm smile and said,

“Was the mission a success?”

“It was.” Su Jiyai said with a smile and walked toward the bedroom.

Seeing that her brother was awake and looking at the fake green plant with a curious expression, Su Jiyai was amused and asked,

“What are you staring at?”

The boy flinched and backed away subconsciously. Su Jiyai felt a lump in her throat, and her eyes stung, but she refused to shed tears.

The boy, unaware of Su Jiyai’s pai,n said,

“These…what are these?”

“Fake plastic plants.” Su Jiyai replied, then with a curious expression, she asked, “What is your name?”

The boy blinked before replying,

“2900.”

This time, Su Jiyai was baffled by her brother’s response and asked,

“What? I am asking for your name. Like…my name is Boss Su.”

The boy tilted his head, confusion flickering in his tired eyes. “But that is my name. 2900. That’s what they called me… always.”

Su Jiyai froze. Her breath caught in her throat.

They gave him a number… like he was nothing but an object.

She crouched down beside the bed, her tone softening.

“That’s not a real name. It’s just something they gave you to erase your identity. But you had a name before that. Do you remember anything? Anything at all?”

The boy hesitated. His small hands gripped the blanket tightly.

“I… I don’t know. I don’t remember much. Just dark rooms and voices. Loud noises. Screaming.”

His voice shook toward the end, and he looked away, ashamed for some reason.

Su Jiyai reached out gently, resting her hand over his.

“It’s okay,” she whispered. “How about this…I will help you pick out a name.”

“Why?” The boy asked in a soft voice.

“Huh?”

“Why are you helping me so much?” His words were laced with vigilance. He couldn’t understand the sudden kindness directed his way.

Su Jiyai looked at him, really looked at him.

The bruises that hadn’t fully faded. The way his body stayed tense, even when resting.

The way his eyes darted, searching for danger even in safety. He was like a frightened animal, trained to expect pain no matter what.

Her heart ached, but she kept her voice steady.

“Because you’re my brother.”

The boy blinked, stunned. “Brother…?”

Su Jiyai nodded. “Yes.”

“Then why didn’t you search for me?” The boy asked, slight anger laced in his words.

Su Jiyai panicked and said,

“No! I…I…”

“Stop!” The boy pulled his hand back, curling into himself, voice trembling.

“You’re lying. If I were really your brother, why did you leave me there? Why did you wait so long?”

Su Jiyai’s heart clenched. She moved a little closer but didn’t reach out again.

“I didn’t know,” she said, her voice low and shaking.

“Then how did you know I existed? I never conducted any DNA test, and if you don’t know about my existence, you shouldn’t have recognized me in the first place.

You don’t get to call me your brother, after leaving me in that hellish place for more than 5 years!” The boy shouted, and Su Jiyai flinched.

“Do you know how many times I wished I had a family? How many times have I had to endure torture and hope for a family member to rescue me?”

Though only 7 years old, the boy had a trembling voice filled with more pain than any child should carry.

“…Do you know how many times I cried, thinking maybe someone out there cared? That maybe one day, someone would come for me?”

His fists clenched on the blanket, knuckles turning white.

“But no one ever did. I thought maybe I was just born to suffer.”

Su Jiyai felt her throat tighten.

She knelt beside him, not daring to touch him this time.

Her fingers dug into her own thigh, grounding herself through the guilt.

“I’m sorry,” she whispered.

“You’re right. You have every reason to be angry. I should’ve found you sooner. I should’ve never let them take you in the first place.

If I had known you were alive, I would’ve torn down the entire world to get you back.”

“Leave.” The boy turned around, his shoulder started to shake, and Su Jiyai tried to hug him, but the boy shouted again,

“Leave! Don’t! Don’t come near me! I don’t want to see you right now.”

Su Jiyai’s shoulder slumped, and tears started to pool in her eyes. Biting back the tears, she walked out of the bedroom quietly.

Due to the disguise function, Qin Feng only saw Su Jiyai’s old woman’s appearance, which had a straight face, even though tears were streaming down her face.

But seeing how silent she was, he felt strange and asked,

“What happened?”

Those words were enough to break Su Jiyai’s defenses, and she started to cry; the sound of faint sobs echoed in the RV.

Qin Feng was stunned and instinctively wanted to hug, Su Jiyai but remembering how Su Jiyai might misunderstand him, he clenched his fist and asked in a grim voice,

“What happened, Boss Su? Did someone bully you? Are you hurt?”

“No…no one…he…hates me…” Su Jiyai muttered in a soft voice, but Qin Feng heard her.

It didn’t take Qin Feng a lot of time to understand what might have happened.
