Chapter 479: Chapter 479: Elisha
Minutes later, the battlefield was silent.

Burned corpses littered the ground. Ash floated like snow in the wind.

Su Jiyai stood still, breathing steadily. A few burns marked her jacket, but she was otherwise untouched.

Qin Feng had a scrape on his arm, but looked amused more than worried.

“What’s the use of this attack?” Su Jiyai muttered.

“He might have underestimated your powers, or wanted to test your powers.” Qin Feng listed out the possibilities.

Su Jiyai blinked before nodding.

Both of them returned to the RV. Qiang Zhi rushed to Su Jiyai and, after circling around and sniffing her, he confirmed that she was alright.

Su Jiyai was amused and asked,

“Do you think you can detect injuries by sniffing?”

“I can.” Qiang Zhi replied with confidence.

Su Jiyai shook her head, thinking that Qiang Zhi’s nose was sharp.

Qin Feng, however, stared at Qiang Zhi for a while before motioning Su Jiyai to come on one side.

“Boss Su, I don’t mean to doubt the relationship between you and Qiang Zhi. But it would be better if you and he undergo a DNA test.”

It didn’t take time for Su Jiyai to understand Qin Feng’s unsaid suspicion.

Qiang Zhi….didn’t look like her at all. From his body features to hair color and even the eye color…doesn’t match at all.

But…

Su Jiyai knew the system wouldn’t lie to her.

Just as she was immersed in her own thought, Qin Feng changed the subject and said,

“So, how are we going to retaliate against Admiral Ru?”

Su Jiyai snapped out of her daze and gave a creepy smile.

“Since he is showing his claws…. it would be better to bare our own too!”

Qin Feng’s eyes sparkled, and he asked,

“What is it?”

“Expose him.” Su Jiyai smiled.

……………………

In one of the rooms.

If anyone saw Admiral Ru now, they would have been shocked by the scene.

He was waving his hand in the air, his eyes was emitting blue light and his cheeks looked howl as if someone had sucked out blood from them.

He was sitting in a white hexagon that had strange, intricate patterns glowing with eerie red lights, making it look ominous.

It looked as if he was doing some rituals.

Suddenly, Admiral Ru vomited blood, and the blue light pulsing around him vanished. Even the hexagon’s light disappeared in thin air.

Instead of any panic, Admiral Ru had a calm expression as if he was expecting the outcome.

“So that b*tch is strong enough to fight against a level 5 zombie. Well, considering she is the base leader, this was the least expected.”

He wiped the blood flowing from the corner of his mouth and stood up, intending to clear everything.

He suspected that Su Jiyai would stay silent after the attack. Maybe she was already leading all the official alliance members to his room.

“I hope she comes…otherwise, how will I be able to execute my second part of the plan?” He muttered softly.

Whoosh.

The white patterns on the ground disintegrated into dust, followed by the blood, which evaporated in the air as if someone was performing a magic trick.

Just then, the door of his room was knocked. A mocking smirk made its way on Admiral Ru’s face.

Without arrogance, he strode toward the door and flung it open, as if expecting a full-blown attack.

However…what greeted him was… not Su Jiyai but Madam Queen.

The moment she saw Admiral Ru, she hugged him.

“Brother!”

The touch of the warm body snapped Admiral Ru from his stupor, and he pulled away from Madam Queen.

Holding her arms, he shook her and asked,

“How…how did you escape… no! wait! Who are you!”

Without hesitation, he pushed Madam Queen away. With a cautious expression, he looked around.

Madam Queen broke down in sobs as she looked at her brother in disbelief,

“Brother! You don’t recognize me? I am your sister! Why are you acting this way?”

Admiral Ru rolled his eyes,

“Oh? Ma’am, I truly don’t know. Not to mention, you claim to be my sister, but I don’t have a sister at all.”

Internally, he was thinking about how Madam Queen was under Su Jiayi’s arrest, and the chance of her escaping was close to zero.

“I can prove it! But first let me in!” Madam Queen said desperately.

Admiral Ru didn’t move an inch, as if waiting for Madam Queen’s next lie.

However, when Madam Queen used her superpower void dismantle, Admiral Ru’s expression changed.

Admiral Ru pulled Madam Queen into the room and slammed the door shut behind them.

As soon as they were alone, he grabbed her arms and scanned her face, his eyes filled with disbelief and confusion.

But the moment his gaze dropped to her body, his breath hitched.

Madam Queen’s clothes were torn in places. Deep bruises painted her arms, and there were ugly, red lash marks across her back.

Her lips were cracked, and dried blood clung to the corners of her mouth. She looked like she had been dragged through hell.

A rare softness replaced the usual coldness in Admiral Ru’s eyes.

“Who did this to you?” he whispered, his voice dangerously low.

Madam Queen bit her bottom lip, her eyes welling up with tears.

“They locked me in a dark, dirty room… I don’t know where it was. It was damp, cold, and I couldn’t see anything. I was treated like a criminal. Like an animal!”

Admiral Ru clenched his fists, but reached out gently and placed his hand above a particularly swollen bruise on her wrist.

A soft green light glowed from his palm, slowly fading into her skin.

As the wound healed, Madam Queen sniffled and continued, her voice trembling.

“One of Boss Su’s subordinates came in. I think he wanted to… to take advantage of me. He thought I was helpless. But I’m not!” she hissed through gritted teeth.

“I fought him back. Used what little energy I had left and threw him against the wall. Maybe it broke his neck. I didn’t wait to check. I just ran.”

Admiral Ru continued healing her injuries in silence.

The pain on his face wasn’t just from her words—it was personal.

He had expected Boss Su to fight back, sure, but torturing his sister? That was a step too far.

“How did she not catch you escaping?” he asked after a moment, his hands still glowing faintly as they mended her wounds.

Madam Queen shook her head.

“She was busy fighting a Level 5 zombie. I think all her attention was on that. I was lucky. If she had sensed me for even a second, I wouldn’t be standing here.”

Admiral Ru exhaled slowly and nodded.

“Your timing… was perfect. Maybe the way we distracted her with the zombie actually helped you escape. It wasn’t even meant for that, but still…”

He sat beside her, wrapping a thin blanket over her trembling shoulders. “We’ll make her pay for this.”

Madam Queen’s eyes darkened, her jaw clenched tight.

“We must take revenge. She locked me up like a rat. Treated me like trash. She thinks she can just do that and get away with it? I won’t forgive her, Brother.”

Admiral Ru met her gaze with equal fire. “And I won’t forgive her for touching you. I’ll make sure she regrets ever crossing us.”

Madam Queen sniffled again, her expression slightly calmer now that she felt safer. She looked around the room and murmured,

“I should probably hide… back in my usual spot. Just in case she finds out I escaped.”

Admiral Ru’s brows furrowed.

“No,” he said firmly. “That place isn’t safe anymore. Too many dangers lurking in the shadows. Besides, she might guess that’s where you’d go. You’ll stay here tonight. I’ll make arrangements for a safer place tomorrow.”

Hearing him speak about her “usual spot” with such certainty made Admiral Ru even more convinced. Only my real sister would know about that hiding place, he thought.

Madam Queen nodded obediently. “Alright… I trust you, Brother.”

Then, as if remembering something important, Admiral Ru pulled a small metal square from his pocket. It shimmered with a faint red glow.

“I just got a message from my devil. I need to report back.”

Madam Queen’s eyes widened at the sight of the square card, and her face instantly turned pale.

“I… I don’t have mine anymore,” she admitted quietly. “Boss Su took it away. She said she’d study it or something. Maybe even try to contact my devil.”

Admiral Ru blinked, then narrowed his eyes. “She what?”

“I’m sorry…” Madam Queen whispered. “I couldn’t stop her.”

He stood up and clenched the card in his hand. “It’s fine. You remembered the name of your devil.”

Madam Queen nodded quickly. “Yes. Elisha.”

Admiral Ru gave a slow, thoughtful nod, his suspicion now fully erased. “Don’t worry. I’ll contact Elisha myself and explain the situation. I’ll have a new card issued for you soon.”

“Thank you,” she murmured, eyes filled with gratitude.

Admiral Ru walked to a nearby device on the table and placed the square card into a small slot.
