Chapter 122: Slaughtering Zombies
Mia shouted hastily, “Watch out, Alex!”
Alex stood at the forefront, unaware of the impending attack from the dark figure.
It wasn’t that he was distracted, but the shadow attacked from his side, in his blind spot.
So, there was no time to react.
Mia and Olivia saw it first but couldn’t intervene.
They couldn’t make it in time.
Alex reacted swiftly. Upon hearing the shout, instead of instinctively turning back, he immediately rolled sideways to evade potential danger.
He did this because he was sure that the danger to him must be from behind or from the side.
After all, he wasn’t blind and could see there was no danger in front.
Mia and Olivia quickly drew their weapons to counterattack.
They couldn’t see what the dark mass was, but they saw the direction from which it flew!
It was a zombie! But it seemed different.
This zombie seemed mutated…
No, it was a survivor turned zombie after infection!
It seemed to retain some combat instinct, actually wielding weapons.
Mia and Olivia’s shots were dodged by this infected zombie.
Although it still snarled, its agility was no less than that of an ordinary survivor.
It seemed that this survivor before infection must have been of a high level.
Boom! Alex was blasted away.
The dark figure just now was a bomb.
Luckily, he was wearing a combat suit and was unharmed.
Fortunately, Mia and Olivia hadn’t followed him closely at that moment but were slightly behind.
Otherwise, they would have surely been injured.
Alex was somewhat annoyed.
He never expected to be ambushed by a zombie!
Just then, to everyone’s surprise, the zombie pulled out a handgun!
“You guys quickly find cover, that zombie has a gun!” Alex yelled.
Mia and Olivia only had bulletproof vests and helmets and couldn’t withstand bullets directly, so they had to find cover.
The two women obeyed the command and quickly rushed into a nearby shop.
They ran upstairs to find a spot with cover and a good vantage point for shooting.

Alex took action.
The zombie was exceptionally agile, dodging almost all bullets with ease.
Alex wielded the somewhat cumbersome Gatling gun, struggling to keep up with its speed.
This heavy machine gun was more suitable for use in a zombie tide.
Facing such a powerful individual zombie, Alex trusted more in his own body and his critical hit katana.
Clang! The critical hit katana was unsheathed.
The blade gleamed coldly, tracing a graceful arc in Alex’s hand.
Then, as if it were a throwing knife, it was flung towards the mutated zombie.
If the critical hit katana had a spirit, it would probably be giving Alex the finger right now.
Darts require speed, accuracy, and fierceness!
Alex didn’t possess any of these.
However, he was very lucky.
The critical hit katana plunged directly into the infected zombie’s arm, pinning it to the wall.
The zombie roared loudly.
This roar was both an expression of pain and a call to its companions.
Soon, zombies around began to respond one after another.
Roar!
Roar!
Alex stomped on the mutated zombie’s head, crushing it, and pulled out the critical hit katana.
Watching the horde of zombies running towards them not far away, he lifted the Gatling gun again.
Now was the perfect time for the Gatling gun to show its might.
Zombies are not afraid of death, survivors are afraid of death.
There were not many survivors who could stand firm against the surging tide of zombies.
Only when you are carrying a Gatling gun and confront the zombies face to face will you feel the impact of death.
Alex felt it.
But he didn’t retreat.
Thump thump!
This wave of zombies was more overwhelming than any before.
Adrenaline surged madly.
Even though Alex was wearing a combat suit, he felt his palms sweating.
Ratatatat!
The Gatling gun instantly spewed flames, shooting at the advancing zombies.
Alex gasped for breath, but his expression was somewhat excited.
This was definitely more thrilling than killing people!
He promised.
Mia and Olivia were not idle either. On the high platform floor, they took advantage of their elevated position to relieve the pressure on Alex.
Shooting, throwing grenades, tossing Molotov cocktails…
They used the advantage of zombies being unable to threaten them to create a safe output environment for Alex by forcibly drawing a containment line.
Under Alex’s feet, shell casings clattered to the ground.
The barrel of the Gatling gun turned red.
After the bullets ran out, Alex took out the AK47 and fired a burst of bullets directly.
Magazines were discarded like they were worth nothing.
However, even with such intense firepower, they couldn’t stop the zombie tide.
Soon, Alex was overwhelmed by the zombies.
Mia was shocked and immediately wanted to rush downstairs.
However, she was stopped by Olivia.
“You have to trust Alex, he won’t easily get into trouble!”
As soon as she finished speaking, the zombies surrounding Alex were blown apart.
Alex used a grenade.
“Now’s the time! Shoot the zombies around Alex to give him a chance to free himself!”
Olivia aimed and fired.
As the zombies swarmed Alex, he wasn’t panicked.
In fact, he had anticipated this.
Although the Gatling gun was powerful, and the AK47 had unlimited ammo support, he was still just one person, with limited ability to inflict damage.
But he still had one big weapon unused.
Olivia and Mia’s support came quickly.
The zombies around Alex were knocked down, creating a circle around him, giving him space to reach into his backpack.
He gave Mia and Olivia a thumbs up, then pulled out a portable rocket launcher.
Whoosh! Alex fired a rocket directly ahead.
The foremost zombie instinctively tried to intercept the rocket.
But the rocket’s powerful thrust dragged it backward.
Then, a small mushroom cloud exploded.
The strong shockwave knocked down a group of zombies and Alex.
Alex was amazed.
He never expected this thing to have such power.
He thought it would just be like those RPGs on TV, only able to blow up a small mound of dirt.
He didn’t expect it to be this concentrated type of rocket!
A loud bang rang out directly over the old city.
Some survivors several kilometers away heard it.
“What the hell, who’s using such a terrifying weapon! What level of bomb is this, my ears are starting to go numb.”
“My ears are ringing a bit, and it sounds like the commotion is quite far away, this is outrageous.”
“Is it from the southeast? Well, knowing there’s a big shot over there, let’s not go there. It might be Dragon Soar Team, or another big team.”
“Could it be 10086…”
“It’s possible…”
“Then we definitely shouldn’t go over there!”
