Chapter 346: The Beginning of Action
“Enough!”
Alan’s cold, disdainful voice cut through the room. His gaze swept over the speakers with a chilling intensity that made everyone’s skin crawl. The temperature in the room seemed to drop noticeably.
The individuals who had spoken shrank back, lowering their heads in submission.
Alan took a slow breath and said, “Most people are participating in this operation? Where did you get that information?”
“Except for those discontented high-ranking officials, many ordinary people are living better lives. Why would they follow their lead and stir up trouble?”
“Do they think that a mere call to arms will make everyone from the major alliances rally to their cause?”
“Don’t be foolish! It’s not that simple!”
“And don’t think that just because many people are acting together, Alex won’t come after you if things go wrong!”
“I can tell you clearly, that’s a huge mistake!”
“If you dare to join them, you will be doomed!”
“Don’t try to convince me otherwise. I know full well that some of you have been tempted by others, even received benefits from them, trying to persuade me.”
“I’m telling you, it’s useless!”
Alan’s gaze was like a hawk’s, scanning each of them. Those caught in his line of sight felt as if they were being preyed upon by a fierce beast.
Despite being subservient and fearful in front of Alex, Alan’s strength and methods had earned him substantial authority among his subordinates.
As he made his position clear, some of the nervous subordinates couldn’t help but tremble, their legs shaking uncontrollably.
They thought they could hide their acceptance of bribes and persuasion, but Alan had seen through it all.
“Sir, we were wrong!”
“Indeed, some people approached us, trying to convince us to join them and take action with them!”
“We’re sorry, we will never do this again!”
Soon, a few individuals couldn’t handle the pressure and fell to their knees, begging for forgiveness with tears and snot. Others followed suit, admitting their mistakes willingly.
Alan looked at them with a cold expression.
“Very well.”
“I was initially going to hand you over to Alex to face the consequences if you didn’t admit your mistakes. But since you have confessed willingly, I’ll let you off this time. Consider this a warning!”
“Yes, Sir!”
“Thank you, Sir!”
The individuals expressed their gratitude profusely, still on their knees.
Alan regarded them with indifference, ignoring their continued kneeling.
After dealing with the few individuals, one of Alan’s trusted subordinates hesitated and asked, “My lord, do you really believe that they will be doomed to die?”
Here, “they” naturally referred to the rebels.
At these words, the others also looked over.

Although they were reluctant to join the rebels, they also felt that the possibility of the rebels being completely eliminated was slim.
After all, there were many of them, and their strength was considerable.
Moreover, they had incited quite a few ordinary survivors.
More importantly, in Dawn City, the majority of survivors were their subordinates.
If Alex were to kill them all, might it cause over thirty thousand ordinary survivors to fear and revolt?
This consequence was something Alex could not afford.
Moreover, the rebels were not foolish enough to try to overthrow Alex’s rule; they merely wanted some power to improve their own situation.
Complete eradication? Not very likely!
However, Alan snorted coldly.
“You are being too naïve; things are not as simple as you think.”
“What do you take Alex for?”
“Don’t forget, with Alex’s strength, even if everyone in the city rises up against him, he can suppress them all by himself!”
“Do you think that if you’re not targeting Alex, he won’t act against you? Ridiculous!”
“Your actions are a challenge to his authority; he will not let you live!”
“Just wait, in a few days, everything will become clear. It will be a storm of blood and slaughter…”
Seeing Alan speak these words with an extremely serious expression, his subordinates felt a storm of emotions rise within them!
They knew Alan all too well.
Naturally, they were very clear that Alan had no reason to lie to them.
So, all those involved with the rebels would really be completely eradicated and killed?
The group fell silent, shivering with cold sweat.
The image was too horrifying to even imagine.
Someone, unable to believe it, stammered, “My lord, is this information accurate…”
Before the person could finish speaking, Alan gave him a cold glare.
“Do my words sound false? I’m warning you in advance—better not get involved with those people, or if you are implicated later, it will be your own fault!”
“And, when the time comes, you need to fight alongside me against those rebels, understand?!”
“Understood!”
The group nodded repeatedly.
At this point, they could see that Alan had fully sided with Alex.
And, while everyone thought Alex knew nothing, it seemed Alex had completely grasped the rebels’ every move.
Moreover, Alex’s attitude toward the rebels was clear.
Kill one if there was one, kill a thousand if there were a thousand, showing no mercy!
“Is it really going to turn into a bloody storm?”
Someone thought to themselves.
Suddenly, the air seemed to become suffocating.
At the same time, the eight individuals who instigated this turmoil among the rebels gathered once again.
This group included the leaders of the Shadow Alliance, Sacred Alliance, and Sky Alliance, as well as Juan and others.
Among them was Carl, disguised as Alex.
The other seven would never have imagined that their greatest enemy, the one they feared the most, was sitting with them, discussing the details of the rebellion.
Once everyone had arrived, Juan spoke first.
“I believe the timing is now quite ripe. Apart from a few individuals, a significant number of people have already been persuaded by us.”
“As long as we act together and speak in unison, we can definitely rally the thirty thousand survivors in Dawn City to stand with us!”
“At that point, we can push through with our plans, and Alex will have no choice but to take us seriously!”
While speaking, Juan glanced at the leader of the Shadow Alliance.
Alan was the only one among them who, despite being a leader, was unwilling to join their cause.
In Juan’s view, as Alan’s superior, he bore an irrefutable responsibility.
However, since both parties were on the same side for now, Juan chose not to press the issue further.
He didn’t dwell on this matter.
Juan paused and then continued, “I think this is the best time for us to act. While Alex hasn’t noticed our movements yet and is unprepared, our chances of success are the highest.”
The others nodded in agreement.
They understood well.
Although Alex had not yet detected their small movements, he was not blind. It wouldn’t be long before he would notice.
By then, their chances of success would diminish significantly.
The group then expressed their own viewpoints.
“I also agree with Juan. The sooner we act, the better. We can’t afford to wait any longer.”
“Yes, given the current situation, it’s clear that Shadow Alliance’s Alan is not going to be swayed. We must act quickly; if we delay, he might go to Alex and inform him!”
