Chapter 55:  Frank Tears Off the Facade
Just as Alex successfully obtained the antivirus serum, Frank finally welcomed his subordinate, Henry.

He had been waiting for this day for too long.

Henry rushed tirelessly for several days and sent a message one night.

“Frank, I’m here, resting in a small shop 500 meters away from you. When shall we meet?”

Frank was about to go to sleep but became excited when he received the message.

Yet, he restrained his excitement.

“Stay where you are, don’t move. I’ll come over immediately.”

Frank slept alone on the sofa.

Usually, Olivia would lock the door when resting at night.

So, Frank left their shabby house without disturbing her.

He walked a bit farther and then started to run, quickly arriving at the small shop Henry mentioned.

“Henry?”

Henry heard the familiar voice outside and ran out excitedly.

“Big brother!”

Frank patted Henry’s shoulder and chuckled, “Good, good, with your help, that bitch Olivia won’t escape my grasp this time!!”

Henry echoed with a fake smile, “As long as you’re happy, big brother.”

“Henry, you’ve really helped me a lot this time. I, Frank, have recognized you as a good brother!”

Henry looked at the delighted Frank and smiled, “Frank, as long as you need me, even if it costs my life, I’m willing to do it for you.”

Frank made a decision on the spot.

“Alright! In that case, Henry, tomorrow we’ll go find that bitch Olivia! Rest well tonight, and after we deal with Olivia tomorrow, I’ll make sure to reward you.”

Henry quickly declined, “Frank, I don’t need it. You enjoy it yourself.”

Frank gave him a thumbs up.

“Sensible! Haha, I’ll go back now, I’ll come find you tomorrow.”

Henry nodded.

“Okay, Frank, you go back and rest early.”

Frank returned to the shelter, glanced at Olivia’s tightly closed room door, and sneered inwardly.

When the next morning arrived, Olivia was sitting in the living room eating bread when Frank entered with Henry.

Olivia noticed early on that Frank was missing.

Seeing him come in with a stranger made her instantly alert, her tension skyrocketing.

“Frank, who is he? I remember we agreed not to bring in unfamiliar survivors, right?”

Frank shook his head and chuckled, “Olivia, he’s no stranger, he’s my good brother Henry. We’re just reuniting after a long time.”

“And? What’s your point?”

Frank plopped down on the sofa opposite Olivia, picked up a slice of bread from the table, and chewed slowly.

“What’s my point, don’t you understand yet?”

Olivia had a bad feeling about this.

“I really don’t understand your point.”

Frank grinned slyly, “Are you genuinely clueless, or pretending? I’ve wanted you for a long time!”

“Oh, it must be pretense. After all, when you were chatting with Alex, you were practically dripping with laughter, right? Hahaha!”

Olivia raised her voice coldly, “Frank, show some respect! Is this what they call the manners of a rich young master?!”

Frank shrugged, laughing recklessly, “Rich young master? Who the hell cares! In this apocalyptic world, my family might have been eaten by zombies for all I know!”

“Now, all I want is to strip you naked, Olivia, and send a video to Alex to see how embarrassing your moans are!”

“Henry, go for it!”

Standing behind Frank, Henry acted.

Olivia hadn’t expected this seemingly unremarkable guy to move so swiftly.

However, she had been cautious all along.

She preemptively pulled out a handgun from her backpack.

Frank, sitting directly across from Olivia, was startled.

“A gun?!”

In her panic, Olivia couldn’t aim properly and fired a shot directly at Frank.

Frank was hit in the shoulder, screaming in pain.

In that brief moment, Henry had already rushed in front of Olivia.

Caught off guard, Olivia’s handgun was knocked out of her hand.

But she didn’t hesitate, immediately rolling to the side from the sofa and pulling out a crossbow.

Henry, running towards Olivia, had no intention of dodging. He immediately took out a shield and blocked the arrow.

With a wall at her back, Olivia couldn’t find a place to take cover for the time being.

Suddenly remembering the combat suit she had collected some time ago, she hastily retrieved it from her backpack.

Just as the combat suit was put on, Henry’s shield came crashing down hard on the suit.

Frank, clutching his shoulder, looked at Olivia incredulously in the combat suit.

“Is this freaking Iron Man?”

Olivia put on the combat suit, but she wasn’t feeling well.

She was hit hard by the shield, feeling dizzy and nauseous.

Henry continued to relentlessly assault the seamlessly fitted, bulletproof combat suit.

By the time he slowly backed off, Olivia was staggering inside the suit, leaning against the wall to barely keep herself upright.

Frank rushed over from the side and kicked Olivia down with all his might.

Then, he continuously struck her with a wooden stick in his hand, knocking Olivia unconscious.

Olivia’s eyes went dark, and then she lost consciousness.

Still not satisfied, Frank kicked her twice more, cursing angrily, “Damn this bitch, she actually managed to get hold of a gun at some point!”

“It hurts like hell, it must have been that broke ass Alex who gave it to her, damn it!”

Henry approached, looking at the gunshot wound on Frank’s body.

“Frank, let me tend to your wound first.”

Frank shook his head.

Looking at Olivia lying on the ground, he ordered, “Not now, first tie up this bitch Olivia, don’t let her escape.”

Henry nodded, took out a chain, and securely tied up Olivia, suspending her hands from the ceiling beam.

Olivia was hanging there completely restrained.

Then, Henry took out alcohol and bandages from his backpack.

“Frank, this might hurt a lot, bear with it.”

Frank gritted his teeth and said, “Damn it, just get it over with quickly, better to get it over with.”

Henry nodded, cleaned a dagger with alcohol, inserted it into Frank’s wound, and removed the bullet.

Frank had ultimately overestimated himself; after a miserable howl, he passed out directly.
