Apocalypse: Infinite Supplies System - Chapter 65
Chapter 65: Mia’s skill
Alex broke through, not lingering too much with the mutated zombies, and turned to run.
As he retreated, he frantically threw Molotov cocktails and grenades behind him.
The Molotov cocktails and grenades hindered the regular zombies, but the mutated one was naturally unaffected by these minor damages.
It didn’t stop but continued to chase after Alex.
Alex cursed under his breath.
However, there were still many zombies behind the mutated one.
He could only choose to detour, letting Mia and Olivia eliminate the zombies as much as possible to relieve the pressure on his side.
Of course, he would also seize the opportunity to kill some regular zombies himself.
Only by eliminating all the regular zombies could the three of them have a chance against the mutated one.
If Alex were to confront the mutated zombie alone, it would truly be an unknown.
The last time he killed a mutated creature alone was a lucky coincidence.
These mutated zombies required a lot of firepower to suppress.
But Alex didn’t have time to reload his magazine.
They chased and were chased.
Alex was in front, slashing with his critical-hit katana, his speed unabated.
The mutated zombie was behind, always just a step away from catching up, but always allowing Alex to narrowly escape.
Alex kept dragging it out.
Even though his stamina had decreased a lot, he kept waiting.
Because he believed in Mia and Olivia, who were buying time for them by clearing out the zombies.
It had to be said that the focus of this mutated zombie was astonishing.
It didn’t care at all as its kind fell one by one, seeming to have eyes only for Alex.
It was unclear how much time had passed.
Alex seemed tired.
He stopped running and stood still.
Roar! The mutated zombie rushed towards Alex, throwing a punch.
But it couldn’t get close, instead being hit by bullets.
Though not lethal, it stopped its advance.
Mia and Olivia had finished clearing out the zombies and could finally lend a hand to Alex.
Taking this opportunity, Alex quickly changed the magazine of his UMP9 submachine gun.
Then he raised the submachine gun and kept firing at the mutated zombie.

At the same time, Alex reminded them, “Now’s the time! Quickly reload your magazines and throw grenades and explosives at the mutated zombie!”
Mia and Olivia obediently followed suit.
The UMP9 submachine gun quickly ran out of ammo.
But immediately after, it was Mia and Olivia’s turn to suppress with their firepower.
By the time Alex reloaded his magazine, it was another round.
The mutated zombie was relentlessly suppressed to death by this cycle of firepower.
Hiss! Roar!!
The mutated zombie roared in anger, seeming to vent its frustration.
But in the end, it fell in resignation.
It was simply overwhelmed by the relentless firepower cycle of Alex and the others, with bullets pouring out as if they were free.
Alex walked up to the mutated zombie and, using his critical-hit katana, chopped off its head, finally releasing the tension, then knelt directly on the ground.
This action frightened Mia and Olivia.
They hurriedly ran up to support him.
Alex’s face flushed for a moment, then he coughed, coughing up blood.
Obviously, the internal injuries from the fight had erupted.
He was in a very bad state at the moment.
Seeing Alex about to faint, Olivia was very anxious.
“What should we do!”
After all, it was internal injuries, and there was no way to treat them.
At this moment, Mia slowly placed her hand on Alex’s chest, emitting a faint white light.
Alex’s complexion began to improve.
In a daze, Alex felt as if he were soaking in a hot bath.
This familiar yet unsettling illusion instantly awakened him.
Alex suddenly realized that his stamina had recovered.
And the internal injuries had vanished, his body functions returning to their peak.
And the initiator of all this was Mia’s mysterious white light.
Facing Alex and Olivia’s confusion, Mia wiped the sweat from her forehead, smiling as she explained, “I’ve reached level ten and gained a skill called [Healing], which can instantly heal injured patients and restore their stamina.”
Alex was overjoyed.
It seemed that Mia had truly become the team’s dedicated doctor.
Even reaching level ten, the skill was still in the healing category.
And this [Healing] skill was too powerful, almost god-like.
People on the brink of death could be pulled back up by Mia, rejuvenated, and returned to the battlefield at full capacity.
This was terrifying.
Such a skill is too overpowered, there must be some limitations.
Alex asked, “Mia, how many times can this skill be used in a day?”
Mia raised three fingers.
Three times.
Even if it could only be used three times a day, Alex was still impressed by this skill.
Mia reached level ten and gained the [Healing] skill, which was like a timely rain for their team.
The current situation in the post-apocalyptic world was not too good.
Even though Alex had plenty of supplies, professional medical supplies were still needed for injuries and illnesses.
But with this skill, at least the urgent need for medical supplies was alleviated.
However, the premise was whether Mia’s [Healing] skill had a limit to how much it could heal the wounded.
This was something Mia hadn’t figured out.
So Alex could only let it go.
The range of [Healing]’s effectiveness would have to be continuously explored in practice in the future.
Now, what was more important was that they had killed the mutated zombie, and a golden-tiered supply crate emitting golden light was placed before them.
Alex opened the golden-tiered supply crate.
Inside were two rare items and some miscellaneous common items.
[Laser Defense Device]
[Automated Gatling Machine Gun]
[100 Bottles of Mineral Water]
[2 Pounds of Spare Ribs]
…
This golden-tiered supply crate could be considered very generous.
Remember, the villa was Alex’s main base, and below it was an underground bunker built to avoid damage from meteor showers.
Having a powerful automated defense system was very necessary.
Alex collected all the supplies and felt refreshed.
“Finding two items that can be used in the automated defense system makes this trip worthwhile.”
Mia and Olivia were equally delighted.
The villa’s automated defense system was already somewhat outdated.
It was still some simple crossbows and flintlock-style firearms, which couldn’t withstand the survivors’ external invasions.
Mia cheered, “Great! Our automated defense system should have been upgraded long ago. We’ve been helpless before, just watching anxiously.”
Olivia also breathed a sigh of relief.
“Yeah, during this time, other survivors in the villa area have been looking at us with envy. I guess they won’t be able to hold back much longer.”
After all, things were different now.
Survivors having firearms was no longer surprising.
Crossbows and most cold weapons, even Molotov cocktails, were gradually being phased out.
In their place were powerful firearms and even more deadly long-range grenades or explosives.
Alex smiled, “Now we can put our minds at ease. If anyone dares to mess with us, we’ll send them straight to their graves!”
“Let’s go, let’s head home.”
The three of them got into the vintage car and set off on their way back.
