Chapter 74: Defeated and Fleeing
The armored vehicle reversed, intending to continue its onslaught.
Alex, naturally, wouldn’t just sit and wait for death.
Taking advantage of the space left behind by the armored vehicle, Alex darted directly towards the group of Gale Warriors thugs.
The thugs fired relentlessly.
But they couldn’t slow Alex down for a second.
With bullets expended and discarding his pistol to escape, it was already too late.
Alex caught up to one thug and landed a heavy blow directly to the back of his head.
The impact sent the thug’s eyes rolling back, and he collapsed to the ground.
Alex grabbed his ankle and dragged him slowly towards himself.
The thug still tried to flee, even as he was on the verge of losing consciousness, crawling forward.
Crack!
The thug screamed in agony as his left leg dislocated at the joint.
A deep, metallic laughter echoed beneath Alex’s combat suit.
“Does it hurt? Good, it should!”
Alex continued mercilessly, stomping down, shattering the thug’s skull.
Next.
Alex lifted his head, looking at the now terrified and trembling Gale Warriors thugs.
“Which one should I choose?”
One of the Gale Warriors thugs couldn’t bear it anymore.
“Damn it, I’m done playing! Who’s the gangster here, him or me!”
Then he ran away.
Rat-a-tat-tat!
In the blink of an eye, the fleeing Gale Warriors thug collapsed into a pool of blood.
Alex held a UMP9 submachine gun in his hand, slowly saying, “How can you run? That’s not allowed, hehe.”
All the Gale Warriors were trembling with fear.
This was a devil with bloodlust!
Even George was starting to regret, sitting in the driver’s seat of the armored vehicle, his Adam’s apple rolling.
“Damn it, is he this crazy…”
The female secretary beside George pushed her glasses up and asked with concern, “Boss, should we retreat…”
George slapped her face hard, leaving a red handprint.

“Retreat? There’s no such word in the Gale Warriors dictionary! It’s either he dies, or we die, simple as that!”
“If you utter another damn word, I’ll chop you up!”
The female secretary bit her lip, too afraid to speak.
George’s gaze turned cold as he adjusted the armored vehicle’s direction, continuing to charge towards Alex.
Gripping the steering wheel tightly, his eyes blazing red, George floored the accelerator.
This amphibious armored vehicle, weighing several tons, could reach speeds of over a hundred kilometers per hour at full throttle.
Even though Alex was wearing combat gear, the impact from the collision posed a deadly threat to him.
He could only rely on his agility, constantly maneuvering around the armored vehicle, taking advantage of its blind spots during turns to evade the impact.
The Gale Warriors thugs looked on and without hesitation, turned and fled.
Taking advantage of the brief opening created by the armored vehicle’s turn, Alex raised his UMP9 submachine gun and opened fire.
The flesh-and-blood Gale Warriors thugs stood no chance of escaping and fell in droves instantly.
Running was futile, fighting was futile; they were left with nothing but waiting for death.
George’s eyes were now red with fury.
To kill Alex, he began to use any means necessary, disregarding friend or foe.
Just as Alex caught up with the fleeing Gale Warriors thug, George drove the armored vehicle towards them.
Alex agilely dodged the impact, but George smashed his own thug into a pulp.
But George didn’t care; he only wanted Alex dead.
After killing his own thug with the vehicle, George muttered to himself, “Don’t worry, brother, I’ll definitely avenge you by killing 10086. We’ll still be brothers in the next life!”
When George finally realized what had happened, the open space in the villa area was littered with his own thugs.
Many of them had been turned into minced meat after being hit by the vehicle.
Alex stood unscathed in front of him.
“Boss, we should retreat!”
At this moment, several thugs inside the armored vehicle challenged George.
There weren’t many people inside the armored vehicle, only about five or six.
Apart from George and the female secretary, the rest were the backbone of the Gale Warriors.
Facing the challenges from his men, George nodded and handed them a few grenades.
“Mason, I trust you guys, go!”
Mason nodded heavily, then led his brothers off the armored vehicle.
Surprisingly, they were equipped with bulletproof vests and helmets.
These were supplies that Alex had yet to acquire.
It seemed that the Gale Warriors still had some reserves.
Despite firing their pistols, Mason and his men were ineffective.
Once they ran out of bullets, they resorted to pulling out cold weapons, sharp machetes one after another.
Alex holstered his UMP9 submachine gun and took out his Critical Hit Warrior Blade again.
He enjoyed the sensation of drawing blood with every swing of the blade.
Compared to killing enemies with bullets, the melee combat with cold weapons made his blood boil even more.
Mason and the others made their move.
They grabbed their large machetes and swung them fiercely towards Alex, their momentum overwhelming.
Facing attacks from several directions, Alex remained calm.
He directly met the machetes with simple thrusts, devoid of any fancy combat techniques.
Splat!
The Critical Hit Warrior Blade pierced through Mason’s abdomen.
Then, Alex swiftly twisted the blade and pulled it out.
Mason collapsed limply.
Afterward, Alex slashed the throats or stabbed the hearts of the others.
The last remaining core members of the Gale Warriors fell.
One thug muttered before his death, “Relying on this armor, what… what skills…”
Alex, who hadn’t spoken a word during the fight, smiled faintly upon hearing the question.
“Skills? My skill is being able to have this combat suit.”
“I have the combat suit but don’t use it for hand-to-hand combat. Do you take me for a fool?”
The thug widened his eyes, wanting to say more, but Alex, annoyed by his noise, stomped on his windpipe, silencing him permanently.
With a roar, the armored vehicle turned and drove away.
Alex sneered and retrieved his sports car, then chased after it.
“Run? Do you think you can escape…”
With the Gale Warriors gone, anyone not running at this point would be an idiot.
George desperately stepped on the gas, trying to shake off Alex.
But Alex was driving a car, which had a higher top speed than the armored vehicle to begin with.
The idea of shaking off Alex was simply absurd.
However, Alex wasn’t in a hurry; he just kept pace behind the armored vehicle.
He wanted to see where George would try to escape to.
George was now regretting deeply.
He had to provoke 10086 of all people!
With so many cautionary tales, he still didn’t learn his lesson.
“Damn it!”
George pounded the steering wheel as he drove.
He had thought this vehicle was his safeguard, only to find it turned into a tool for escape.
The heavy vehicle had become a burden, even a hindrance.
George didn’t know who the woman he had shot was, but he figured she must be important to 10086.
Otherwise, there was no way 10086 would unleash carnage immediately after emerging from the S-alloy wall.
He knew he had no chance of turning back from this confrontation with 10086; he could only grit his teeth and keep going.
The armored vehicle drove onto a road in the zombie-infested area.
George wanted to take a gamble, hoping that 10086 would hesitate to pursue in the midst of the zombies.
But when he saw 10086 unhesitatingly driving into the zombie area with him, he felt a chill in his heart.
What was worse, the fuel gauge on the armored vehicle showed that the tank was almost empty.
