Chapter 77: Internal Strife
As Alex tuned into Isabella and Grace’s livestream again, the room was already in chaos.
Isabella and Grace were too occupied to manage the livestream, and the barrage was flooded with uninformed spectators.
“What’s going on?”
Number 546347: “What happened? I just arrived. Can someone fill me in?”
Number 875484: “I’m not sure either, just got here.”
Number 648345: “Um, I caught a glimpse earlier. Isabella and a guy from the shelter got into a fight, seemed to be about not having enough food, not being able to eat their fill or something, anyway, they started arguing.”
Number 673257: “This doesn’t seem like a simple argument. Look, it’s turned into a mess! They’re forming groups and starting fights, this is about to escalate into a brawl!”
Number 754734: “Look, Isabella is coming over, seems like she’s got it under control, people aren’t fighting anymore.”
Isabella stepped in front of the camera, looking very embarrassed, constantly apologizing.
“I’m really sorry, everyone, for letting you see such a disgraceful scene in the livestream. The problem has been resolved, so please don’t worry.”
Seeing Isabella and Grace back in front of the livestream camera, the audience in the chat started asking questions.
Number 854845: “What exactly happened just now? How did it suddenly turn into a shouting match?”
Number 675953: “Did you guys fight just now because of unequal distribution of resources?”
Number 845873: “Damn, it looked like it was about to get violent, ready to draw guns? That troublemaking guy seems to be new here, haven’t seen him before, and he clashed with the big brother who greeted us last time.”
Isabella looked at the comments, her expression somewhat bitter.
“In fact, there’s no big problem. We had an influx of so many survivors into our shelter all at once, and our reserves of supplies couldn’t keep up with the demand. Some people didn’t eat enough, and their emotions got a bit heated, which is quite normal.”
“But you netizens don’t need to worry, we’ll resolve it soon.”
Alex heard this and sneered.
“Hmph, if it were that easy to resolve, that would be great…”
There were also many comments continuing in the livestream room.
Number 743756: “As long as everything’s okay.”
Number 623575: “But, I feel like your team’s model isn’t quite right.”
Number 234657: “Ahem, I’m from the Police Station, so I actually have some authority to speak on this.”
“We used to have this kind of model as well, but when we started to grow and expand, there were too many people freeloading and just waiting for death.”
“Later, the sheriff just kicked these people out of the stronghold, letting them fend for themselves, and established a points system and labor for allocation. Honestly, Isabella, you should change your system while your team is still small.”
Number 456342: “Exactly, equal distribution is too unreliable. While the later survivors in your team haven’t settled in yet, you should quickly change your system. If they don’t want to stay, let them go, it’s not a big loss.”
Number 526334: “Right, to prevent it from becoming a chronic problem in the future.”
After carefully reading the comments, Isabella sighed and rallied herself.
“I’ve seen everyone’s suggestions, and I’ve thought about it seriously. Indeed, we’ve taken too big of a step, and we will reform the team’s distribution system afterward. We’ll livestream it for everyone to watch, so be sure to pay attention when the time comes!”
At this moment, another viewer issued a warning.

Number 453673: “That big guy who was about to fight just now, I always feel he’s up to no good. You guys should be careful.”
Number 735474: “I think such troublemakers should be removed early, like a time bomb.”
Number 865856: “Yes yes yes! I agree!”
However, Isabella just smiled dismissively at the suggestion.
“You don’t need to worry too much, he’s actually not bad. He’s just new here, feeling emotional because he couldn’t eat his fill, which is understandable. After all, we promised to make sure everyone gets enough to eat. Other team members just went to calm him down earlier, and he’s behaving now, right? Hehe.”
As Isabella was speaking, there was a loud noise behind her.
Then, gunfire erupted.
In the underground bunker, a group of newly joined survivors broke away from the group, raised their guns, and started shooting at others.
Many people were caught off guard and killed without being able to react.
The original members of Isabella’s team fell one by one.
And the leader of the attackers was none other than the unreliable newcomer mentioned in the comments earlier, that burly man.
At this moment, he was walking towards Isabella and Grace with a gun in hand.
Isabella tried to reach for her gun from her backpack, but she was directly threatened with the gun pointed at her head by the burly man.
“If I were you, I wouldn’t move.”
Isabella and Grace could only obey, with their hands tied, wearing expressions of despair.
Everything was being broadcasted live throughout.
All the viewers witnessed it.
Though Isabella was now a captive, she remained composed and asked, “Liam, why are you doing this? Have we mistreated you in our team these past two days?”
The burly man named Liam chuckled.
“What do you think? Haven’t we? ”
Isabella was puzzled.
“Haven’t we?”
Liam heard her words and immediately grabbed Isabella by the throat, sternly saying, “Haven’t we? I’ve worked the hardest these past two days. Today, I moved one-third of the lumber in that warehouse we unloaded! And what’s the result? Not even enough food to eat! You call that not mistreating us?”
Isabella was speechless.
“I…I don’t know…”
Liam cursed loudly, “You know nothing! Me and my brothers here, we all came here with high hopes, only to end up doing the hardest and most tiring work, eating the least, while you’re here live streaming! Damn it!”
Isabella bit her lip lightly, feeling guilty, “I’m sorry, I’ll change the distribution model.”
“Change? It’s too late! This time, I’m taking charge!”
Liam laughed heartily, his eyes flashing with dangerous intent.
Isabella tried to step back, but Liam held her throat firmly.
She panicked.
“Liam, what are you doing?!”
Liam looked towards the camera in the live stream.
Some comments in the live chat were criticizing him, but he ignored them.
“What am I doing? Since we’re live, of course, it’s a live broadcast, might as well make some profit.”
Then, Liam hurriedly adjusted the angle of the live stream camera.
Isabella cried, pleading, “Don’t touch my sister!”
Liam paid no attention, sneering, “Are you trying to tell me what to do?”
