Chapter 80: Infinite Diesel, Finding the Seller
The bathroom in the bedroom was broken.
The three of them wanted to take a bath but had to use the communal washroom outside.
As usual, Alex walked over with his change of clothes.
But someone was inside.
With a towel draped over his shoulder, Alex was about to turn back.
“Huh?”
At that moment, he noticed some clothes placed outside the washroom.
Without much thought, Alex walked over and casually picked them up, intending to take them to the washing machine on the balcony.
These should be the dirty clothes from today’s change.
However, feeling the silky texture of the clothes, he sensed something was off.
It didn’t feel sweaty and sticky like clothes worn after sweating; instead, it felt clean.
Alex instinctively brought the clothes close to his nose and sniffed.
A faint lavender scent of laundry detergent emanated from the clothes.
It seemed like they were indeed clean.
Just then, the door opened.
Olivia walked out, wrapped in only a towel.
The towel wasn’t particularly thick, even a bit thin, barely covering half of Olivia’s thighs.
Olivia stared blankly at Alex, who was holding her clothes, sniffing them.
The two locked eyes, and the atmosphere became awkward for a moment.
Alex didn’t know what to say.
In this situation, he felt like one of those perverts sneaking around in the heroine’s bathroom in a cheesy movie.
“I’m doomed!” Alex lamented inwardly.
He could only slowly hand over the clothes.
“Uh, Olivia, your clothes…”
Olivia’s face flushed red, wishing she could find a hole to hide in.
She grabbed the clothes and retreated backward, intending to close the door behind her.
But then, she stumbled.
“Ah!”
Olivia cried out as she fell heavily to the ground.
Alex had already turned his head to leave, but upon hearing the cry behind him, he immediately turned back.

Seeing Olivia fall, he rushed in to help her up.
“Olivia, are you okay?”
Falling in the bathroom could potentially be life-threatening.
However, fortunately, Olivia had undergone numerous upgrades, and her physical condition was much better than before.
For her, it wasn’t considered dangerous.
Olivia shook her head.
“I’m fine.”
But she noticed that Alex didn’t speak immediately.
Olivia felt a bit awkward and lowered her head stiffly.
Her towel had slipped off due to the vigorous movement earlier.
Just now, she forgot to bring her clothes into the washroom.
After realizing this, she didn’t think much about it, simply tied the towel in a knot, and went outside to get her clothes.
Unexpectedly, so many accidents happened.
Alex finally understood why Olivia was the school’s beauty queen.
Descriptive words like “fair as snow” and “delicate as jade” were insufficient to express even a fraction of her beauty.
Olivia’s mind was also blank.
After a few seconds of daze, she quickly pulled up the towel to cover herself.
Rubbing his nose and face, Alex finally spoke.
“Olivia, let me help you out. The floor is cold.”
Olivia looked somewhat resentful and whispered, “You go out first, I need to get dressed…”
“Haha, sure!”
Upon hearing this, Alex immediately got up and slipped out quickly.
This incident became an unspoken agreement between the two, treated as their little secret.
So, now, watching Mia and Olivia play around, Alex couldn’t help but let his imagination run wild.
He had to stand up and say, “I’ll go to the rooftop to water the vegetables!”
Then he hurried away.
Watering the plants helped calm his mood a bit.
But thoughts of the concrete issue quickly clouded his mind again.
As he watered, he seemed to be talking to the vegetables.
“If we can’t upgrade to an intermediate underground bunker, we’ll have to leave the vegetables here.”
Alex shook his head and walked to the gazebo in the rooftop terrace, sitting on the stone bench, checking today’s unlimited supplies.
“Infinite diesel? Hmm, not bad!”
Previously, they had seized an armored vehicle from the Gale Warriors, but it had been idle because they lacked diesel.
Now, finally, this problem was solved.
It could be considered a significant combat asset.
Next, Alex scrolled through the chat channel, looking for any sellers of concrete.
ID 763468: “Seems like a lot of people are buying concrete lately?”
ID 672345: “All taken by some big teams. Upgrading the intermediate underground bunker requires five thousand units of concrete. Can’t help but go crazy with the purchases? I’ve already flipped some concrete for a little profit.”
ID 845645: “That’s great. Our team almost depleted our savings for building this underground bunker, let alone an intermediate one, which is too far for us.”
ID 845232: “Our team has plenty of concrete, just don’t know who to sell to. The Police Station, drug cartel, none of these teams need it anymore.”
“It’s tough, having concrete but nowhere to sell it… Our team hasn’t even finished building the underground bunker yet.”
ID 763466: “Damn, that’s tough luck, huh? Having concrete but no S-alloy, what a dramatic situation.”
ID 325534: “Bro, keep looking for buyers, someone will buy it eventually. If not, just take the supplies and join a big team to survive first.”
In the chat channel, many expressed pity for the team with a large amount of concrete but lacking S-alloy to build the underground bunker.
But there were also quite a few gloating.
ID 674645: “Can’t sell the concrete, might as well keep it to build your own coffin, sturdy, haha.”
ID 623465: “There’s a barrier to entry to big teams, okay? Their team can’t even gather enough S-alloy to build an underground bunker. Do you think big teams would want such useless trash? Don’t make me laugh.”
ID 10086: “Buying large quantities of concrete, price negotiable, DM.”
Alex sent a message.
Finally, he encountered one. With a team holding a large amount of concrete but unable to find a buyer, he naturally wanted to give it a try.
Then, he closed the chat channel, waiting for the other party to DM him.
However, after a while, there was no response at all.
Alex couldn’t help but doubt his judgment.
Were they really not in need of supplies?
Otherwise, why would they have put out the message for so long without any action? Shouldn’t they be eager to DM him?
Ding!
Alex smiled, knowing he had made the right bet.
