Chapter 94: Backpack Upgrade Scroll, This Deal Pays Off
Number 78945 cursed under his breath and hastily replied, “You can’t sell the item to him! I’ll definitely offer a higher price than him! You’re a businessman, how could you make a loss?”
Alex nearly burst out laughing.
This person’s true nature was finally revealed.
Just a little bit of provocation and his true colors came out immediately.
Just now, he was playing the emotional card, trying to use a barbecue grill blueprint as bait.
Now, he’s talking about doing business in a fair and square manner?
Alex chuckled and said, “But this person’s offer is much higher than yours! He’s offering two gasoline generators!”
“Two gasoline generators! In my opinion, that’s much better than your barbecue grill blueprint!”
“What barbecue grill? I can easily make a simple one myself! There’s no need to exchange such a valuable water purifier with you! Don’t you think?”
Number 78945 was suddenly flustered.
“No, I can offer an even higher price! I, I have something better than his!”
“Something better? Oh? I’d like to hear what else you have.”
“If the item is good, I can consider you as the first choice for trading!”
“You see, I don’t have many water purifiers. If they accidentally sell out, I’d be sorry, but there’s nothing I can do!”
“And, later on, I might even sell purified drinking water.” Alex smiled and said.
Number 78945 gritted his teeth and said, “You win, I’ll trade with you using the Backpack Upgrade Scroll!”
“When I opened the supply box, I got a Backpack Upgrade Scroll, which increases the carrying capacity of all item types.”
This time, it was Alex’s turn to be surprised.
“You can actually get that thing?”
It’s no wonder Alex was so surprised.
As the strength of survivors increased, they obtained more and more supplies, and the original backpack space gradually became insufficient.
Many times, they had to discard some impractical items.
At this point, someone got a Backpack Upgrade Scroll from the supply box.
However, this item has a very low drop rate and is almost non-existent on the market.
Alex realized that he had struck gold.
His infinite supplies didn’t take up any space, which was a kind of BUG.
But with more and more other supplies, his backpack was getting cramped.
However, he wasn’t worried. Instead, he calmly replied, “This is a good item, but there’s only one, don’t you think it’s too little?”
Although the Backpack Upgrade Scroll is very useful, it’s not indispensable.
After all, surplus items can be stored in the shelter instead of being stored in the backpack.

Number 78945 hurriedly said, “I really don’t have anything else, just this one!”
Reluctantly, Alex said, “Fine, list out all the items you have: one barbecue grill blueprint, one gasoline generator, and one Backpack Upgrade Scroll.”
The other party quickly put all the items on the trade interface.
Then, Alex clicked to confirm the trade and happily received his second harvest.
Walking into the house, the two women were busy cooking.
Alex sneakily approached Mia.
Mia noticed Alex’s approach and the closeness between them felt a bit unnatural. She casually glanced at Olivia who was concentrating on her task.
Then, she whispered, “What are you up to?”
Alex smirked, “I have a surprise for you guys!”
Olivia jumped at the sudden sound of Alex’s voice.
When she realized what was happening, she gave him a resentful look and muttered, “What surprise could there be? You were just shooting at our barrier early in the morning. Unless something good literally falls from the sky and hits you on the head?”
Mia stole a glance at Alex’s expression when she heard Olivia refer to it as “our house”.
Noticing he didn’t react to this detail, she chuckled inwardly.
Of course, Alex didn’t notice this. He cheerfully said, “Although it’s not something that falls from the sky, it’s still a pleasant surprise. We can have barbecue tonight!”
After that, Alex took out the barbecue grill blueprint he had just traded and showed it to the two women.
Mia and Olivia were both pleasantly surprised.
Although their current life as three was already very good, it lacked a bit of atmosphere.
“What did you trade for it?” Mia asked.
Proudly, Alex said, “A water purifier.”
Unexpectedly, both of them had a change in expression upon hearing this.
Mia complained, “You didn’t actually trade the water purifier for this, did you?”
Olivia also pouted, looking somewhat puzzled.
“Alex, why did you trade for this thing…”
Alex smiled and said, “Didn’t you mention a few days ago that you missed BBQ from our past life?”
“Well, now we have it, and tonight we’re having barbecue!”
Olivia blushed at his words.
She didn’t expect Alex to remember their casual conversation from a few days ago.
This made her develop some thoughts in her mind.
Mia, being observant, naturally noticed Olivia’s change in expression. However, Alex, with his wooden head, remained unaware of what Olivia might be thinking.
“Well, it’s fine. We’ll let it go this time since you meant well,” Mia said.
Alex smirked and replied, “Do you really think I’m that foolish? Trading just a barbecue grill for a large water purifier?”
“I also traded for a gasoline generator and a Backpack Upgrade Scroll!” he continued. “From now on, our little home won’t need to worry about electricity consumption, and you won’t have to worry about backpack capacity!”
Mia blushed slightly. Although Olivia knew the nature of her relationship with Alex, they hadn’t displayed such intimacy in public before. Moreover, there was a subtle dynamic between Olivia, Mia, and Alex.
Mia wasn’t as thick-skinned as Alex. As his partner, she had a keen sense.
After hearing Alex’s words, Olivia’s expression softened slightly.
“That’s good, then. We didn’t lose out,” she said.
“Of course not!” Alex grinned. “Get ready, I’ll go set up the barbecue grill.”
With that, he turned and headed to the outdoor terrace on the second floor.
Setting up the barbecue grill in an empty space, Alex clicked to start assembling it.
Their supplies were now plentiful, so making a barbecue grill didn’t faze them at all. With little effort, the grill was swiftly set up.
Afterwards, Alex returned to the villa, admiring the busy figures of Olivia and Mia in the open kitchen.
