Chapter 108: Bringing her back

Though Bai Qingshi and Su Hu did say a lot of flowery words to win over Bai Feng when they were locked up in the cell, they didn’t mean it. Nor did they feel guilty over the things that they had done to Bai Meiyue. The only thing that they were honest about was feeling regretful.

Of course, when they said that they were regretful, they meant that they were regretful over the fact that they were caught and failed in ruining Bai Meiyue.

Thus, even though they saw Bai Meiyue leaving the building, neither of them asked Bai Feng to stop and help Bai Meiyue. Instead, they hoped that Bai Meiyue would be bitten and killed by those monsters who were lurking outside for all the trouble that she had put them through.

What was more, the whole world seemed to have gone crazy. There were zombies and mutated rats lurking on the streets. Even in the building where they were living, a few zombies were lurking inside of the corridors. At that moment, Bai Qingshi and Su Hu absolutely refused to stay outside and wanted to go inside their house.

After all, even if there was no electricity and no water, the house was still safer than being outside!

Seeing that they didn’t say anything, Bai Feng pursed his lips. He brought the two of them to the building and hid the motorboat in his usual spot before taking the two of them upstairs.

Once they arrived at the penthouse, Bai Feng went to his room, ignoring the stinging sensation on his wrist where he was bitten by the mutated rat, and changed his clothes into a much more comfortable set of clothes and walked out of the closet.

He then took out a few pieces of ammunition that he had collected with the guns, as well as the bullets and cash. Even though he knew that it was not going to be used, he wanted to keep it in handy just in case.

Once he was done, he slung the backpack over his shoulder and then walked out of the room before saying to Bai Qingshi and the rest,

“I am going to find Yueyue. You all stay at home and don’t go outside.”

“You–you are going to bring that bitch—” Chu Xia began but was silenced when Bai Feng shot her a look.

He looked at Chu Xia coldly and questioned, “Aunt Chu, when you were in the prison, you kept saying how you were sorry for the things that you did to Yueyue and wanted to apologise. Now that you are out of prison, you are back to calling her a bitch? Were the things that you said in the prison cell all lies?”

Chu Xia choked but before she could say anything, Bai Qingshi got to her feet and slapped her in the face. He then turned to look at Bai Feng and smiled at him politely, “Feng’er, don’t listen to your mother; you know she is a bit arrogant and careless. Go and bring Yueyue back home.”

“She is all alone and looking for supplies; I wonder how she is doing.” Bai Qingshi pretended to be a good and caring father now that he was in the safety of his house, leaving Bai Feng to look at him with a hint of confusion and annoyance.

However, Bai Feng did not say anything and turned around to walk out of the room.

Once he was gone, Chu Xia pounced on her husband.

“You slapped me? You actually slapped me for that bitch! AHHH! I will fight you, Bai Qingshi!” As she screamed, she scratched Bai Qingshi’s face twice. She really hated the fact that he was actually raising his hand on her as he wished.

“Mad woman! Have you finally lost your mind?” Bai Qingshi asked as he raised his foot and kicked Chu Xia in the belly. “How can you attack me like that? Have you forgotten who I am?”

“I should be the one asking this to you!” Chu Xia climbed to her feet and pushed her hair away from her face. She glared at Bai Qingshi and said, “Why did you agree with that boy? You actually want him to bring that bitch back? Have you forgotten what she has done to us?”

“I haven’t forgotten anything,” Bai Qingshi rumbled. “Its you who have forgotten that Bai Feng cares about Bai Meiyue a lot; if you continue acting like this, won’t you make him dissatisfied with us?”

“Humph, sometimes I wonder if he knows that she is —”

“CHU XIA!” Before she could finish speaking, Bai Qingshi glared at her and silenced her from speaking any further. He glanced at the door nervously and muttered angrily, “How many times did I tell you to not bring that matter up?”

Chu Xia pursed her lips and didn’t say anything. She simply pursed her lips and looked away without saying anything anymore.

Bai Qingshi also calmed down and then said to her, “There is no need to worry so much. Have you forgotten? Bai Meiyue looks really pretty as long as we raise her for a few days. We can use her to exchange some supplies; after all, a few women did open skin business, didn’t they?”

The ones on the third floor were now selling their wives and daughters in exchange for a few supplies; Bai Qingshi planned to do the same. He couldn’t ask his precious daughter, Bai Xue, to do it; thus, he once again set his eyes on Bai Meiyue.

In his eyes, Bai Meiyue must be in the same situation as them or even worse. As long as he used the right means, he could pimp that woman out for the sake of some supplies.

When Chu Xia heard that Bai Qingshi wanted to use Bai Meiyue, she turned somewhat mollified. After all, as long as that woman was squashed under her feet, Chu Xia didn’t mind throwing some alms her way.

Bai Meiyue in the boat didn’t know that some people were still eyeing her and thinking of using her body. If she did, then she would have thrown her plan to slowly torment the Bai family at the back of her head and killed them all in one go. However, she didn’t know and at that moment she was more worried about looking for Shen Zhen.
