Chapter 122: Su Hu was beaten up
“By the way, where are my two brothers?” Bai Meiyue asked as she looked around the house but didn’t see them.

“Didn’t they say that they wanted to build the greenhouse?” Mother Bai placed the bowl of noodles and short ribs in front of Bai Meiyue and then said to her in a soft voice, “The two of them are busy with it; they told me that it’s a good chance to learn how to control their powers. They still cannot get the hang of using their newly awakened powers, so they are using my greenhouse as an experiment station.”

As she spoke, she raised her head and looked at the tweeting eagle that was carrying away a large box of tools.

Bai Meiyue also looked up and saw the bald eagle, who was trying hard not to look at them. If an eagle could sweatdrop, this one surely did.

“There is no need for them to work so hard; I have a few things that I need to collect. So after taking a nap, why don’t I take my brothers to hunt?” Bai Meiyue suggested and Mother Bai, who was cutting an apple, stiffened.

Bai Jixuan also heard the doorbell ring; he dropped the tool bag in the greenhouse and then came rushing down as he pulled his clothes up. Now that he was getting the hang of shifting into various animals, he also understood how to dress up just as quickly. He climbed down the stairs, patted the dirt off his hands and walked past the kitchen before heading to the door.

He walked past the main door and headed to the metal door that Bai Meiyue had installed right at the entrance of the corridor, which separated the corridor where they lived from the other two corridors. At the beginning of the apocalypse, this door was never locked but as soon as the people started to cause trouble, Bai Meiyue didn’t think twice before installing the door and making sure that no one would be able to enter the house without her permission.

Thus, just as Bai Jixuan came to a stop, he turned on the intercom and looked at the woman and man who were standing outside the door.

“Who are you?” Bai Jixuan asked with a frown. He thought that he had seen these two people but he couldn’t quite place his finger on it.

When Bai Xue heard a man’s voice coming from the intercom, her eyes flickered with disdain. Earlier, when Bai Meiyue came to help Bai Feng, Bai Xue just happened to be peeking out of the door. That was how she found out that the woman whom she had looked down on was actually living in the penthouse as well.

These past few days, she had been feeling relieved and happy by imagining the pitiful conditions in which Bai Meiyue must be living these days. However, she soon realised that it was she who thought too much!

Not only was Bai Meiyue safe and sound, but she was also living a better life than her.

When she came here, Bai Xue thought that it must be because Bai Meiyue sold the house that she snatched from her father but now that she had heard the voice of a man, she couldn’t help but sneer.

Didn’t Bai Meiyue act all haughty and even cause her to be thrown in prison for sending her to the bed of a man? Now what was this? Wasn’t she relying on a man?

“Hello, I am Bai Xue and this is Brother Su. Is Sister Meiyue inside? We need to talk to her about something,” Bai Xue answered in a sweet voice.

She would believe whatever this man named Su Hu told her.
