Chapter 141: Your husband was stolen
Bai Meiyue heard another bang and snapped out of her daze. She stepped out of the alley and looked at Bai Feng, who had taken down more than ten zombies with one fist.

He was still getting the hang of his powers; thus, Bai Feng couldn’t take down all the zombies at once but Bai Meiyue knew that once this man got used to handling his powers, he would certainly become a big shot.

She felt her facial muscles twitch and an overwhelming sense of loss and regret washed over her. If she had known that Bai Feng would awaken as a thunder-type supernatural being and not an earth-type, she would have killed him when she had the chance.

Now she was the one who was going to suffer!

However, Bai Meiyue calmed down after two breaths; even if Bai Feng awakened as a thunder-type supernatural being, he still owed her two life-saving graces, so there was nothing that she needed to worry about.

She watched Bai Zhan charge at the horde of zombies and attack them with his fist again. The spot where he smashed his fist exploded and countless strings of golden thunder enveloped the zombies. Bai Meiyue noticed how the thick tendrils curled around the zombies, making it impossible for the zombies to move as they could only struggle against their restraints before being charred into ashes.

Once the zombies were dealt with, Bai Zhan only needed to clean up and collect the crystal nuclei.

This man—he was even more skilled than he was in his past life.

“Yueyue, let us go!” Bai Zhan drove the SUV that belonged to their family and came to a stop where Bai Meiyue was standing. “Mom’s alone at home.”

Bai Meiyue hummed but then she turned to look at Bai Feng before saying to him, “Are you coming back with us or are you going to stay here?”

“I am coming back with you.” Bai Feng threw the crystal nuclei that he had plucked from the bloody pulp into his backpack and turned to walk towards the vehicle. There was no other choice; even if he wanted to stay back, he couldn’t. His car got smashed into a wall because he was surrounded by a bunch of zombies; if he didn’t return with Bai Meiyue and the rest, he would have to walk back home.

He got inside the car and looked at the two men who eyed him with distaste. For a second, he thought that the two of them would ask him to get out but Bai Zhan and Bai Jixuan only gave him a stinky eye and then ignored him completely, as if he were not even sitting in the car.

Fortunately, when they were driving back home, Bai Feng found a car showroom and he and Bai Meiyue picked up two heavy trucks that could be used in the apocalypse with ease.

Most importantly, these trucks could be charged with the help of solar panels. With the running resources, this was better than relying on cars that were running on gasoline.

Their group soon returned to the Sunshine Deluxe building; however, as soon as Bai Meiyue stepped out of the car, she saw a zombie rushing over where she was standing and frowned. She hurriedly took out the butcher knife and cut off the head of the zombie.

Using the water abilities, she washed and cleaned the nuclei before throwing it in her space pocket and muttered, “How come the zombies infested this area so soon?”

She had cleaned this area quite thoroughly; strictly speaking, this infestation should not have happened. Unless… someone brought these things here.

Bai Meiyue’s eyes flashed as she raised the knife and said to her brothers, “Keep your eyes open and don’t let your guard down.”

She looked at her elder brother who was supporting Tong Huan and said to him, “You stay back, Brother Zhan. I and Brother Jixuan will take care of these zombies.”

Bai Zhan nodded. Since he was responsible for taking care of someone, he wouldn’t do something reckless.

While he stayed behind, Bai Meiyue and Bai Jixuan charged at the zombies and started to clean up.

“I am sorry.” Tong Huan looked at Bai Zhan, who had to stay behind with her and felt a bit embarrassed. If she wasn’t injured, then Bai Zhan could have helped Bai Meiyue and his brother.

“There is no need to apologise,” said Bai Zhan calmly. “You are injured, and we cannot leave you alone. Just try to move a little less or else it will be dangerous for the both of us.”

Tong Huan smiled obediently and stopped moving completely. She leaned on Bai Zhan and allowed him to support her while Bai Meiyue cleaned up a path for them.

As they walked past the zombie-infested corridors, Sister Fang, who was peering out of the window, saw Bai Zhan supporting a pretty woman and sneered. She turned to look at Fang Qing, who was eating rat meat with relish and said to her, “Eat. keep eating; your husband has been snatched away and you are still eating.”

“What did you say?” Fang Qing threw the bone in her hands and turned to look at her sister, who was mocking her. “Bai Zhan is such a coward he would think twice before bringing another woman.”

“Hah, come and see. Not only has he brought a woman with him. He is even supporting her quite intimately.”

Fang Qing jumped on her feet and rushed to where her sister was standing. When she saw Bai Zhan helping a woman upstairs, her eyes turned red with anger. What did Bai Zhan mean by this? She was still waiting for him to bow his head and come looking for her but he actually brought another woman with him.

Fang Qing wanted to rush out and fight with him but when she saw the many zombies that were still lurking in the corridor, she hesitated and stayed inside the house. However, her eyes remained fixated on Bai Zhan and the woman he was supporting.

Bai Zhan! She was never going to let that man off so easily.
