The second Bai Meiyue and her brothers opened the door of the penthouse and stepped inside. Mother Bai, who was waiting anxiously for their return, rushed over and threw herself in Bai Meiyue’s arms.

“Mom? What’s the matter?” Bai Meiyue thought that her mother was worried because they returned late. She patted her mother on the back and said to her, “It’s alright, aren’t we back safe and sound?”

“I am going to have a word with Mom,” said Bai Jixuan angrily. “It is one thing that she is kind but she cannot be foolishly kind! Look at this; if those people were a bit more ruthless then—” he trailed off. Though he didn’t say anything, Bai Meiyue and Bai Zhan knew what he wanted to say.

Fortunately, the material of the door was good and it didn’t crack under the pressure but what if it did? Then who would be responsible for the loss of lives?

Like Yan Wanning said, the refugees on the tenth floor killed someone and occupied their houses for supplies. What if something similar happened to their family? Who would be responsible!? All because their mother was hesitant to attack first.

Bai Zhan didn’t say anything. Even though he was usually the one who was willing to spoil their mother, he too agreed with Bai Jixuan. They couldn’t take any more risks.

Bai Jixuan looked around and soon found a few scratches and dents on the side of the wall of the corridor. When he found these marks, he was so angry that he laughed.
